- Everyone wants a happy ending. But over the years I've learned that some of the best poems don't rhyme, some cool melodies don't go together and many great stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, or end. That's life! (January 13, 2015)
- You aren't born good or bad. Maybe you're born with tendencies, or into an environment that tries to persuade you, but its the way you choose to live your life that ultimately defines you. Your tomorrow depends entirely on what you do with today.
- Let go of Fear! Lean into what terrifies you. If you weren't afraid, you wouldn't be alive. But what terrifies you is what's keeping you from living. For many, it's failure. Acknowledge it. Accept it. And push through it. And you'll realize it doesn't exist. It's just a projected shadow of your imagination. Fear can protect you but being terrified will paralyze you. You can't feel invincible and terrified at the same time. You must pick one. The choice is yours.
- Don't believe the saying, "You complete me." The truth is no other person can complete you.. but you can complete yourself. All you need is you. Look no further than yourself. You just need to believe it. Life is simple, it's just not easy. Have faith in you.
- I accept life unconditionally. Most people ask for happiness on condition. Happiness can only be felt if you don't set any condition. I have found that if you love life, life will love you back. (Apr 3, 2014)
- Comparing yourself is like consuming a green gallon of toxic poison - makes you feel like crap, poisons your view of yourself, and kills your spirit... Why? why are you doing this to yourself? It's an instant happiness stealer. It makes you work way harder than you need to, because doing it makes you feel like you never have enough, do enough, or are good enough, because there is always someone better.
- Artists Should Not Take Political Stances; I've been asked multiple times about my thoughts on the 2020 election, since I'm a political junkie, and quite a opinionated person (well I used to). Here's the thing, as an artist, keep in mind that you're also a brand you're presenting and selling to the masses. I've been in the game for a very long time. It's none of your business what an artist thinks, supports or believes in. Period. And again, that's why I totally support Kurt Russell (and others like Mark Wahlberg years ago etc). Artists are modern day jesters, nothing more nothing less, and need to know their place, which is to entertain and keep their mouth shut! In all honesty, they're just tools being used for political purposes (depends on which side you're on), just as the products they're promote in the commercials for a paycheck. We've seen it time and time again, no matter what god you worship, political party you support or point of view you might have, if there's an opposition, you're cancelled, not tolerated or ignored, straight up cancelled, it's that simple! Acceptance, tolerance and understanding is wishful thinking, long gone and dead. The debates are over. Let's not kid ourselves. I've put my religion and politics along with my bank account and sexuality in the same folder, privacy where it belongs!
Artists should use their platform and voice to do good, such as philanthropy, and charity. Be authentic, be honest, be real. Help the helpless, and feed the hungry if possible. Stay out of drama, and media, if you're not promoting anything. And try avoid prostituting yourself for a political party or an ideology. It's embarrassing. And damaging to your name, and brand as well.
