Anca Berlogea (aka Ana Boariu) is an awarded Romanian theatre and documentary film director, with a double PhD in theatre and theology, who managed to combine a journalistic and an artistic approach in researching and reviving stories of the Stalinist era, both in theatre and in documentary films. Starting her career just after the fall of communism, in a continuously evolving media environment, Anca Berlogea has also worked in television and in cinema production. Among her most notable collaborations are the Making of Callas Forever by Franco Zefirelli, produced for MediaPro Pictures in 2001, managing the locations for Radu Jude's Aferim!, awarded with the Silver Bear in Berlin, 2015, and being second assistant director for The Oak by Lucian Pintilie, 1992. In 2015, she directed a short-film, "Chestnuts&acorns", and starting 2022, she is a producer for TVR - The Romanian Public Television.
