Claims his transition to Rastafarianism came after seeing Bob Marley
and The Wailers live during 1983.
Well known for his manic and hyperactive live performances, his stage
antics would often include back flips, climbing over amplifiers and
leaping into the audience.
He recorded the vocals for the song "Sacred Love", featured on the
album "I Against I", over the telephone from jail. This song was a
standout track on the hugely acclaimed album, which was released on SST
records in 1987.
According to "Turned On", the biography of Henry Rollins, by James
Parker, HR was a heroin addict in the very early stages of the band's
development and was encouraged to quit the drug to be in better
physical shape for the band.
