- Massimiliano Frani earned from a very young age a strong reputation as an exceptional and deeply inspiring artist. His worldwide performing career, interests and partnerships with artists such as Gene Harris, Bill Evans, Frederic Chopin and Nino Rota suggest the scope and intensity of Massimiliano Frani's musical world. Frani blends together the great classical tradition, film composition and jazz musicianship in a truly original and expressive language.
Hailed by critics for the depth and beauty of his interpretations, Massimiliano Frani has recorded with groups such as the American Piano Quartet, members of the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, and the Budapest Chamber Orchestra. Since 1994, Frani has been invited to judge at the World Federation of International Music Competitions. He has taught and participated in musical events at Brigham Young University, International Piano Academy Lake Como and Juilliard School of Music in New York, working together with some of the most celebrated pedagogues.
It was a short affiliation with Andie MacDowell, for a benefit concert, that "launched" Massimiliano Frani into the world of movie making.
