Tymeka "Meek " Coney likes to call herself an Entertainment Entrepreneur/Independent Producer
CEO of Meek Entertainment & PR which was derived from her nickname Meek and the scripture - Matthew 5:5 "Blessed Are The Meek For They Shall Inherit The Earth."
She is a Screenwriter, Playwright, Director, Producer, Casting Director, PR, Song Writer & Author. Although she wears many hats, her first love will always be Acting. Although she has written and directed several plays, "The Truth Musical Stage Play," was her Hollywood directorial debut.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Tymeka Coney graduated from DeSoto High School in DeSoto,Texas. She holds an Associate of Applied Arts degree from K.D. Studio Actors Conservatory in Dallas, Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/English-Dramatic Writing from Texas Tech University in Lubbock,Texas. While attending Texas Tech University, Tymeka was a DJ/On Air Radio Personality for 88.1 College radio station and KISS102.3 FM radio station.
Tymeka was also crowned "Miss Black and Gold and Most Talented" for penning an original monologue in a pageant honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Tymeka is the Executive Producer, Writer & Director of "Changing The Game," Independent Feature Film. She is currently developing 3 Feature Films, 3 Scripted TV Comedies and a slate of Non Scripted TV projects.
She resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she enjoys directing, casting, and writing poetry, songs, and comedy, as well as producing/writing television and feature film screenplays. She continues to inspire others through her writing/entertainment bringing awareness to social change as she has done as a playwright with several plays that have brought awareness to domestic violence, breast cancer, suicide, menopause etc. Tymeka realizes it is a part of her life's mission to continue to rally around important causes like racism and other social change and continue to use her platform for the greater good of all mankind and excel the lives of others spiritually, mentally and emotionally through Arts and Entertainment to make an impact in the lives of others throughout the world.
Tymeka enjoys performing, including spoken word, stand-up comedy, modeling, rapping, stage and screen acting, and recording lyrics in the studio, as well as coordinating events and public relations. In her spare time, she gives back to the community by tutoring students in English, teaching them how to read and write, and coaching acting.
