Hicham Benkirane

A fluent speaker in English, French and Arabic, Hicham Benkirane began his film career in the ICM mailroom upon graduating from Yale University with a Bachelor's Degree in History.
He is the founder and CEO of HBK F.C. The company produced its first feature, Good Thief, on a micro-budget at the height of the pandemic in 2020. That film was acquired and released by Gravitas Ventures and Myriad Pictures.
In 2022, HBK F.C. produced the French language Interstate, which was adapted from an English language script by Anthony Jaswinski (The Shallows). Directed by Jean Luc Herbulot (Saloum), the film stars Cesar nominee JoeyStarr and Asia Argento. That film was made in partnership with Canal+ and XYZ Films, and will be released theatrically in 2024.
More recently, HBK F.C. produced Murder City with director Michael Olmos (Filly Brown) based on the Black List script by Will Simmons. Produced along with Village Roadshow Pictures, the film stars Mike Colter, Stephanie Sigman and Antonio Fargas. TUBI released the film on its streaming platform this past summer.
In addition to its production activity, HBK F.C. continues to develop a robust slate of elevated, original content for adult audiences.
Prior to launching HBK F.C., Hicham held executive positions at various companies from comic book publisher Humanoids to VFX house BUF to Nigel Sinclair's White Horse Pictures.
