Donald Arthur Ford was born on November 28th 1984 as the first son to
Carol Anderson and Donald Alexander Ford Jr. Donald has a younger
brother James. Donald or Don as most call him, grew up on the north
side suburbs of Chicago Illinois. He attended New Trier High school
from 1999-2003. Donald studied drawing, graphic design and 3-D
animation at Oakton Community College for two years and then moved to
Milwaukee Wisconsin where he studied Time-Based Media: Video at The
Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Donald graduated May of 2008
with a BFA and deans honors. Donald began making short films in 2003
and grew a passion for filmmaking. He has produced and directed a
handful of student and independent shorts including the 2006 Film Noir
inspired private eye mystery, "The Double Cross", the 2007 silent
comedy parody "A Fistful of Dollar", the 2007 documentary "An Urban
Wilderness: The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center", and the 2008 cop drama
"Blue Lines". Donald Ford started his own freelance video business in
2007 under Don Ford Productions. Don's clients have included The
Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, Robert W. Baird and co. and Northwestern
University. Don has also worked as a production assistant at TMK
Productions in Northfield Illinois and has most recently worked as
second unit director on Stolen Light Films "Still Life" for
director/producer Jason Satterfield.
