Brody Jenner and new fiancée Kaitlynn Carter spent some time with old friends this weekend while celebrating their engagement.
Joining them Friday night at Roku Sunset in West Hollywood, California, were Jenner's former The Hills costars Spencer and Heidi Pratt.
Jenner, 32, most recently starring in Sex with Brody, proposed to Carter, 27, on May 4, while the two were vacationing in Bali – and he popped the question with a huge four prong solitaire oval diamond, set on a classic silver band, from jeweler Adam Campbell.

Newcastle United’s development of young players is almost as bad as John Carver’s ability to criticise himself and, despite the club stating that youth is an important part of their blueprint, it’s time to start showing some results.
The Magpies Under-21 side finished sixth in the Professional Development League (Division 2) last season – behind Arsenal and (with no disrespect intended) the likes of Middlesbrough, Derby County, West Bromwich Albion and Reading. Another failing season highlights the general lack of progression coming through the academy and is consistently piling on the pressure to find players from elsewhere in order to maintain a healthy squad depth.
Haris Vuckic, Gael Bigirimana and Adam Campbell (loaned out five times and now at Notts County) were all sent on loan last season rather than being integrated into the first team. Jak Alnwick won the ‘Wor Jackie Award’ for the...

With Newcastle United having just finished their tour of the United States, alongside rivals Sunderland who play Toronto Fc in their final fixture tonight, both sides may have noticed a slight change since their last visit.
Major League Soccer is more popular, but down below the surface, the development of young talent has been given a recent overhaul that Newcastle will have witnessed first hand this morning.
‘Timbers 2’ are one of a number of second teams currently plying their trade in the Usl. The American soccer pyramid is not connected in the same way the English one is, but officially it is classed as tier three.
A mixture of ages, nationalities and footballing backgrounds, teams including; La Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, New York Red Bulls and Toronto Fc have all adopted this model. The Galaxy have seen some of the earliest success with Bradford Jamieson IV making impact on the first team.

Newcastle United youngster Adam Campbell’s contract expires at the end of the season and it appears as if he is already preparing for life away from Tyneside after he lined up for West Bromwich Albion Under-21s in a friendly match.
Campbell, who scored an impressive four goals in five appearances while on loan at Gateshead earlier this campaign, played a trial match for the Baggies as he ran out for their 3-0 victory over Arsenal U-21s.
The 20-year-old provided an assist for strike partner Adil Nabi and seemed to play a decent role for West Brom as he stayed on the field for 60 minutes – heightening speculation that he could make a permanent move to the Midlands.

There will be much upheaval at St James’ Park this summer – fresh faces will arrive, including in all likelihood a new head coach, and many will also leave Tyneside. Some players will be sold, while others will not be offered new contracts.
With eight players’ deals set to expire in the summer, the Newcastle United hierarchy have some big decisions to make on the future of the club. Some deadwood needs to be shifted out, that is for certain, but others must be retained – even just as squad players – if the Magpies do retain their Premier League status and aim to rebuild and avoid a relegation battle again next season.
The list of players who have just weeks left on their contracts makes for interesting reading. Yes, there are the likes of Adam Campbell and Remie Streete who have barely ever featured for the Newcastle first team,...

After Gael Bigirimana was linked with a loan move to Yeovil Town – which the League One side apparently ruled out in the end – Alan Pardew has come out in the press to talk up the value of loans, since the club have enjoyed some success from them.
Such a blanket statement is wrong however, as Newcastle have only profited from the right loans, and simply sending out youth talents anywhere and hoping they come good is not the right move.
Yes, Newcastle profited from loan moves for Mehdi Abeid, Paul Dummett and Sammy Ameobi (to a lesser extent), and in the past have seen a good developmental move for Steven Taylor, but it is the circumstances of those loans that matter as much as the destination. Abeid went to Panathinaikos and profited from top level European training, Dummett won a Scottish cup (a confidence boost that...

Following on from revelations that Spanish striker Ayoze Perez was snapped up this summer despite interest from Porto, the player himself has spoken in the wake of his match-winning display against Spurs to add two more sizeable suitors to his list of admirers.
According to Perez – who signed for Newcastle from Tenerife after a break-out season that saw him judged the island’s greatest prospect for a long time – both Barcelona and Real Madrid were interested in giving him a big chance to step up, but he felt more loved by Newcastle. He signed this summer for just £1.6m, and had shown flashes of brilliance in brief cameos before an injury to Papiss Cisse pushed him up the pecking order and gave him an early start against Spurs.

