McFarland & Pecci present the teaser trailer for The Dead Can’t Be Distracted. This visually stunning fan film is a brand new take on the Punisher inspired by the recent series by Greg Rucka. The film stars newcomer Nick Apostolides as a younger, more rugged, Castle who shares screen time with Evalena Marie (Steve Niles Remains) as Sargent Cole-Alves. Looks pretty damned good, eh? Filmmakers Ian McFarland and Mike Pecci are aiming to release "The Dead Can't Be Distracted" later this summer. It will take inspiration from Greg Rucka's superb run - pencilled by Marco Checchetto for the most part - which was sadly cut short for Frank Castle to be made a part of the critically panned "Marvel Now!" Thunderbolts series. More promotional images can be found over at Comic Book Resources.

The latest video from 7L & Esoteric is a refreshing new approach to hip hop music videos. Brutally honest In a genre filled with bravado and flashy extravagance, 7Les along with the directing team McFarland & Pecci set out to make a bad situation as real as possible.
Ian Mcfarland: “Mike and I saw an article in the New York Times on joy riders in Ireland and we both called each other and said this would make an amazing video! The photography by Ross McDonnell had this beautiful gritty realism that would be perfect for hip hop and the embedded feel that the photographer captured really piqued my interest.”
Mike Pecci: I saw this video as an opportunity to create a real world in which the violence and edge that hip hop wants to have could actually exist. Esoteric was a perfect match and understood what we were going for immediately.

The 16th annual Bradford International Film Festival, which will run March 18-28, is a total celebration of all forms of cinema, from classic films to modern world cinema to a tribute to Cinerama and more. But, most excitingly, is a bombastic collection of some of the best, most exciting underground films being made today.
From Bad Lit’s perspective, the most thrilling screening of the entire 10-day affair is the new film by British filmmaker Peter Whitehead, Terrorism Considered as One of the Fine Arts. In the U.S., Whitehead is a “lost” filmmaker from the underground’s heyday in the ’60s, being left out of most histories of the underground movement. Whitehead directed several influential films, including Wholly Communion and The Fall, before dropping out of filmmaking in the mid-’70s.
Film historian Jack Sargeant wrote extensively about and interviewed Whitehead for his wonderful book on Beat cinema, Naked Lens.

As we hinted late last year, industrial-metal icons Fear Factory decided to set aside their usual dystopian future visions when undertaking the video for Fear Campaign – the latest single from their long-awaited album Mechanize – and focus instead on the horrors humanity has unleashed upon the real world. They weren't kidding either; it's a pretty chilling spectacle. But hey, fear is this band's business... and from the look of this one, business is pretty damn good. Go below the fold and unleash the hounds of hell! As we mentioned back in December, the La-shot video for Fear Campaign incorporates a concept that band frontman Burton C. Bell devised with Emmy-nominated filmmakers Ian McFarland and Mike...

Back in fearful force with their upcoming album Mechanize, industrial-metal giants Fear Factory are kicking off the production process on the video for the first single, Fear Campaign. Frontman Burton C. Bell has described the band's new material as more brutally realistic than their past work, suggesting that reality has finally caught up with the dystopian nightmare worlds they only fantasized about in their music before. That's a pretty heavy prospect... but heavy is how these guys roll. Find out more about the video after the jump! According to the latest from Blabbermouth.net, Ian McFarland and Mike Pecci will be sharing directing duties on the Fear Campaign video, and McFarland recently discussed the overall...
