Got the Monday blahs? Let’s see if I can perk up the start of your week with a flurry of scoops, teases and sound bites from some of TV’s hottest shows and stars.
Hooray for Hollywood! | I’ve said it before: I’ve never met a meta reference I didn’t like, and tonight’s Castle (ABC, 10/9c) promises to serve up plenty as Kate and Rick chase a case to Los Angeles – and along the way, set foot at the studio where Nikki Heat’s big-screen debut is filming. I’m told that the scenes at the...

We’ve been hearing about Castle’s Los Angeles excursion, but now comes the first look at the episode airing May 2. In the episode, called “To Love and Die in L.A.,” Beckett (Stana Katic) goes rogue and follows a suspect in the shooting death of her former partner to Los Angeles against orders. Castle (Nathan Fillion) tags along, and they end up visiting the set of the Heat Wave movie and enlist the cast to help break the case. Sadly, Laura Prepon won’t recur as the actress playing Nikki Heat, the heroine of Castle’s crime novels inspired by Beckett.

Is it just me or “To Love and Die in La” is sounding more and more like it’s going to be a jam packed episode?
Not that that is a bad thing, but from the avalanche of spoilers that has been released recently, I am starting to think that it just might be a little too jam packed and I just hope it won’t damage the storytelling. Maybe it’s just a way to increase the hype around the episode, but it feels like there will be a lot of subplots going on to cram it all into 42 minutes.
Let’s recapitulate what we know so far:
Beckett’s former mentor is murdered. Since it has been confirmed that Jason Beghe – who played her mentor Mike Royce back in “Under the Gun” – is guest starring in this episode, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that he is the victim.

Looks like there will be a lot going on in the upcoming Castle episode “To Love and Die in La”. TV Guide has just revealed who will be playing Detectives Ryan and Esposito counterparts in the Heat Wave movie. Ryan Deal (left) and Justice Gamble (right) will play Detectives Raley and Ochoa in the fictional big screen. While we will not see Natalie Rhodes in this episode – a total shame, if you ask me – we will finally get to meet Detective Heat’s partners.
I am curious about who is playing Rook, though, and why all this mystery surrounding him. This La episode would be an excellent opportunity to meet him. Oh well, maybe that means that there is yet another La trip to be made next season for the Heat Wave premiere.
In other casting news, D. B. Sweeney will also guest star on this already highly anticipated episode.

The third season of Castle premieres on Monday, September 20. We previously posted promo photos for this episode and now we have four sneak peeks from ABC to share with you below.
Nathan Fillion And Stana Katic Return For Season Three Of “Castle”
When the new season of “Castle” begins, Beckett hasn’t heard from Castle since he left for the Hamptons months ago to finish writing his second Nikki Heat novel, “Naked Heat” (on sale September 28). The most Beckett, Ryan and Esposito have seen of Castle is a bookstore standee of him advertising an upcoming book signing. So when Beckett and her team burst into a shadowy apartment on the trail of a murderer, the last thing they expect to see is the real-life Castle standing over a dead woman’s body holding a gun! As Castle protests his innocence, Beckett has no choice but to arrest him on suspicion of murder,...
