Idris Elba is teaming with Robb Stark himself actor Richard Madden for the new action thriller "Bastille Day" and today the first trailer has made its way online. "The Woman in Black" helmer James Watkins directs the project which was in development for several years.
Set in Paris with both actors playing Americans, the story has Madden as a pickpocket targeted by a CIA agent (Elba) who learns the thief is a pawn in a much larger conspiracy. Kelly Reilly, Charlotte Le Bon, and Jose Garcia also star in the film which has yet to score a U.S. release date, but will hit the U.K. on April 22nd.

At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, most of the big DC Comics announcements came through the film or TV side of things. No films, except for Batman v. India and Spain today signed an Audio visual Co-production Agreement seeking to improve cooperation between the two countries in the film sector. The Agreement was signed between Ambika Soni, Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Jose Garcia Margallo Y. Marfil, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Spain.
The agreement establishes a legal framework for relations regarding cooperation between the two countries in the audio visual field thereby facilitating the development of the audio visual industry. The framework for co production includes feature films, documentary and animation films.
An official statement from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting says, “The agreement provides opportunities for both the countries to pool their creative, artistic, technical, financial and marketing resources to co-produce films. The co-production would provide an opportunity to create and showcase ‘soft power’ of our Country. Ed Helms has signed on to headline Red Hour Films' remake of the 2010 French crime comedy Le Mac , Variety reports. The original film starred Jose Garcia in the dual roles of Chapelle and Ace le Mac. The former is an unadventurous banker and the latter his long-lost twin brother, who happens to be an infamous pimp and criminal mastermind. Chapelle winds up getting employed by the police to impersonate his brother and must take on the full identity of Le Mac. Up-and-commer Johnny Rosenthal will provide the Americanized screenplay which will, presumably, move forward with a different title.
