This article contains spoilers for the TV series Pretty Little Liars.
Several characters took on the villainous mantle of ‘A’ across Pretty Little Liars’ seven seasons. Some were the true masterminds behind the plans for the Liars’ downfall, while others served as minions on the ‘A’ Team, there to do ‘A’s’ bidding and keep tabs on what the Liars were up to. Not every ‘A’ or member of the ‘A’ Team is equal though, with some being significantly more terrifying than others.
Here’s every person who was officially part of the ‘A’ conspiracy ranked by general scariness as blackmailers, stalkers, and criminal masterminds and by how satisfying their reveal was in the series.
13. Lucas Gottesman, Melissa Hastings
Lucas (Brendan Robinson) and Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) are tied for last place because both really only joined the ‘A’ team because they were being blackmailed themselves. Lucas does work with Mona...

How do you move forward to tell a story about someone in danger of retreating? That’s the big question for the creative team behind “Twentyfiveish,” an upcoming web series selected by IndieWire readers as Project of the Month for September 2016.
However you define “millenial,” there are certain anxieties that come from the uncertainty of the future and the growing pressures to enter adulthood in a predetermined way. That’s the challenge faced by Tucker (Brendan Robinson from “Pretty Little Liars”) on a weekend vacation, when he’s confronted by friends of the past and present.
With a team led by filmmaker Katie Micay and writer/producers Kyle Bown and Jacquelyn Ryan, production is scheduled to get under away in a few short weeks. But this story doesn’t end when shooting wraps. We spoke with Ryan via email about upcoming responsibilities beyond bringing “Twentyfiveish” to a screen.
What’s next for the project?...

After five seasons of shocking twists on Pretty Little Liars, the most stomach-churning remains the fact that 'A' got a little incestuous with her brother.
As seen in the summer finale, Charlotte Dilaurentis (Vanessa Ray) assumed the identity of CeCe Drake to get close to the family that had forsaken her as a child, making the unsuspecting Jason Dilaurentis (Drew Van Acker) her college boyfriend – though Ray told People in August that the couple "kept it PG, G for sure" and only kissed.

As the show enters its fifth season, Alison will return to Rosewood,...

Spoiler alert: Stop reading if you haven’t seen the fourth season premiere of ‘Pretty Little Liars!’
When executive producer Marlene King promised this would be a “season of answers,” she wasn’t kidding! The June 11 premiere of Pretty Little Liars cleared up nearly every lingering “A”-related question on my list — while simultaneously adding about a dozen more.
What’s In The Trunk?
Let’s start with the first, and most pressing, answer: Despite a million good guesses on Twitter, the contents of the trunk ended up being… a pig! Yes, just a dead pig. The real surprise was saved for the next day when the girls stumbled upon Wilden’s (Bryce Johnson) dead body. I guess he‘s the victim Lucy Hale warned us about!
Mona (Janel Parrish) also dropped some knowledge on the girls, clearing up questions we’ve had since season one. Here’s a pretty...

Byron’s mistress dropped a bombshell on Aria this week that could tie him to the show’s biggest mystery!
I’m no detective, clearly, but after watching the Jan. 15 episode of Pretty Little Liars, I think it’s safe to say Byron (Chad Lowe) is looking pretty guilty. Not only is he a creepy dad to Aria (Lucy Hale) and a potentially abusive boyfriend to Meredith (Amanda Schull), but given the new information revealed by his mistress-turned-girlfriend, it’s also very possible he killed Alison (Sasha Pieterse)!
Aria and Meredith bonded over their mutual annoyance with Mr. Lowe — they obviously don’t see eye to eye with Lena Dunham — and Meredith dropped a pretty big bombshell: She knew that Alison had been blackmailing Byron. In fact, Byron came to visit Meredith the night Alison disappeared, but he left her apartment to meet up with Ali!

