On October 15, 2005 she became the first female above-knee amputee to complete the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.
Races as a semi-professional triathlete. She races and represents great sports companies like Nike, Oakley, and Cannondale. She has been racing at an elite level for more than 15 years - and continues to race and train full time in long-distance triathlons.
