“Shazam” star Zachary Levi is set to headline rock-climbing action thriller “Free Fall” for XYZ Films, with acclaimed New Zealand stuntwoman and stunt coordinator Zoë Bell tapped to direct.
The film — written by Sean Finegan and Gregg Maxwell Parker — tells the story of a father’s attempt to reconcile with his estranged daughter on a rock-climbing trip that turns deadly as an accident leaves them stranded hundreds of feet in the air. Production is set to start later this year in New Zealand. Tom Hern and Nua Finau of Tavake are producing, with Navid McIlhargey and Erik Olsen executive producing alongside Finegan, Parker and Levi.
Bell began her career as a stunt performer on “Xena: Warrior Princess” and then alongside Quentin Tarantino as a stunt woman and coordinator over a decades-long relationship. She has worked on films such as “The Hateful Eight,” “Django Unchained,” “Kill Bill,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,...

Arrow season 6 has seen a major shake-up of the series’ status quo. With his duties already split between being mayor of Star City and a father to his son William, Oliver Queen passed the mantle of Green Arrow onto his old buddy John Diggle back in episode 2. It’s been a bumpy ride for him, though, as the former soldier has been struggling to deal with both adjusting to being Team Arrow’s new leader and coping with his Ptsd after the events of the season 5 finale.
In next week’s episode, titled “Thanksgiving,” the real Green Arrow will return when Oliver Queen is forced to don the hood once again. It’s not clear exactly what prompts him to step back into active vigilante duty, but it’s likely that it has something to do with the return of Black Siren, Laurel Lance’s evil doppelganger from Earth-2, who...

Last week, Arrow fans experienced quite the shocker at the end of “Tribute” when Oliver Queen passed the Green Arrow mantle to John Diggle. Basically, Ollie wants to assure that his son, William, has no fear of losing yet another parent. Thus, it only made sense to him that he hang up his bow.
So, even though Diggle has suited up in Oliver’s stead a few times in the past, that doesn’t mean this gargantuan shift didn’t come as any less of a surprise – especially when we’ve been told that this new status quo will remain in place for the time being.

Whether you love or hate it, “Olicity” is coming back to Arrow and it’s looking like it’s here to stay. Ever since the final few episodes of last year’s outing, Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak have been rekindling their romance after a couple of shaky seasons. Now, for the first time in a long while, we know that episode 3 of season 6, titled “Next of Kin,” will see the couple actually lock lips.
Ollie and Felicity’s growing affections were once one of the most popular elements of Arrow, but season 4 killed a lot of people’s goodwill for the couple due to an over reliance on soap opera-type relationship drama. Some fans might be worrying that things will be going down that road again, but thankfully, evidence suggests that the pair will have a much smoother romance this time around. With just hours to go until this season’s penultimate episode of Arrow graces our television screens, a new featurette has surfaced that provides a deeper look into the final phases of Prometheus’ deadly game.
In it, executive producer Wendy Mericle takes us on a guided tour of this particular installment and, without spoiling too much, lets us know that Adrian Chase has no intention of lying down now that he’s in Argus’s custody. In fact, he has contingencies in place, but would you expect anything less from a guy who always has his eyes on the prize?
As it turns out, his allies are picking off members of Team Arrow one by one, putting Oliver in a desperate situation. Sure, some fisticuffs may ensue, but we’re assuming most of that’ll be saved for next week’s season finale. In the meantime, it looks like Oliver...

Last night on Arrow, Prometheus decided to continue his multifaceted assault on Oliver Queen, this time dragging his foe’s father’s name through the mud. But after capably weathering the storm, our hero was finally able to score a victory over Adrian Chase, with the big bad now being in Argus lockup.
Still, nobody should be shocked that a big picture kind of guy like Chase had contingencies in place, and is now picking off members of Team Arrow one by one – with a little help, of course. Although the trailer keeps its cards a little close to its vest in that regard, we do see a disguised woman who may very well be Talia al Ghul taking part in the action.
As for Chase’s other “friends,” it comes as a surprise that Black Siren didn’t appear in the promo as she’d no doubt draw more than a few viewers.

Maybe it’s just me, but the hiatus we’re currently enduring when it comes to DC TV shows may very well be the most difficult to bear when you consider that the season finales are within reaching distance. Fortunately, we have a few nuggets of information to present while you pass the time, specifically the official descriptions for Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow’s returning episodes.
First, let’s talk Supergirl because it’ll be the first of the bunch to air. In this particular offering, iZombie’s Rahul Kohli drops by (hey, his show is based on a Vertigo comic, so he’s allowed to play somebody else), and pays a visit to his ex-girlfriend – Lena Luthor. If anything, the trailer embedded at the top hints that he’s not to be trusted, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Last week’s episode of Arrow concluded with Oliver Queen being saved by Talia al Ghul after he’d earned the wrath of the Bratva in season 5’s flashbacks. She now looks set to aid him in his mission to take down Constantin Kovar, though it’s important to note that it’s been mentioned in the present day that she must have played a role in training Prometheus.
That means Talia knows the villain’s identity, so chances are she’ll show up in Star City at some point. Considering the fact that Green Arrow is married to her sister Nyssa and killed her father, it’s hard to imagine that being a meeting which will go particularly well.

