Jennifer Lopez admits that had she refused to step out of her comfort zone, she might not be dating Alex Rodriguez.
The power couple speaks withVanity Fair's Bethany McLean for the magazine's December issue, and recall how they came to connect after meeting 12 years earlier.
"It was just one of those things where you feel compelled to do something you wouldn’t normally do,” Lopez says, remembering when she spotted Rodriguez in Beverly Hills, California, when she was having lunch. "I could literally just have walked away, but I walk over and tap him on the shoulder and say ‘Hey.’"

It’s easy to take “Modern Family” for granted now.
That’s actually a tribute to how much the comedy has become engrained in the fabric of television comedy. Don’t forget, “Modern Family” broke new ground in 2009 with its depiction of a diverse, multi-generational family and its relatable stories of what it’s like to interact with your relatives in the 21st century.
And the show continues to experiment with special episodes. For the upcoming Season 9 opener, the entire episode will take place in Lake Tahoe, on a houseboat. The “Modern Family” cast is set to shoot the episode (inspired by family trips co-creator Steve Levitan took as a kid) later this month in Tahoe.
Among other recent memorable episodes, two years ago, “Connection Lost” was shot entirely via social networking platforms like FaceTime, and this past season, the episode “Five Minutes” focused on several story vignettes, shot in real time.

If you haven’t taken advantage of all that Hulu has to offer lately besides “The Handmaid’s Tale” – which everybody should really, really watch right now – then you’re missing out.
“The Handmaid’s Tale’ has been a groundbreaking series for the streaming service, thanks to its foreboding story about a near future in which a portion of the United States has been turned into a theocracy. This new world of Gilead subjugates women and makes the fertile ones become breeders for high-ranking officials. Moving performances by Elisabeth Moss, Samira Wiley, Yvonne Strahovski, O-t Fagbenle and Alexis Bledel have made this series a must-watch.
Not only does Hulu have strong original programming like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” but it is one of the best places to watch shows that are currently on TV now, which makes cord-cutting that much easier. It also has an impressive catalog of past shows that are well worth revisiting.

Marvel has announced the cast of its upcoming Hulu series The Runaways, and it includes six young actors I'm not familiar with at all. Below you'll find photos of each actor along with a description of the character that they'll be playing in the series. Before we get to that, here's a brief plot summary that they offered:
Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? “Marvel’s Runaways” is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe–their parents.
When talking about the cast that they've gathered together for this series, Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television, said:
"The fun and chemistry that this group of talented actors create is wonderful and we’re so excited to bring these beloved characters to life."
Runaways comic co-creator and series executive consultant Brian K.

Marvel has had an interesting run with their TV shows. While we had our doubts about how everything would turn out when it became clear that they’d have properties spread out across separate networks and streaming services, it all seems to be coming together. Rather than horde their franchises to the same safe, Disney-owned entity, they divvied up their properties based on demographic. The more general stuff would go on ABC, the adult stuff on Netflix, and the teen stuff would go on other services, like Hulu.
Their first foray into the more teen-centric space with Marvel’s Runaways. Don’t recognize the name? No worries. The I.P. has nowhere near the recognizability of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the like, but we’ve seen Marvel work wonders with relatively obscure characters and properties. At the end of the day, that red Marvel logo and overall execution...

Kristen Bell in Jenny Packham: It’s impossible not to stare at the actress’s perfectly spray-tanned cleavage in this black sequin gown. While the plunging square neckline packs some serious sex appeal, the design remains balanced thanks to the long-sleeves and flowing skirt. And if you think Bell’s glowing more than normal, that’s because she’s wearing more than 115 carats of diamonds courtesy of Harry Winston, including a pair of vintage 1963 three row diamond hoop earrings weighing in at 42.54-carats and a 68.57-carat bracelet. –Brittany Talarico, Senior Style Editor

[Guest authors Christopher Lombardo and Jeff Kirschner of Really Awful Movies take a look back at some of the most memorable slimy moments in the horror and sci-fi genres.] In Jean-Paul Sartre’s Being and Nothingness, the philosopher weighs in on the icky properties of slime: “…it sticks to me, it draws me, it sucks at me. Its mode of being is neither the reassuring inertia of the solid nor a dynamism…”
The author described “le visqueux” (viscosity) at length, and reportedly even stared at algae to experience the repulsive feelings associated with the title and theme of his dour novel Nausea.
When it comes to phobias, a fear of slime sits pretty low on the list. Who has even heard of blennophobia compared with more prevalent fears such as agora- or arachnophobia?
Perhaps because it’s one of those fears, like being scared of fire, that is so ubiquitous that it doesn’t really need a psychological condition or fancy verbiage attached to it. After all, it’s pretty rare to experience fire in your day-to-day life (as...

