David Cohen is a British director, editor and multi-disciplinary filmmaker with experience crafting narrative fiction film and commercial video content.
Pursuing a love for fiction film, his short 'The Lost Sands' was a finalist for the 'Sci- Fi London 48hr Film Challenge'. 3 years later in 2018, 'The Dreamsy' won the competition and screened at further festivals. In 2019 David won 'That Film Festival' with 'The Dreamsy' and 'Fault Lines', for which the prize was a feature development opportunity.
David edited the feature documentary, 'Rebel Of The Keys' which screened at festivals and the TV edit was broadcast on Austrian channel ORF. He subsequently edited 'Rise of the Footsoldier Origins', which had a UK wide theatrical release in 2021 reaching top 10 in the box office and No. 1 of independent films, also reaching No. 4 on Amazon among all rentals. David then went on to edit the biggest instalment of the franchise to date, 'Rise Of the Footsoldier Vengeance', which received a 5 week exclusively theatrical release across major cinema chains in the UK including Odeon, Cineworld, Vue and Showcase, and was No.1 British Independent Film on UK and Ireland weekend box office.