Well, that was…disappointing? Tonight’s episode of Arrow was by no means bad, but the reveal that the Laurel Lance who returned in the midseason premiere was actually Earth-2’s Black Siren was underwhelming, to say the least. Sure, the door was left open for her to find redemption, but it appears as if we can forget about seeing the Black Canary in The CW series.
Instead, Oliver Queen is going to hunt down someone else to take over the mantle, and that will seemingly be the woman we met in the episode’s final few minutes. We have no idea who she actually is, but she has powers very similar to Black Siren, a strange coincidence and a potentially hard pill for fans of Laurel to swallow if she does end up joining Team Arrow.

The CW has released a first look at what’s to come in next week’s episode of Arrow, and it definitely appears as if Oliver Queen is going to have his hands full trying to train his new recruits. They’re clearly diamonds in the rough, and with Green Arrow back to his killer ways, it’s easy to imagine things going wrong with this at some point.

The CW has released the first official images from the second episode of Arrow‘s fifth season and in them we get to see Oliver Queen training his new team. It was at the end of season 4 that the last group disbanded following the death of Black Canary, so now the vigilante has found a new group made up of characters like Mister Terrific and Wild Dog.
None of them look particularly happy about being taken down by their new boss, but if that recent trailer was any indication, Green Arrow has no intention of going easy on them.

With both The Flash and Arrow set to return in just under two weeks, it’s time to start looking beyond their respective season premieres. Fortunately, official synopses have been released pertaining to their second episodes that further detail what we can expect from these fan favorite superhero shows going forward.
We’ll start with The Flash, not only because it airs first but also because it’s somewhat charting the course for the rest of The CW’s DC-based shows with its “Flashpoint” premiere event. With its second episode, “Paradox,” it looks like Barry will have already set the timeline straight – for the most part. That doubly makes sense because continuing one show in an alternate timeline for too many consecutive episodes while others are progressing as they normally would could possibly disorient some viewers. Plus, it lets us become acquainted with the new status quo even sooner and...

Arrow has certainly been on a downward trend this season, but will it be able to recover as it heads into the final three episodes of the much criticized season four? I'm going to level with you: I've fallen pretty far behind on Arrow, and am now finding it pretty tough to get back into the show, especially when the Green Arrow has become a supporting character to one of the most irritating original creations in a comic book TV series since Smallville's Chloe Sullivan. Alas, it seems next week's instalment is also going to be all about Felicity (a great female character who is written horribly), so check out the promo and let us know your thoughts on tonight's episode below. When Colton Haynes made the surprise decision to leave Arrow last year, most of us assumed that that was the last we’d see of Roy Harper. After all, the character faked his death to protect the Green Arrow’s identity and there was talk of Haynes looking to pursue a movie career. Well, regardless of all of that, he’s back for an appearance in tonight’s episode of the hit series.
For a few additional details, here’s the official synopsis for the episode – titled “Unchained” – courtesy of The CW:

The CW has released the first official images from next Wednesday’s episode of Arrow, and by far the biggest reveal is the fact that Colton Haynes is back not just as Roy Harper, but as Arsenal, too. When we last saw him, the young hero had faked his death to protect the Green Arrow’s secret identity, passing on his bow to Thea Queen. There’s no sign of her here though, which does lead to a lot of interesting questions.

Arrow Season 4, Episode 7 “Brotherhood”
Written by Speed Weed & Keto Shimizu
Directed by James Bamford
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm Et on The CW
Arrow‘s desperately needed a “back to basics” episode in the light of all its extra curricular nonsense lately, which culminated in the messy, wildly disappointing “Lost Souls” last week. “Brotherhood”, thankfully, is just what the Doctor (the Darhktor?) ordered, hearkening back to earlier Arrow episodes, where a straightforward narrative offers an opportunity to actually spend some time with core characters, rather than see its priorities divided between its own stories, and the worlds of other shows. Bringing Andrew Diggle back to life initially seems like another unnecessary Arrow trick, but it ultimately provides a thoroughline to the show’s core values, a return to form this show’s desperately needed.
Those values, of course, center around the idea of family: and as Felicity and Ray uncover what...

That’s right, Andy Diggle is still alive. That’s despite the fact that Diggle was told that Deadshot assassinated him, and it looks like the recent revelation that he may not have been a very good guy also wasn’t true.