Newcastle United have just announced their squad numbers for the coming season, and there are a couple of revelations that stick out from the updated list. First and foremost, Hatem Ben Arfa has lost his number 10 shirt to incoming attacking midfielder Siem De Jong, confirming not only that the player will likely take up a starting position behind a lone central striker, but also that Ben Arfa is probably on his way out.
It’s no great surprise that Ben Arfa has ben shifted down the pecking order – taking up Mathieu Debuchy’s vacant number 26 shirt – given the continued rumours that he is on the verge of being shifted out of the door, but it is somewhat strange that the player has been given a number at all. Precedent has suggested that such obviously unwanted players would be given no squad number at all – as Rob Lee...

With all of the excitement and furore surrounding the recent arrivals on Tyneside, Geordie fans are seemingly refusing to address the ten elephants in the room that still need putting down. Yes, Newcastle have badly needed to extend their squad depth this summer, but it’s important that the squad is made up of the right players, and not just the right number of players. During Newcastle’s alarming post-Christmas slide, as Pardew’s threadbare squad lurched from one miserable defeat to another, and the lack of quality throughout the squad was exposed for all to see. It wasn’t just that the available players were too sparse, it’s that some of the players entrusted with first team duties weren’t good enough.
So far, Dan Gosling has packed his bags for a side more accustomed to his limited talents in Bournemouth, and Shola Ameobi has...

It’s a busy old time at Newcastle United in the transfer market. Today should see the finalisation of deals for Daryl Janmaat as well as the €8m capture of Monaco’s young striker Emmanuel Riviere, and Mathieu Debuchy’s temporarily halted move to Arsenal should go through on the back of the confirmation of his Dutch replacement’s incoming deal, but the Magpies aren’t done yet.
Alan Pardew has made it patently clear that he wants two strikers to add to the limited options he currently has in crocked Papiss Cisse, and youngsters Ayoze Perez and Adam Campbell, and it seems he might be ready to turn his attention to a Premier League striker who has attracted significant interest in the past couple of seasons.

Despite French striker Loic Remy heading back to parent club Qpr after an impressive but episodic season on loan at Newcastle United, and strong rumours that he might be on his way to Arsenal, it looks like the Magpies might be back in for him.
Alan Pardew has already expressed his intent to bring the enthusiasm back to the St. James’ Park crowd, particularly by heading into the new season with a stronger squad than ended the 2013/14 season in such underwhelming fashion, and news that Remy is back on the table as an option will go down with the fans.
According to Mark Douglas at the Newcastle Chronicle, the Magpies are currently working on deals for five new signings, having already brought in Ayoze Perez, Jack Colback and Siem De Jong, and are ready to mount a fresh bid for the French striker who...

In the wake of Newcastle United’s spectacular defeat at the hands of local rivals Sunderland in the weekend’s North East derby, Magpies fans could have been forgiven for thinking the worst was behind them, with a line drawn in the sand following both the latest derby defeat and another transfer window in which no permanent signings were made. But regardless of how you feel about the agenda not to reinvest during this window – whether because of a lack of available, and affordable options, or otherwise – it might come as something of a shock, in the club’s current context, that they might be still listening to offers for players.
The latest player linked with a move away from St. James’ Park is misfiring Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse, who missed the game on Saturday with a back injury, who has apparently attracted the attentions of Turkish side Fenerbahce,...

It’s been a fairly eventful summer so far on Tyneside. Sadly for the Newcastle fans though this hasn’t been due to numerous quality first team additions coming through the door. With the vast majority of the fan base carrying over frustration from last season’s very poor showing, the elongated transfer sagas are doing nothing to improve moods.
Newcastle have been linked with an extraordinary amount of players this summer but the main protagonists seem to be Bafetimbi Gomis, Loic Remy and Darren Bent. (at the time of writing a loan move for Loic Remy to Newcastle has been confirmed).
The necessity for Newcastle to get a forward player through the door cannot be negated as there is so very little cover for Papiss Cisse. With Adam Campbell possibly heading to St Mirren on loan and Yoan Gouffran not considered an out and out forward by most, Shola...

