The biggest names in sports invaded Los Angeles this week for the Nickelodeon “Kids’ Choice Sports 2017” on Thursday. And after the serious and culturally-impactful tone of the ESPYs the night before (plus a plenty of very funny jokes from host Peyton Manning), it was all about slime-filled fun for Nickelodeon’s annual show. From Russell Wilson getting down and dirty as host for the third year running to Lindsey Vonn viciously tackling Prince Fielder, there was non-stop action spilling out of UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. Prince Fielder’s nude cover of Esnp Magazine’s Body Issue hit stands on Tuesday and quickly took over Twitter, with users tweeting #HuskyTwitter in support of Fielder’s bold move.
Prince Fielder Covers Esnp Magazine Body Issue
Fielder, a Mlb infielder for the Texas Rangers, is just one of the many athletes gracing this year’s Body Issue, which traditionally features incredibly fit athletes posing nude – not dissimilar to what one might find in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Fans were surprised, to say the least, when they saw that one of this year’s Body Issue covers features Fielder, known, in part, for his chubby physique. Fielder’s cover stands out from the rest: not only is his upper body covered in tattoos, he is also the only athlete featured that doesn’t have a six-pack.

Texas Rangers first baseman Prince Fielder is one of six world-class athletes who appears nude on the July cover of Espn The Magazine's Body Issue, but the response so far has been mixed. “The Body Issue is Espn The Magazine's annual celebration of athletes’ amazing bodies, where we stop to admire the vast potential of the human form,” says Espn on their website, but many sports fans are expressing anything but admiration for how the 30-year-old slugger looks naked. Fielder is a five time all-star and one of the more celebrated players in Major League Baseball, but many detractors were underwhelmed.

"New Girl" may have Prince for its special post-Super Bowl Xlviii episode, but Andy Samberg is trying to get a Prince for the post-game episode of his Golden Globe-winning comedy, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."
"We're going to get Prince Fielder from the [Texas Rangers]," he jokes to Zap2it about the big episode. "We're just gonna say 'Prince...' We'll do an ellipsis after Prince and then maybe put Fielder in parentheses."
Samberg had been out until 4 a.m. celebrating his Golden Globe win the night before he spoke to Zap2it -- "It's the only time I've ever showed up to work slightly drunk and got a standing ovation from my co-workers," he jokes -- but even sleep deprivation wouldn't get him to reveal anything too major about the comedy's big episode.

Back in September, we first heard about Detroit Rubber, the Loud channel web series produced by Eminem's Shady Films team. Since then, we've done plenty of speculation about the series, going as far as calling it the key to Loud's potential renewal by Google. The series has now debuted, with the first episode featuring several illustrious guest stars. Detroit Rubber follows the shoe-related exploits of Burn Rubber, a Detroit-area sneaker boutique run by Rick Williams and Roland “Ro” Coit. In the first episode, Tigers slugger Prince Fielder gives the pair a nigh-impossible task: acquire a pair of Air Jordan Retro 4 Eminem Encore sneakers; only 50 pairs of the shoe exist, and to find a pair Rick and Ro must pay Em, the episode's second guest star, a visit. "The guys from Burn Rubber represent what Detroit Hustle is all about: passion, pride and hard work,” says Eminem. “We’re excited...

Prince Fielder, Detroit Tigers slugger, had a big request when he appeared on the first episode of "Detroit Rubber," a new show on the YouTube channel Loud -- one that led him all the way to the show's producer, rapper Eminem.
Fielder visited Burn Rubber, a sneaker shop in Detroit suburb Royal Oak that is the focus of the new web series. He asked owners Ro Colt and Rick Williams to help him find an elusive shoe, the Air Jordan 4 Retro, Eminem Encore edition. Only 50 pairs were produced for Eminem's circle, according to the site KicksonFire.com. But that didn't stop Fielder.
"I've got the World Series coming up, and I need some new kicks. So don't let me down," he said in the episode.
The show follows Colt and Williams as they call in favors and crack jokes at Burn Rubber.

Whispers of an upcoming solo album have surrounded Eminem for some time now, and the Detroit rapper has apparently confirmed them -- on a hat.
The Eminem Tribute Baseball Champ Hat, available online for $30, has a list of Em's "landmark solo albums" on the side. The last date on the snapback? 2013.
Without a title, tracklist or any other specifics to go on, fans are left wondering if the new disc will feature the aggressive, hungry rapper of Eminem's earlier albums, or the inspirational motivator of his newer work, like 2010's "Recovery."
That album topped the charts and rode the success of singles like "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie," the latter of which featured Rihanna. Since then, the rapper has remained busy coaxing projects like Slaughterhouse's LP through his Shady Records imprint.
Eminem has also spent some time hobnobbing with baseballers, recently hosting Detroit Tigers slugger Prince Fielder in his studio.

It's great to see two of Detroit's superstars meeting in person, like when Eminem offers (adopted Detroiter) Prince Fielder a helping hand.
The rapper hosted the Tigers slugger at his studio in a Fox Sports segment before the ballplayer and his team suffered a painful defeat in Game 1 of the World Series Wednesday night.
"This is great, man, it's exciting," Eminem said in the segment. "Let's do it."
"Yeah, just four more wins." Prince Fielder replied.
"No I mean, let's do it. You need a pinch hitter?"
Eminem, who has been in town making a music video or two, went on to claim he was ambidextrous and could also pitch.

With just one week remaining in the regular season and with most of the post-season berths already occupied, the attention of Mlb fans around the world has turned to the thorny issue of individual awards – which player deserves to win what. Every year there seems to be a huge amount of debate about the Mvp (Most Valuable Player) winners from both leagues, and this year’s American League Mvp race is proving to be no different. With respect to Edwin Encarnacion of the Toronto Blue Jays and second baseman Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees (who have both had fantastic seasons) it does appear that the Al Mvp crown for 2012 is a straight shoot-out between two men – Miguel Cabrera and the wonderfully named Mike Trout.
