If you are currently reading this, then I believe congratulations are in order! Yes, pat yourself on your assumedly emaciated back -- you deserve it for having survived the most boring cycle of America's Next Top Model ever! To quote Bre from Cycle 5, "I just wanted to take of my heels and throw Up." Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a gimmick (of which this cycle had no shortage), but the gimmicks here were recycled and played-out, and the lack of engaging/amusing interactions between the girls themselves made for one long, painful yawn of a season. I won't spoil who the recipient of the Antm College Edition crown was just yet, but I will say that the outcome is even more blah than the hyper-bland one we'd all anticipated.

Hello there, and welcome back to the wet and wild world of America's Next Top Model! This week's installation was weird all-around, from the lazy editing to the equine violence to the self-deprecating confessionals. In fact, the entire mood surrounding the episode was somber -- I kept noticing how completely devastated and strung out all the girls were, despite the looming mixed bag of prizes. In cycles of yore, the contestants would be stressed, yes, as the competition neared its close, but also optimistic and somewhat jubilant -- I don't know what kind of maltreatment has been going down in the Top Model house this time around, but everyone looks severely wounded and desperate to escape.
The episode opens with staged shots of each girl pensively pacing the beach as she considers her Top Model existence. Sepia-tone images of the judges fade across the screen, accompanied by the soft echo of former critiques like,...

A $4.5m campaign that will run across multiple platforms for energy drink V is aiming to offer to its customers experiences that money can’t buy.
Created by Clemenger Bbdo Sydney, the campaign, centred around a rental service will include offers of body building removalists, a pimped-out jacuzzi truck, and puppy wingman to V customers who collect barcodes through an invented company, V Rentals.
A 60-second ad will be backed by four 15-second clips.
Alongside the Tvc is a series of webisodes that follow V-Rental owner Glen Gibbon and his experience running the company with casting directors Dave Collins from the Umbilical Brothers and stand up comedian Paul Ayre.
Cameron Davidson, marketing director at V’s mother company Frucor Australia said: “Brands today can’t just say, they have to do, but you have to do in a way that only your brand can. You have to go beyond advertising...

America's Next Top Model 18.11 "Jez Smith" Review
You guys, this is basically my relationship with Tyra at this point:
I may not be a pretty blonde teenage girl and she may not be a ghost-faced killer hellbent on my demise (...that I know of), but I'm beginning to think that Bankable Productions has been keeping an eye on me since I began trashing covering Top Model in cycle 16. How else do you explain yet another facet of an article I wrote about the show ending up making it...onto the show? First, that horrible, horrible villain toyed with me, eliminating contestant after contestant that I either loved or thought had the competition on lock (right after I wrote about them!) to let me know that she was coming for me. Now that I've spent a good three cycles cowering in the corner, fearing for my life (and the possibility of...

The CW will have more fierceness and smizing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered another season of "America's Next Top Model" -- Cycle 19, to be exact. The new season of "Top Model," a college edition, will debut in the fall.
The news arrives just days before the start of Cycle 18 (premieres Wed., Feb. 29, 9 p.m. Est), which will pit British models against American contestants. Cycle 18 guest judges include Kelly Osbourne, Kris Jenner, pop star Estelle, "So You Think You Can Dance" host Cat Deeley, former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta and fashion photographer Jez Smith.
"America's Next Top Model" got its start on Upn and moved over to The CW when The WB and Upn merged in 2006. It is the only Upn show still standing on The CW. "Top Model" has lost steam in the ratings over the years, but is still one of The CW's strongest players.
