New rule: you are not allowed to define yourself as a female-led film if you are using the females in your film to make young women feel shite about themselves. If the females leading your film are Trojan horses for an army of innuendo, slut-shaming and fat jokes they can do one.
The average UK dress size is 16, meaning that a number of the intended audience for British rom-com Me, Myself and Di will be curvy like its protagonist Janet. Janet loves ‘80s music, her Bhangra class and Heat magazine, she’s a happy soul who is content with her lot despite daydreams of finding her soulmate. It seems odd then that Me, Myself and Di devotes so much runtime to tearing Janet down.

Tyger Drew-Honey has slammed plans to axe BBC Three. The 'Outnumbered' star has spoken out against the broadcaster's plans to make the channel online only, to insist it would make more sense to get rid of BBC Four. Tyger exclusively told Bang Showbiz: ''I'm not particularly happy about the plans to get rid of BBC Three. I think it's got a really good balance of content for a wide range of ages and I think they'd have been far better off axing BBC Four. A cuckoo is a bird that lays its eggs in other bird’s nests, so in human form it’s easy to assume that the Cuckoo is another man moving into a family’s home and encroaching on the territory of the parents. In Cuckoo the BBC comedy it’s not only about the family but also an American comedian going head to head with a British one. When these comedians are Andy Samberg and Greg Davies the results are as expected, very funny.
When Ken Thompson’s (Greg Davies) daughter arrives home from holiday with a new husband he is horrified by what he comes face to face with. Cuckoo (Andy Samberg) is a new age hippy with a liking for drugs and getting naked when the urge takes him. As the two get...

Digital Spy spoke with Outnumbered veteran Tyger Drew-Honey - who returns as moody teen Dylan - to talk losing the original Cuckoo and working with his surprise replacement.
Wondering why it's taken so long for Cuckoo to come back? Blame Andy Samberg's schedule.

Tyger Drew-Honey has described his new Cuckoo co-star Taylor Lautner as "fantastically talented".
Twilight star Lautner will join the BBC Three sitcom for its second series, stepping in for the absent Andy Samberg.
"It's great," Drew-Honey told Digital Spy. "He's a really lovely guy - we get on really well. We're just like mates.
"He's fantastically talented - not only [can he do] comedy acting, but he does all his own stunts."
However, the 18-year-old actor admitted that he does miss working with original Cuckoo lead Samberg, who now stars in Us sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
"Whenever you do a show with any cast and crew, you get this bond and everybody's part of a team," Drew-Honey said. "So when it changes obviously there is that element of missing him."
Samberg starred in the first series of Cuckoo as the title character - an eccentric hippie who causes trouble for Greg Davies's uptight father Ken Thompson.

BBC Three could become an online-only channel, a report claims.
Shifting the channel's programming entirely to iPlayer is a "favoured proposal" within the BBC, says Broadcast.
BBC director general Tony Hall recently announced that cuts of £100 million would have to be made at the corporation, with speculation rising that BBC Three could be shut down to save costs.
Jack Whitehall, Matt Lucas and other high-profile stars who have appeared on the channel have spoken out against the rumoured axing.
In a recent statement, a BBC spokesperson insisted that "no decisions have been made" regarding budget cuts or the future of BBC Three.
"Tony Hall set out some of the very real challenges the BBC faces at his speech in Oxford," the spokesperson said. "He made clear that we will face tough choices about our budgets, and while nothing is off the table, no decisions have been made."

Hollywood actor and star of the Twilight franchise, Taylor Lautner is set to join the second series of BAFTA-nominated comedy Cuckoo on BBC Three.
Taylor Lautner starred as Jacob Black in the blockbuster Twilight saga. He will play a handsome and mysterious stranger in the new series of Cuckoo, who turns up in Lichfield where life in the Thompson household is only just getting back to normal after the disappearance of Cuckoo (Andy Samberg) while on walkabout in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Ken (Greg Davies) and Lorna (Helen Baxendale) are looking forward to a future without the kids under their feet. Dylan (Tyger Drew-Honey) is about to go to university and Rachel (Tamla Kari) is rebuilding her life with her new boyfriend, a nice-but-dull lawyer, Ben. Despite appearances, Cuckoo’s absence is still felt – not least by his young widow, Rachel. Everyone worries she’s lost her mojo since the tragic events in Asia.

Twilight's Taylor Lautner is the surprise replacement for Andy Samberg in BBC Three's second series of Cuckoo.
Samberg exits the show after one series, following the huge success of his Fox sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Many predicted the BBC Three comedy would end with his departure.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 9 reasons to watch E4's hilarious new Us comedy
However, the casting of Hollywood star Lautner has revived the sitcom, which also stars Greg Davies, Helen Baxendale, Tamla Kari and Tyger Drew-Honey.
The first series of Cuckoo won a record-breaking launch audience for BBC Three and also earned two British Comedy Award nominations.
Series two picks up with Samberg's character Cuckoo missing - presumed dead - in the Himalayas, and his young widow Rachel (Kari) is still suffering from the loss of her husband.
Lautner is cast as "a handsome and mysterious young stranger" in Lichfield, who shakes up the fragile equilibrium.

Outnumbered is set to return for a fifth series this year. Apart from a Christmas Special, the last full series was back in 2011 and the new series show just how much those Brockman kids have grown, including a new hair colour for Karen.
Beleaguered parents Pete (Hugh Dennis) and Sue (Claire Skinner) continue to battle through life both within and outside of their hectic household. Sue has a brand new office job and, predictably, struggles to maintain an aura of composure with her three growing offspring to contend with back home, while Pete is besieged by unreliable technologies.
Jake (played by 17 year old Tyger Drew-Honey) is sporting a new tattoo - of sorts - and is getting behind the wheel to learn to drive.
Tone-deaf Ben (played by the now 14 year old Daniel Roche) is set to take the lead in his school play - a musical version of Spartacus.
