Such is the question posed by Scott Speer’s “Endless” — and hopefully, no one else ever — a teen-centric interrogation of the possibility of life after death. Riley (Alexandra Shipp) and Chris (Nicholas Hamilton) don’t make much sense on paper, but the recent high school graduates are deeply in love, a point driven home during the film’s voiceover-heavy opening sequence, in which Riley expounds on their differences (she loves art! he likes motorcycles!) that somehow make them stronger.
Soon, however, they are torn apart, though not in the way Georgetown-bound Riley expects. Riley’s parents don’t dig Chris, and his panache for hauling off their just-graduated high schooler to college parties thrown by their friends (also recently graduated!) isn’t helping matters.
Tragedy strikes, and Chris — a sweet boy, but one defined entirely by his choice of vehicular transportation and leather jacket to match — is killed in a terrible accident.

"This spirit - she is determined, very powerful, rage surrounding her." Vertical Entertainment has unveiled an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Isabelle, which premiered at the Busan Film Festival last year. Isabelle is the latest horror from Canadian filmmaker Rob Heydon, and is hitting VOD + a few theaters in late May. After moving into the perfect New England neighborhood, an all-American couple's dream of starting a family is shattered when they encounter an evil spirit that wants nothing more than to take their lives. Amanda Crew stars with Adam Brody, and a full cast including Zoë Belkin, Sheila McCarthy, Booth Savage, Michael Miranda, Dayo Ade, David Tompa, Zoe Doyle, and Shanice Banton. This looks like your standard paranormal horror with the usual terrifying scenes and a freaky red-eyed ghost girl. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Robert Heydon's Isabelle, direct from YouTube (via B-d): After...

Directed by Rob Heydon, suburban chiller Isabelle just about gets the job done, though it lacks focus and misses several opportunities to make its scares actually mean something.
Adam Brody (The O.C.) stars as Matt Kane, a successful, middle-class lawyer who moves into a spacious new house with his heavily pregnant wife Larissa (Silicon Valley‘s Amanda Crew). However, after meeting her creepy neighbour Ann (Sheila McCarthy), Larissa collapses and is rushed to hospital, where she loses the baby and spends a minute clinically dead while on the operating table.
When she returns home, Larissa begins seeing and hearing things in the house, including the sound of her baby crying. As Matt becomes increasingly concerned for his wife’s well-being, they become suspicious...

When men talk fondly about “the girl next door,” they never mean someone like Isabelle, who turns that all-American fantasy into a real nightmare for the sweet middle-class couple who move next door to a Satanic family in Rob Heydon’s run-of-the-mill chiller. Named after the creepy neighbors’ godforsaken daughter, “Isabelle” is curiously old-fashioned and not at all original enough to distinguish itself in American release. In the context of its world premiere at South Korea’s Busan Film Festival, however, this by-the-numbers midnight movie could work well for export to countries that put stock in ghosts and possession — a context in which the American cast and setting might actually serve as novelties.
Matt (Adam Scott) is a successful lawyer and doting husband whose new job brings him and pregnant wife Larissa (Amanda Crew) to Sarasota Springs. They are the kind of perfect-looking couple routinely depicted in real estate advertisements,...

Julianne Moore Can’t Stop Hitting Herself In Carrie Clip, Plus New Image Shows Infamous Shower Scene
Even with Carrie landing in theaters tomorrow, Screen Gems is inexplicably still managing to find new footage and images from the horror remake to splash across the internet. We’ve covered the Carrie publicity campaign pretty thoroughly so far, but there’s still time for one more clip, this one with the self-explanatory title, “Stop Hurting Yourself!”
In this small segment, the eponymous tragic hero (Chloë Grace Moretz) comes home to find her religious wackjob of a mother (Julianne Moore) punishing herself for some unseen offense by slamming her head into a wall. Horrified, Carrie runs to her mother’s side and has to scream to get her attention:
Though the clip is very short, clocking in at only sixteen seconds, it’s plain to see why Screen Gems thought to release it. In just a few seconds, Moretz’s facial expressions drag the viewer into her fear, uncertainty and anger.

Written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and directed by Peirce, Carrie follows a shy outcast (played by Moretz) who discovers she possesses telekinetic powers and gets pushed too far after falling victim to a cruel prom night prank that forces her to unleash hell on everyone around her:

See Chloe Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, director Kimberley Peirce and producer Kevin Mischer at the panel for Sony's Carrie at the 2012 New York Comic Con. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa adpats the script from the eerie Stephen KIng novel of the same title. The film opens March 15th, 2013 with a cast also including Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, Alex Russell, MaxTopplin, Cynthia Preston, Connor Price and Zoe Belkin. In Carrie, a sheltered high school girl unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after being pushed over the edge by her peers. This should be a solid horror considering Moretz's talent.
