“This is some Jumanji sh*t…”
That line couldn’t be more apt to describe 13 Demons. A fresh take on the evils of roleplaying games and how the lines between games and reality can become blurred (anyone remember back in the 80s when Dungeons and Dragons was said to be the work of the devil?), 13 Demons sees three nerdy guys get a hold of a long-banned board game called 13 Daemons – why banned? Well apparently 30 years ago, when the game originally debuted, there was a slew of murders of innocent people by those that were playing the game; as the line between the game and reality became blurred for all that took part.
Of course our protagonists believe none of that, instead choosing to crack open 13 Daemons and...

Happy Independence Day, everyone! While most of us in the Us are busy with BBQs and enjoying some outdoor fun, that doesn’t mean this week’s Blu-ray and DVD releases are taking any time off, as we have a handful of titles making their debuts on July 4th.
Scream Factory has given the cult psychological thriller Windows something of an HD upgrade this week with their brand new Blu-ray, and we have several indie titles arriving on both formats as well, including Accidental Exorcist, Here Alone, Bethany, and Awakening the Zodiac. Rounding out the July 4th home releases are Peelers and a 9-movie creature feature set on DVD featuring all sorts of murderous beasties.
Accidental Exorcist (Cinedigm, Blu-ray & DVD)
A 30-something, dirt-poor alcoholic (Daniel Falicki) can't hold down a day job or maintain a normal life due to the fact that he is a natural-born exorcist. He soon learns...

In fact, he is the best there ever was and with possessions on the rise across the city, he’s booked solid. Reluctantly, he faces the fact that performing exorcisms is the only thing he’s truly good at even though it’s wearing him down and making his life utterly miserable. Richard can’t live a “normal” life because, well, he’s an exorcist. Gravitas Ventures has acquired North American rights to Daniel Falicki’s Accidental Exorcist, and along with this announcement comes an official trailer for the film.
Press Release: Gravitas Ventures has secured North American rights to “Accidental Exorcist” from Director Daniel Falicki, Executive Producer Warren Croyle and Producer Sheri Beth Dusek. Croyle and Dusek also wrote the script about Richard Vanuck (Falicki, “Devils in the Darkness”), a thirty-something, dirt poor alcoholic who can’t hold down a day job or maintain a normal life due to a very special “gift” he was born into.

Ever wanted something so badly that you'd do anything to obtain it? Like even make a deal with the devil? That's the premise of the new movie Ape, and we've got a trailer on tap that you won't even have to sell your soul to see.
Directed and written by Joel Potrykus for Sob Noisse Movies, Ape stars Joshua Burge (Coyote), Gary Bosek, Daniel Falicki, and Jason Roth.
Synopsis
Trevor Newandyke is a struggling small-time comedian. Not only does he bomb on stage, but he bombs in everyday life. To him, it’s the little things that matter most. He’s fed up with the threats from the cable company, 7-11 raising the price of the Slurpee, and all the jerks who think they can push him around. All he wants is a break, and for someone to get him. Not everyone, just someone.
But instead of taking a breath...