All this week, Ology.com’s New TV Preview Week is celebrating our favorite (and least favorite) spring premieres by doing what we do best: watching them in advance and letting you know if they’re worth your time. Each day, we’ll be putting one major show under the microscope, and Monday, Terron R. Moore takes a look at what makes ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars so addictive.
Show: Pretty Little Liars, ABC Family
Timeslot: Tuesdays at 8pm
Seasons: 3 ½
The Basics: A gang of girls in Rosewood, Pa try and solve the mystery of who killed their old frenemy Alison, who was a pretty horrible human being (like Regina George, except way worse), and the further they dig, the more their frenemies keep dying.
Why We Love It: Creepy mystery? Shocking twists? High tween fashion and shirtless hunks? You’d be hard-pressed to find something not to love about Pll.

'A' has the residents of Rosewood in his/her/their crosshairs! Which of these 13 potential victims will bite the bullet? It sounds like "A" is opting for more tricks than treats on the Oct. 23 Halloween special of Pretty Little Liars, titled "This Is A Dark Ride," as ABC Family revealed today that one the show's main characters will be killed off! And in keeping with the episode's spooky theme, the network has narrowed down the list of potential victims to 13. Find out who could be on the chopping block! 1. Aria (Lucy Hale) 2. Hanna (Ashley Benson) 3. Spencer (Troian Bellisario) 4. Emily (Shay Mitchell) 5. Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) 6. Ezra (Ian Harding) 7. Jason (Drew Van Acker) 8. Jenna (Tammin Sursok) 9. Noel (Brant Daugherty) 10. Lucas (Brendan Robinson) 11. Paige (Lindsey Shaw) 12. Toby (Keegan Allen) 13. Garrett (Yani Gellman) While it's safe to assume the four mail liars will survive their trip on the "A" train, everyone else is fair game.

Growing up my staple television shows all came from the Nickelodeon Network. There were comedies such as All That, The Secret World of Alex Mack, Clarissa Explains It All, and so on. Nickelodeon seemed to be the voice of teens everywhere with quirky characters, fashion trends, catchy phrases and relatable story-lines that you wanted to model yourself after. It seems that tides have turned with the incredible breakout and phenomenal force of ABC Family which has become seemingly the voice of the new teen generation. With titillating and edgy programs like Pretty Little Liars, Bunheads, Baby Daddy, Switched At Birth, and The Lying Game, drama, humor, friendship, and family are all concepts and keywords that have taken center stage for teens and they can't seem to get enough of living for the thrills with ABC Family.
Everyone has their special TV nights, nights for "must-see TV," and growing up with Nickelodeon that was Saturday night.

Pretty Little Liars: ABC Family to Launch Weekly Web Series for Hiatus
Do you hate the Pretty Little Liars hiatus between the summer finale and the return in January? ABC Family feels your pain, because the network is unvieling a new weekly web series that will help fill the gap until the special Halloween episode.
“Pretty Dirty Secrets” will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 28th during the summer finale of Pretty Little Liars.
Eight different episodes will air every Tuesday on ABCFamily.com beginning at 5 Pm Pt/8 Pm Et.
The webseries will focus on the time between the Aug. 28th summer finale and the special Halloween episode of “Pretty Little Liars” airing in October, when the town of Rosewood is getting ready for Halloween. The local Halloween store in Rosewood is a busy place these days and a good spot for someone who wants to keep tabs on certain people.

Pretty Little Liars wraps up its summer season on August 28 with "The Lady Killer."
But fans of this ABC Family drama will have a chance to stick around Rosewood long after that, as the network announced today a spinoff Web series titled "Pretty Dirty Secrets."
As first reported by TV Guide, the show will consist of eight episodes and star Brant Daugherty (Noel), Yani Gellman (Garrett), Vanessa Ray (CeCe), Brendan Robinson (Lucas) and Drew Van Acker (Jason). It will also introduce a new character played by Aerial Miranda.
The installments will air every Tuesday at 5 Pt/8 Et on ABCFamily.com, commencing on the day of the midseason finale.
They will take place inside the local Halloween store - where Alison met Jenna for the first time and where viewers were exposed to the show's mysterious masked individual - and run until this year's special Halloween episode.

