Into the Dark: Good Boy is a Blumhouse horror comedy directed by Tyler MacIntyre, starring Judy Greer. The ninth episode of the horror anthology series – Into the Dark.
A “terrifying” satire on Hulu about a not so adorable pooch.
Premise
Maggie is at a crux. She is fired from the job, undergoes hormone treatment to have her eggs extracted and frozen, is on the dating scene in search of Mr. Perfect, and while she awaits all the grand events in her life to happen, she recurs to mindfulness and to adopting a sweet emotional support pooch. The canine will not be as wonderful as she had expected, as she soon will realize. It will act out, channeling any anxiety she feels, and he will do so in horrifying ways.

Making its Netflix debut this Friday, Designated Survivor opened Season 3 with President Kirkman navigating a disastrous State of the Union with the help of a slightly revamped staff. Does the re-re-re-re-rejiggered political drama get your vote?
One month after announcing that he would be seeking a second term — as an Independent — Kirkman found himself dealing with the fallout of a Sotu in which he got a bit hot, after someone in the crowd crowed that he was “illegitimate.” Kirkman’s sharply voiced message was simply one about draining the swamp, but opponent Moss and the media turned it into a question of his composure.

When Dr. Neal Baer signed on as showrunner for Designated Survivor Season 3, there was an “executive order” of sorts from series star Kiefer Sutherland.
“Kiefer said, ‘Neal, just one thing: I do not want this to be any more like 24, where Kirkman, you know, saves the world from a tsunami,'” Baer shared during a visit to TVLine’s New York office. (For the uninitiated, that tsunami thing actually happened, in Season 2.)
Baer of course has estimable TV credits behind him, including ER (where during its heyday he served as an executive producer and writer) and Law & Order: Svu. So upon hearing Sutherland’s wish,...

President Kirkman “really screwed” up his State of the Union address to the nation — but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to throw in the towel on his first presidential campaign. Just yet, anyway.
In the 2-minute trailer for Season 3 of Netflix’s “Designated Survivor,” Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) has to face a political reality he’s never come across before: campaigning.
Per the streaming service: “What does it take to make a leader? What price will he be willing to pay? This season will explore today’s world of campaigning, smear tactics, debates, campaign finance and “fake news.” Democracy, as we know it, will hang in the balance.”
The high-stakes political thriller, which was picked up by Netflix last fall after being canceled at ABC, stars Sutherland as a low-level cabinet member who is suddenly catapulted to the position of President of the United States after a devastating terrorist...

There is a lot to process in the first full trailer for Season 3 of Designated Survivor, which hits Netflix on Friday, June 7.
For starters, you’ll see Tom Kirkman (played by Kiefer Sutherland) wonder if he has already screwed up his reelection campaign. You’ll also see who his pick for a running mate is… and the crisis that results. Hannah (Maggie Q) is offered a plum new gig with apparently very high stakes, and Seth (Kal Penn) unleashes quite a tirade about the state of journalism from the press room. In addition to Sutherland, Penn and Q, returning cast...

The line of succession has held. Netflix today set a June 7 premiere date for Season 3 of Designated Survivor, the D.C. drama starring Kiefer Sutherland that the streaming service picked up in September after ABC had canceled it.
Take a look above at a two-minute recap of the first two seasons, which also stream exclusively on Netflix.
The political thriller stars Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, a low-level Cabinet member who suddenly is catapulted to the position of President of the United States without preparation after a devastating terrorist attack strikes during the State of the Union, killing all those ahead of him in the presidential succession line.
During the first two seasons on the eOne-produced series, Kirkman faced the daunting task of having to rebuild the government and stabilize the country. He has paid a heavy price for becoming president in such a volatile way: his wife (Natascha McElhone) accidentally was killed,...

President Tom Kirkman’s re-election campaign will begin on Friday, June 7 when Season 3 of Designated Survivor is released by Netflix.
The premiere date reveal comes nearly eight months after the onetime ABC series was rescued by the streaming giant. Watch a new “catch-up” video above.
“Creatively, we’ve had a lot of behind-the-scenes churn on the show in terms of the number of showrunners involved,” then-abc entertainment chief Channing Dungey explained last May after axing the Kiefer Sutherland-led drama. “We were less confident with the creative path forward than the other shows we brought back.”
To recap: Amy B.

President Tom Kirkman got a big vote of confidence from Netflix, which rescued Designated Survivor Season 3.
Designated Survivor Season 3 heading to a pickup by Netflix!
Fans will be delighted to hear that Designated Survivor will live up to its title, thanks to a bit of real life Deus ex Machina, courtesy of a certain series-rescuing streaming giant. While ABC cancelled the Kiefer Sutherland vehicle after two seasons, the studio behind the series, eOne, immediately went into talks with Netflix – who already carried international streaming rights for the series – about picking up Designated Survivor Season 3; talks that ultimately proved successful.
Kiefer Sutherland and the cast will return to the series under the purview of a new showrunner in Neal Baer, an executive-producing veteran of shows such as Under the Dome, A Gifted Man, Law & Order: Svu and ER.
