On May 14 of this year, Kiefer Sutherland appeared on stage at ABC’s Upfront presentation to reflect on Designated Survivor‘s freshman run and then tease of Season 2 — quite far in advance — a “midseason event that I believe will knock the socks off of our audience.”
Well hold onto your Hanes, because that time arrives on Wednesday at 10/9c.

Former Stanford University student Brock Turner is scheduled to be released from prison on Friday after serving three months for sexual assault. The 21-year-old was sentenced to jail for six months but has served only three, probably because of good behavior, Sf Gate reports. Turner was convicted of three felony counts for sexually assaulting an unconscious and intoxicated woman in 2015 at a fraternity party, and his case sparked outrage in January when Judge Aaron Persky handed down what many believed to be an extremely light sentence considering the severity of the crime. Pre-credit sequence. When we left things, Rodney had just been blindsided by Joaquin's eviction. This won't go well. Escameca returns and Rodney is simmering. "It's the game," Joe says, philosophically and still in the game. Tyler is the first to express his disappointment and to praise the Blue Collar tribe for its Rodney-excluding unity. It falls to Mike to attempt to coddle Rodney. "Hopefully he doesn't take it too personal," Mike tells us, suggesting he's never actually met Rodney. Mike takes a walk with Rodney and explains that their perception was that Joaquin was reeling him in. "I was working on a fugazi fake alliance," Rodney protests, adding that he thought he was Michael Jordan and now he's feeling like Luc Longley. "I'm acting, bro. I'm putting on my De Niro," Rodney insists. News
Sega has unveiled the inevitable pre-order Dlc deal for Alien: Isolation, and it takes players back to the original 1979 movie, Alien, giving us a chance to play out two scenes from the film.
Pre-orders in the UK (and presumably other regions) will all receive an upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which will include the Dlc, Crew Expendable. This Dlc lets players pick one of the original crew, including Dallas, Parker, and, of course, Ellen Ripley. Events take place after the death of Brett, and players must work with fellow survivors, Lambert and Ash, exploring the Nostromo in order to lure the deadly xenomorph into the ship's airlock.
That's not all, though. Those who buy the game from select retailers will also get access to the Last Survivor Dlc. This sees Ellen Ripley alone on the Nostromo,...

CBS’ Criminal Minds this Wednesday scared up 12.3 million total viewers and a 2.8 demo rating, rising 6 percent and a tenth to hit and tie season highs.
Opening the Eye’s night, Survivor (10.1 mil/2.4) added a few eyeballs but dipped a tenth in the demo. And CSI closed things out with 11 mil/2.1, rising 5 percent and two tenths.
Elsewhere….
ABC | The Middle (8.4 mil/2.2) and Back in the Game (6.1 mil/1.6) both lost some viewers and slipped two tenths in the demo, with the latter hitting a season low. Modern Family (10 mil/3.3) was down 7 and 13 percent, while Super Fun Night (5.7 mil/1.9) inched down a tenth.

Rumours circulating that Bethesda will announce Fallout 4 at next month's VGAs have been bolstered by trademark registrations...
It's been a while since Bethesda last visited the irradiated wastelands of the Fallout series, passing off the last outing, Fallout: New Vegas, to Obsidian. Rumours that the original team has been working on Fallout 4 have been around for a while, and now it seems as though there's more to these rumours than wishful thinking.
As seen on website Ohim (link below), Bethesda has filed for the Fallout 4 trademark, which covers digital media and merchandise. Alongside this, the mysterious teaser website, Survivor 2299 appeared last week, with a countdown that ends on December 11, the same week of this year's Spike Vga Awards, which many believe is when Fallout 4 will be announced. The website features the Vault-Tec logo, and a countdown timer.
Perhaps totally coincidental and unrelated is the...

The Revolution was televised… to a slightly smaller demo rating, as NBC’s sophomore drama christened its new Wednesday time slot sans a cushy Voice lead-in.
With a total audience of 6.8 million viewers matching its series-low 1.8 rating, Revolution was of course down sharply from its rather boffo series premiere (11.7 mil/4.1), but also off two tenths from its freshman finale (6.2 mil/2.0), both of which aired Mondays at 10.

