Jackie Guerrido is the little lady who has created a big sensation and helped change the perception of what a television Weather Man/Woman should be. Born on September 24, 1972 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Jackie grew up and attended school in San Juan. Her early years, up until the age of 7, were filled with painful memories. Her mother was mistreated and suffered abuse by her father. Jackie, her mother, and siblings escaped to a shelter called "Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos," a domestic violence shelter in San Juan when she was 7 years old. When Jackie graduated from high school, she and her mother and siblings moved to the Bronx section of New York City. Jackie decided she would like to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. In 1996 she went to an audition for the film based on slain Tejano superstar Selena. Thousands of young ladies turned out to audition for the role.
