Briefly worked in advertising right out of college. Won 2 American Advertising Awards "Addys" for writing and graphic design.
Began doing stand up at the age of 18 while attending Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
His uncle Mike Joyce was briefly a stand up comedian and a clown with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Wrote numbers 2 and 7 on Comedy Central's list of The Top 10 Best Roast Jokes of All Time.

Studied art at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University. His work has been displayed at The Pittsburgh International Airport, and he designed a plaque to Roberto Clemente that hangs in PNC Park. He also designed the logo for Ameriserv Financial Bank.