The dead gunman, 34, allegedly responsible for killing 12 people at the DC Navy Yard on Sept. 16, has had previous run-ins with the law before, leading to a minor criminal record — up until now.
Aaron Alexis died on Sept. 16, alongside 12 Navy Yard victims he is suspected of opening fire on and killing. HollywoodLife.com has rounded up five things to know about Aaron, indicating a very troubled and spotty past.
Aaron Alexis: Alleged Navy Yard Shooting Gunman
After being identified as a suspect at the Washington, D.C. Navy Yard shooting, everyone is curious to know just what Aaron’s background was. Who is he?
1. He enrolled in the U.S. Navy Reserves in 2007 as a mate to a navy electrician, and was discharged in 2011.
2. The reason for his discharge was because of an arrest for firing a gun inside his apartment in 2010, when he was based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Infestation: Survivor Stories is the new name for The War Z following trademark issues...
Online zombie survival title, The War Z, has been forced to change its name due to “confusion and trademark issues with a similarly titled property.” The new name for the game will be Infestation: Survivor Stories, which is far more generic, but much more unlikely to be the subject of confusion with a certain film starring Brad Pitt.
Yes, although the official announcement (via the game's forum – link below) makes no specific mention of World War Z, it does state issues with a “similarly titled property”, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to link the game and the new zombie blockbuster.
The game has suffered from much more than trademark issues, and has, in the past, been removed from Steam due to gameplay problems. This change is in name only,...

At the end of last week’s Survivor, Jeff Probst was seen in the “Next time on…Survivor!” clips saying three of my favorite words, “Drop your buffs.” Any fan of the show knows exactly what those words mean: it’s time for a tribal switch! Now, mixing up the tribes is certainly nothing new for the series. In fact, tonight’s episode will feature the eleventh time in twenty-one seasons (not counting the return of a pair of Outcasts on Survivor: Pearl Islands, or the quick merging of the racially-divided tribes on Survivor: Cook Islands) that the two individual tribes will be shuffled. This event is an important tool for the producers because it can be deployed to mix up tribes that are drastically uneven, or provide drama in changing intra-tribal alliances and heightening the strategy inherent in a post-Merge reunion of former tribemates. All tribe switches are not equal though,...

To Full Frontal Or To Not Full Frontal
When I saw the first headline trumpeting news about Justin Long's inadvertent full frontal nude scene in his upcoming movie Going the Distance, I knew how the story would end before I even started it: namely, that particular scene would not end up in the movie. Americans as a whole are still supposedly way too squeamish to actually be confronted with a guy's junk onscreen, especially in a romantic comedy like Going the Distance.
Justin Long
Which doesn't make sense given that Nanette Burstein, Gtd's director, was supposedly so taken with Christina Applegate's shocked reaction to Justin's junk that she filmed the scene that way ten more times before eventually deciding not to use it. Or someone decided she shouldn't use it. Btw, imagine if this were a gay director who did that. Tongues would be wagging even though...

Once again I welcome you all to another edition of TV or Not TV. I’ve got a lot of thoughts for this week so please bare with me as I bounce around through all of them. Also be forewarned if you still haven’t watched last week’s episode of Lost I’d encourage you to just skip ahead to the listings.
I wanted to start by talking about last week’s episode of Lost titled The Lighthouse. First and foremost I was hoping with a title like The Lighthouse they would actually be shedding some light on what, exactly, is going on with this whacky Island. Although they didn’t do this they did give us a bit more insight into part of the story we were told last week during The Substitute. I also wasn’t very sure what I was in for because of another Tweet by executive producer Damon Lindelof.

Chicago – ABC is still struggling to find the next big hit to stand next to monsters like “Lost,” “Desperate Housewives,” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” and they decided to give Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic’s “Castle” a shot at hit status, but cancelled several other new shows, including “The Unusuals” and “Cupid”.
ABC announced their fall schedule today and made a few surprise choices, bringing back the increasingly interesting “Castle” and giving another chance to “Better Off Ted” and “True Beauty”.
Perhaps the most surprising move, especially considering the show’s poignant and excellent series finale, has to be the return of “Scrubs,” which will be back for midseason. They also announced 11 new series for fall and midseason.