Papiss Cisse won’t travel out with the Newcastle United squad for their pre-season friendly tour of Portugal after refusing to wear the club shirt sponsored by Wonga’s logo, according to BBC Sport.
The Senegal striker and devout Muslim has told club officials that he won’t wear clothing that would promote the controversial money-lending company for religious reasons.
Cisse has offered to wear a charity logo or unbranded Newcastle shirt but that has not yet been an option explored by Newcastle.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has confirmed his interest in Loic Remy and Darren Bent, saying “they are both on our list”, according to Team Talk.
Pardew wants to boost a strike force which was over-reliant last season on Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba, who left for Chelsea in January but still finished the season as the Magpies’ joint-highest goalscorer.
Bent is out of favour at Aston Villa while Remy is available following Queens Park Ranger’s relegation to the Championship.
Pardew memorably attempted to sign Remy in the January transfer window, only to be snubbed by the Frenchman, who opted instead to join Harry Redknapp’s side.
Pardew told the Northern Echo:
“Both of those players (Bent and Remy) are on our list. I make no bones about that.
“But they are under contract at other clubs. It’s difficult, you have to be careful. It’s nice for our fans to hear names,...

Benfica are one of the in-form teams left in the Europa League as they go into tonight’s quarter-final clash with Newcastle United at the Estadio Da Luz.
Jorge Jesus’s side haven’t lost a home game in Europe since December 2008, and are in free-scoring form. The Portuguse’ have hit 102 goals in total this term and Jesus faces the dilemma of either restoring Rodrigo to the starting line-up or rewarding Brazilian striker Lima with a starting berth following his weekend hat-trick against Rio Ave.
Argentina international Eduardo Salvio is out with a knee injury.
Newcastle could welcome back goalkeeper Tim Krul following the Dutchman’s seven-game spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Robert Zemeckis doesn’t want to play any more. Coming off of his acclaimed but low-scoring Denzel Washington feature Flight, Zemeckis has crossed another hotly anticipated film off his list: the remake of the Beatles animated feature Yellow Submarine.
Disney pulled the plug on Zemeckis’s proposed motion-capture version of Yellow Submarine awhile back, but there was still talk about Zemeckis shopping the film around to other companies. With a cast that was to include Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz and Adam Campbell as the voices of the Fab Four, the film should have started production in December 2011. Now, in an interview with Total Film (via Moviehole), Zemeckis has officially sunk the project:
“That would have been a great one to bring the Beatles back to life. But it’s probably better not to be remade – you’re always behind the 8-ball when do you a remake. It...

Group D of the Europe League comes down to a dead-rubber final game in southern France. The game is live on Espn.
Both Bordeaux and Newcastle have already qualified for the knock-out stages of the competition, the only variable that remains is who’ll top the group, and who’ll go through as runner up. Bordeaux only need a draw whereas United have to win.
Earlier on in the season, Newcastle dominated this fixture and St James’s Park and ran out comfortable 3-0 winners. The Magpies know that tonight’s match in the Stade Chaban Delmas will not nearly be as easy; the French side have a formidable home record in European football.
Newcastle United:

Last night was a real slog. Despite the current popularity of a fluid 4-2-3-1 formation, Newcastle and Stoke both came out with very old-fashioned line-ups. Stoke played 4-5-1 with Peter Crouch leading the line, whereas Newcastle continued to persist with 4-4-2, despite the formation bringing no joy in their last 3 Premier League encounters (when Big Sam is more tactically diverse than you, you know you’re in trouble)..Newcastle went ahead thanks to Asmir Begovic spilling Demba Ba’s effort into the path of Papiss Cisse shortly after half time but the Toon couldn’t hold on. Cameron Jerome’s arrival from the bench sparked a revival for the home team with the striker going on to create the equalizer and then score the winner.
Despite all Pardew’s talk of ‘hard-work’ and ‘unlucky’, this was yet another ghastly performance from the boys in black and white.

After the usual high emotions of derby weekend, Newcastle United line up for their second home match of this season’s Europa League group stage against Belgians Club Brugge, who currently sit top of their own league after starting the season with a bang.
Newcastle head into the game after picking up a well-deserved point at the Stadium of Light last weekend, despite playing for 65 minutes with 10 men. As expected, Alan Pardew has made a number of changes for the game, with a mix of first-teamers and fringe players brought in ahead of the game with the Belgians.
Brugge meanwhile come into the game having seen their unbeaten start to the season ended with aplomb by Oh Leuven at the weekend, thanks to a 4-1 defeat. In the shape of Colombian international forward Carlos Bacca they have a real threat: he has scored 12 club goals in 15 appearances already this season,...

A comfortable but unspectacular performance in the sweltering Greek heat saw Newcastle United pick up an away draw against Greek side Atromitos in the suburbs of Athens tonight. Alan Pardew will be happy with the result, and the way his largely second-string side coped with some spirited play by the Greeks, as Newcastle dominated possession for most of the game despite the closeness of the score-line.
The first twenty minutes saw the sides trading soft blows, the heat clearly playing a part in the tempo for the away team especially, and though they weren’t tested very strongly, frustrating play, particularly thanks to Gabriel Obertan’s lack of touch and inability to complete the simplest of passes.
The only threats from the Greeks came down their left hand side and German Dennis Epstein who got round the back of youngster James Tavernier all too easily twice. Both were snubbed out,...

