There was very little that was memorable about the short-lived NBC series Outsourced. But Shawn Parikh managed to stand out in just fifteen seconds of screen time. His answer to the question, "Do you know what grits are?" made for instant YouTube gold. Not only was the clip a hit online, it also spawned a Facebook page called "Bring Back the Outsourced Grits Guy."
Parikh parlayed his popularity into a stint on ABC's Cougar Town - where he plays Sig, the college roommate of popular character Travis. He'll be featured in four upcoming episodes of the critically-acclaimed show, having already appeared briefly in the season 3 premiere. BuddyTV caught up with Parikh to talk about his experience on the much-beloved show, and whether or not the Cougar Town crew believes they'll be picked up for a fourth season. Also, Shawn drops a few hints about what's to come this season.

Why are Jules, Laurie and neighbor Tom huddled under a tree at night, dressed in black? You'll see when "Cougar Town" (finally) premieres on Valentine's Day.
We can tell you that they're on a secret mission, sparked by Grayson (Josh Hopkins) calling Jules (Courteney Cox) "predictable." We can also tell you there's toilet paper involved, and that Tom (Bob Clendenin) is more a part of the cul-de-sac crew in the show's third season -- although he's not really a full-fledged member of the group yet. Laurie (Busy Philipps), of course, is up for anything.
We can't really tell you, however, why Grayson is dressed as a police officer in this photo, since we don't want to spoil things.
And we mentioned there's a lot of toilet paper, right?
The Season 3 premiere also checks in on Travis (Dan Byrd), who's back at college and sharing a house with a bunch of guys,...

Office of the Dead
Directed by: Matthew Chung
Cast: Teddy Chen Culver, Christina July Kim, Shawn Parikh
Running Time: 1 hr, 12 min
Rating: R
Due Out: August 10, 2010
Plot: Life Corp has developed a method for electronically “rewriting” negative thoughts and sending them back into the brain as positive and affirming. Only there’s a minor glitch with the program: it turns its recipients into zombies. Now zombies are running amok in the Life Corp offices and Ben (Culver), Liz (Kim), and Raj (Parikh) have to make it out alive.
Who’S It For? It’s a vanity project for the people who made it. Not even really potent marijuana and a Lazy Susan of munchies can salvage it.
Overall
Office of the Dead was a great idea, but it failed miserably on two equally crucial fronts: 1) zombie movie and 2) corporate parody. It needed to pull off one of those...
