WeRiseUP, a transformational documentary feature and movement about people taking action together to solve small and big problems around the world, held a 2,000 student rally on Monday January 28th at Park City High School to kick off a week of community building and student voter engagement.
WeRiseUP
Park City High School students came together to celebrate the WeRiseUP movement and to amplify the work the students are doing to create positive change in their community. A highlight of the rally, the first stop on a nationwide tour, was a spectacular aerial art piece from renowned artist and activist John Quigley, featuring all 2,000 students joining forces to create a striking image in the spirit of “rising up” together to celebrate difference and honor diversity, as well as issue the WeRiseUp First Time Voter Challenge to high school students across America. The goal is to make 2020 the largest first-time voter turnout in Us election history.

A Chicken Soup For The Soul movie is in the works.
Alcon Entertainment recently acquired the feature rights to the inspirational book series, a collection of short motivational stories and essays.
Chicken Soup For The Soul will be produced by Jordan Kerner (The Smurfs) of the Kerner Entertainment Company, Alcon announced in a press release.
Alcon co-founders Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove are also slated to produce.
Johnson and Kosove referred to the book series as "synonymous with inspiration and life improvement and has touched hundreds of millions of readers through the power of storytelling".
"The Chicken Soup for the Soul series lends itself perfectly to a fictional narrative that will inspire, entertain and intrigue," they added.
Brandon Camp (Love Happens) has been tapped to write the screenplay.
Chicken Soup for the Soul comes from original creators Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen in 1993.

You can blame New Line for this. Back in 2009 the studio wrestled the self-help book He's Just Not That Into You into a relationship drama. That non-fiction, non-narrative-tome-into-fictional-story trajectory subsequently gave us Alcon's What To Expect When You're Expecting (from the pregnancy manual), and that same company now has big plans for the touchy-feely Chicken Soup For The Soul franchise. Brandon Camp (Love Happens) is the lucky recipient of the screenplay gig.The original Chicken Soup For The Soul first graced bookshelves in 1993, and was so named for its alleged warming and nourishing qualities. A collection of motivational essays and inspirational stories, it was compiled by self-help gurus Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. They did rather well out of it. It sold in its millions and sparked a series of juggernaut follow-ups and spin-offs, which included Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul (multiple volumes), Chicken Soup For The Mother's Soul,...