Newcastle United’s first match in Europe takes place in Greece tonight as they take on Atromitos at the Peristeri Stadium. Kick-off time is at 6pm (UK) and 8pm (local) and the match is screening live on Premiere Sports in the UK (sky channel 428).
Alan Pardew has named his line-up for tonight’s game as the following;
Newcastle (4-2-3-1): Harper; Tavernier, Perch, Williamson (C), R Taylor; Bigirimana, Anita; Obertan, Gosling, Marveaux; Cisse
Subs: Harper, Santon, S Taylor, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Amalfitano and Campbell
The decision to start James Perch at the back likely means that Alan Pardew is confident of captain Fabricio Coloccini being fit for Saturday evening’s Premier League tie against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where Steven Taylor and Coloccini are likely to partner in defence.

Newcastle United take on Greek side Atromitos in the Europa League Fourth Qualifying Round tonight in the first of a two-legged fair with a place in the group stages at stake.

NBC‘s new comedy, Best Friends Forever, is coming your way April 4th (but you can watch the full pilot episode below), and stars/writers Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham were recently available to talk about the show.
It’s an interesting show that looks at what happens when two best friends are thrown back together when one of them faces divorce. Jessica finds it easy to move right back into the comfort zone when she returns to the apartment the two girls used to share, but Lennon’s live-in boyfriend, Joe might have something to say about the living situation.
It’s a fun, and somewhat frantic show, clearly developed and written by two people with a background in improv, and it tackles its comedy with an aim at reality. I’m not one to put forward an opinion on whether or not people really talk like this,...

The couple that primps together, stays together!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went to Adam Campbell at the Prive Salon in La to get their hair styled before the May 24 premiere of The Tree of Life and this is how they got their red carpet looks!
The couple wanted “something simple and non-fussy,” a source tells Us magazine.
To boost Angelina’s root volume, Adam blow dried her locks and applied Prive’s Root Amplifier to her hair. Then he curled her hair in one-inch sections and set her look with a hairspray.
Brad wore his hair in the usual sexy-messy style. To create the look, Adam used “a dollop of Prive’s Extended Texture clay, warmed by rubbing [his] palms together, and styled [Brad's hair] with his fingers.”

Late last year we ran a story that 3D director extrordinare, Bob Zemeckis was going to be remaking the Yellow Submarine into a full length feature film in 3D. Inspired by the music from The Beatles, this adventure now has its fab four cast for the pic.

Actor Peter Serafinowicz's versatile vocal skills have landed him another blockbuster role, 10 years after he voiced Star Wars baddie Darth Maul - he's been hired to play Sir Paul McCartney in a remake of Beatles movie Yellow Submarine.
The British comedian only got to utter a few lines in the Star Wars prequels, but his Hollywood career has since taken off, with roles in Run Fatboy Run and Couples Retreat.
And now Liverpool-native Serafinowicz has been recruited to Robert Zemeckis' forthcoming animated remake of the 1968 film.
John Lennon will be played by Dean Lennox Kelly, George Harrison by Cary Elwes and Ringo Starr by Adam Campbell.
The soundtrack will be performed by Beatles tribute band The Fab Four.

The 3D and motion capture work in Avatar may be the biggest cinematic talking points going right now but don't forget about Robert Zemeckis. He's been in the mocap and 3D trenches, and is moving forward with a remake of the animated Beatles film Yellow Submarine. The film will use mocap and CGI to recreate the hand-drawn animation of the original film, while a small collection of voices will stand in as the new Beatles. Meet the quartet after the break. THR reports on the new cast assembled by Zemeckis, and it's a mix of great and odd choices. Cary Elwes (George Harrison), Dean Lennox Kelly (John Lennon), Peter Serafinowicz (Paul McCartney)and Adam Campbell (Ringo Starr) are the quartet in talks to become the 'new' Beatles. Robert Zemeckis' upcoming film, a remake of Yellow Submarine, is starting to take shape. According to The Heat Vision Blog, Cary Elwes, Adam Campbell, Dean Lennox Kelly, and Peter Serafinowicz are currently in negotiations to star as the Fab Four. As for the music, Zemeckis will use actual Beatle tracks but have the Beatles tribute band the Fab Four perform the musical sequences. Source: The Heat Vision Blog...
