News is coming in from Miami where the National Association of Television Program Executives' annual confab kicked off today: Debmar-Mercury is taking Raycom Media and ITV Studios America's weekend lifestyle newsmagazine America Now and turning it in a daily syndicated strip for a fall 2011 launch. Debmar-Mercury will distribute the show hosted by former Apprentice winner Bill Rancic in association with Bill Marcus' 30 Steps. America Now, which debuted as a weekly series in October, airs on 43 stations in all 36 Raycom Media markets representing 12.6% of the country, including Woio in Cleveland, Wbtv in Charlotte and Wxix in Cincinnati. Shine International has inked a development and production pact with Japanese entertainment conglomerate Yoshimoto Kogyo to develop, produce and distribute content for the Us, Japanese and international market.