Plus, Ashley reveals Hanna's future with Caleb, and it's (mostly) good news! Lucas (Brendan Robinson) has always been an odd duck, but he reached new levels of insanity when he tried to kill Hanna in a rowboat — and Ashley Benson says the madness will definitely continue in season three. "He's becoming very sketchy and very different," Ashley told HollywoodLife.com and other reporters during a recent visit to the Pretty Little Liars set. "You won't even recognize him." And Ashley isn't just referring to Lucas' new facial hair — yes, that's real stubble in the above photo — but to a whole new demeanor for Rosewood High's creepiest creeper. "It’s nerve-wracking for all the girls, especially Hanna, because she knows him as 'cute' Lucas," Ashley said. "Now he’s changed and he can be someone who has been helping out with 'A.' We’re all just trying to figure it...

Come on, you knew the show's #1 hermaphrodite couldn't stay away for long! But can he really be trusted? Understandably shaken after her close encounter with death last week, Hanna (Ashley Benson) spent most of the Jan. 16 episode of Pretty Little Liars on high alert. And even with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and his beautiful new haircut by her side, she still said she wanted to vomit every time her phone rang. Gross. Hanna's paranoia was justified when Lucas (Brendan Robinson) broke into her house. In the middle of the night. In a thunderstorm. But instead of attacking her like she -- and the viewers -- assumed he would, Lucas got super weepy and started ranting about all this money he lost on a bet. It turns out he only skipped town to make back that money, which he stole from Caleb. Meanwhile, Emily (Shay Mitchell) tried to pick up where she...

Spoiler alert: Stop reading if you haven't seen the Jan. 9 episode of 'Pretty Little Liars!' The Jan. 9 episode of Pretty Little Liars found each of the girls' gentlemen in dangerous (mental) situations, and one may have actually revealed himself to be a member of the "A"-team! I'm, of course, talking about Lucas (Brendan Robinson), whose true nature was exposed at Caleb's (Tyler Blackburn) birthday party during a romantic -- actually, make that terrifying -- boat ride with Hanna (Ashley Benson.) He got a crazy look in his eyes and started apologizing for something he had to do, but thankfully Hanna's reflexes are quick as her wit, and she knocked him into the water with an oar. When "Pretty Little Liars" returns to ABC Family on Mon., Jan. 2, don't expect Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily to be the tight-knit best friends that viewers have come to love. The mysterious psycho-texter "A" has put the foursome through some tough times since the series premiered in summer 2010, but has she finally driven the girls apart?
It looks like one of the liars is going rogue.
"In the first half of Season 2, Emily was definitely getting attacked more than any of the other girls," Shay Mitchell told HuffPost TV at the December ABC Family holiday event. "In this second half, she’s finally taking a stand. She's more confident."
Emily won't be the only one trying to take down "A." The girls may have separate plans, but they are all finally taking action. The "Pretty Little Liars" take matters into their own hands, and try to take down their nasty tormentor for good.

Tell us which Rosewood resident is making the biggest blips on your 'A'-dar! Of all the many, Many questions posed by Pretty Little Liars over the years, the biggest one of all has always been the most simple: Who the f@$* is "A?" And it turns out we won't have to wait too much longer, as executive producer Marlene King tells Entertainment Weekly that his/her/their identity will be revealed on the March 19 season finale. That means we're just 97 days away from the big announcement -- but who's counting? With the epic unveiling finally in our sights, I think it's time to start placing our bets. Here are just a few of the folks I've got my eye on: *** Lucas (Brendan Robinson) -- Not only does Lucas have the brains (and the rage) to exact sweet revenge, but has anyone else noticed that none of the texts from "A" have been targeted against him?...