We all know the phrase "when it rains it pours." Well it looks like Alex's life is currently experiencing a torrential downpour.
On Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 2, Alex appeared in court to learn what charges he would face. Unfortunately, he was shocked to find out he would be charged with felony assault in the second degree. Needless to say his day didn't get any better after that.
Meanwhile, Meredith continued to lie to her sister, and Jackson tried to ease April's mind about Harriet.
When you've watched someone grow as a person, it's hard to see them fall so hard and so fast. Alex's sudden fall from grace is brutal to watch.
However, the situation is all the more complicated by the fact that Alex did do something incredibly stupid and wrong. It's easy enough for us as viewers to pick Alex's side. He's one of the original characters.

1 | Given Fuller House‘s superb job in recreating Full House‘s iconic kitchen and living room sets, were you a bit surprised to see they got the construction of Nicky and Alex’s room — which was on the wrong side of the attic, by the way — all wrong in Episode 2?

A few minutes into Monday’s Supergirl, Kara tells Cat, “Sometimes it’s easier to face the past with a little help.”
And, as most words of wisdom on the CBS drama tend to do, Kara’s statement ends up applying to both the A and B plots of the installment. In one corner, there’s Cat Grant, forced to confront (and potentially reconcile with) her estranged son, Adam Foster (played by Blake Jenner, Melissa Benoist’s former Glee co-star and real-life hubby). And in the other, there’s J’onn J’onzz, who is faced with the awful memories...

Bates Motel finally appears to be heading down the drain — so to speak — in Season 4.
RelatedBates Motel Exclusive: Cast, Showrunner Dissect Finale’s Psycho Cliffhanger
A&E on Sunday released a 30-second teaser for the upcoming run of episodes, which finds Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga’s characters literally staring down the barrel of a gun as they scream to each other in the dark. For an added creep factor, the whole ordeal is set to an unsettling cover of Diana Ross and the Supremes’ “Where Did Our Love Go?”
And let’s not overlook that last shot of a very familiar shower floor.

Though much attention has been focused on the extraordinary conversations about death Michelle Moon had with her terminally ill 5-year-old daughter Julianna Snow last year, each day it takes an equally extraordinary amount of efforts just to keep her alive. Jaime Ray Newman is taking up residency at Bates Motel.
The ubiquitous guest star (Veronica Mars, Drop Dead Diva, Grimm) will recur heavily in the A&E drama’s upcoming season, our sister site Deadline reports.
PhotosCancellation Jitters: 8 Shows in Danger
Newman’s character, Rebecca Hamilton, is a former love of Alex’s who still carries a torch for him.
The actress most recently played Allison in ABC’s Wicked City.
Earlier this year, A&E renewed the Psycho prequel for a fourth and fifth season. In August, executive producer Kerry Ehrin told TVLine that Season 4 will pick up immediately where Season 3 left off.

Ausiello: If the Season 6 scuttlebutt is to be believed, members of the Citizens for the Unification of Brittana can go ahead and start planning that victory parade. One word of caution: Apply for the necessary permits now. I had to cancel my annual Smurf parade last week because the permits didn’t arrive on time. Grouchy Smurf was not pleased.

Dining out can be dangerous.
So Frank (Tom Selleck) discovered after having dinner with Angelo Gallo (guest star Chazz Palminteri) -- a boyhood friend who happened to be a Mob lawyer -- in Friday's (Nov. 15) "Blue Bloods" episode "Justice Served," written by series co-executive producer Siobhan Byrne O'Connor. The men left the restaurant jovially, but right after Frank's car pulled away, the attorney was felled by two bullets to the back.
Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) was getting a taste of another side of the law by serving jury duty. Young defendant Deshawn Williams (J. Mallory-McCree) was on trial for the murder of a deli cashier, and when the jurors went into deliberation, only one held out for a "not guilty" verdict. Guess who?

Another viral video has invaded the Internet and I.m glad to say that the guys responsible for this one are well deserving of the recognition. Alex Charak, Dustin Drury, and Greg Murtha are Dr. Coolsex, the sketch comedy group from New York responsible for parodies including .Jon & Kate Plus Cops!!!,. .Frat Boys Love Borat. and most recently, .Mario Kart: The Movie.. The video, which was initially posted on August 23rd, has already amassed over 400,000 views. If Nintendo ever does decide to make a film based on the popular racing game, they should take a hint from the team at Dr. Coolsex because these guys hit the nail on the head. Check out .Mario Kart: The Movie. below and click here to see the Dr. Coolsex YouTube channel.

In The Spotlight – River City
When we last took a peek at BBC Scotland drama River City, gay graphic designer Scott Wallace had lost the child he cared about — not to mention the guy he cared about. Since that storyline wrapped up, Scott has pretty much disappeared; however, a few weeks ago, the show introduced an intriguing new gay character in the very nice form of construction worker Nathan Simpson, played by James Daffern.
When Nathan set up shop in River City, he immediately found himself attracted to bartender Rory Murdoch, played by out actor David Paisley. While Rory was flattered by Nathan’s attentions, Rory is straight … or so he says.
David Paisley (Rory) and James Daffern (Nathan)
When Rory arrived in River City for Christmas back in 2007, he found himself clashing with his father, Lenny, the local gangster in town. Rory has never been involved in his father...
