Daniel Severa is an award-winning film and television producer and writer. He is known for The Devil's Mistress (Lida Baarova, 2016) and The Bitch Diary (Bestiary, 2007), as well as the series Marie Therese (2018), Captain Exner (2017-2018), Organized Crime Unit (Expozitura, 2011) and CSI Prague (Kriminalka Andel, 2010-12).
He has also produced the most successful Czech weekly TV variety, game and talk shows including You've Got Mail (Posta pro tebe, 2005-2021), Incognito (2006-2007) and The Crowd (Particka 2011-2015).
Daniel is a former kayak racer, seven-time champion of the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia, and European vice-champion. He is also the former Director of the Film Market at KVIFF - Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and the former Head of the Fiction Production Department at Nova TV network (a Warner Bros. company). In between, he also produced five successful stage plays, some of which are still running. Since 2014 he has been the president of AFTP - the Czech Association of Film and Television Producers.
