Hollywood funnyman Will Ferrell is very serious about making sports history in the trailer for Ferrell Takes the Field.
The HBO documentary follows the Get Hard star's bid to play every single baseball position within one day.
Cameras followed Ferrell as he played for ten different teams from Major League Baseball's Cactus League to raise awareness for cancer research.
His goal was very simple – cement the name Will Ferrell in the pantheon of great players to have graced the diamond.
"Ruth, Mantle, Will Ferrell," he bellows to a cheering crowd in the trailer.
Aside from highlighting cancer research, the stunt was a tribute to baseball legend Bert Campaneris playing each baseball position in the major leagues back on September 8, 1965.
Ferrell Takes the Field premieres on HBO in the Us on Saturday, September 12 at 10pm Et.

Will Ferrell has taken the mound as "Rojo Johnson" for the Round Rock Express of the Pacific Coast League – final stat line: one pitch thrown, two beers slammed – and once turned Harry Caray's love of spare ribs into a SNL skit, so his latest baseball-related stunt really shouldn't come as a surprise.
On Thursday, he'll be barnstorming Major League Baseball's spring training, suiting up for ten different teams at five Arizona ballparks and playing "every position on the field, and maybe some off the field." It's all part of...
