Finding Nemo 2 will welcome back Marlin, voice by Albert Brooks. The actor has agreed to return for the sequel to the beloved Pixar classic and will join Ellen DeGeneres (Dory) as confirmed returning cast members. Alexander Gould who voiced Nemo in the first film is rumored to be replaced by child actor Preston Bailey. Andrew Stanton will helm the project which Disney is hoping will perform better than Stanton's last directorial effort, John Carter. Disney ended up taking a significant loss on that film and there were questions as to whether Disney would give Stanton another shot. No word on what the plot will be, other than the film's characters presumably having to find Nemo again, but it won't be a while until the sequel arrives in theaters in 2016. Which other...

Much as he did with Traffic, Soderbergh connects the dots of a global issue and makes it look like something authoritative and contemporary rather than a celebrity disaster movie. Here it's a viral pandemic, briskly tracked in forensic detail and techno-backed montages. When I was a kid, I always had “bummer” summers. I was happy to be out of school, but every day was melting, we rarely went anywhere or did anything, and we didn’t even have cable. I could empathize with Judy Moody, and on my quest to find movies that are wholesome for my youngest relatives, I decided to give it a try. Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer left me with a “m’eh” feeling.
The classroom scene in Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer seems to rely on the fact that the audience has some familiarity with the book series, as the “pop quiz” given refers to past books. I have no familiarity with the books because I was way too old for them when they came out, but it wasn’t a difficult part to get through if you didn’t know what the characters were talking about.

Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer is based off the children's series by Megan McDonald and they are extremely popular among young girls. Now Judy Moody is on screen in real-sized technicolor and she is winning over hearts everywhere.
If you aren't familiar with the book series, it's probably because you don't have a young girl in your house. But you're not alone. I hadn't read any of the books before seeing this film and it doesn't matter. It's fun, vibrant, energetic, and full of life.
Australian newcomer Jordana Beatty plays the spunky, fun-loving Judy Moody with great spirit and amazing energy. Sometimes a little too much energy! Doesn't she ever get tired?
The books mainly take place during school, but this feature film finds Judy out of the classroom and trying to have the best summer ever.
She soon learns that it might be a lot harder than she had originally planned.

A cute kids movie that is sure not to bummer their summer!
Judy Moody is on a quest for the perfect summer. To ensure that she and her friends have the best time ever, she invokes “thrill points” for every cool thing that they do. The only problem is two of her friends are leaving for the summer. Rocky is going to circus camp, and Amy is on a quest to Borneo. That leaves her with Frank, a less than cool kid with a streak of bad luck, and her brother Stink, who is on a quest to find Bigfoot. To make matters worse, her summer trip is cancelled and Judy has to stay at home with her Aunt Opal, who she barely knows. Now Judy is in a race with her friends to see who can have the most “not bummer summer”!
Jordana Beatty is fun as the character of Judy Moody.

Chicago – Films based on children’s book series can’t all be good. The law of averages eventually catches up to the literary moppets who turn their charms towards the big screen. Case in point, the below average “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.”
Rating: 2.0/5.0
The film is all sticky, cutesy poo (literally) that is as welcome this summer as a mosquito at a barbecue. Strangely cast in the film is Heather Graham, as free-spirited Aunt Opal, acting much as she did when she shed her clothing as Rollergirl in “Boogie Nights.” And the hyper-caffeinated Judy Moody is stuck in overdrive through Jordana Beatty’s performance, a child actor least likely to evolve to a post adolescent career.
Nine-year old Judy Moody (Beatty) is looking forward to the best summer ever. She fidgets through the last day of third grade, when teacher Mr. Todd (Jaleel White) establishes his yearly “Find Mr.

Get ready for potentially one of the darkest seasons of Dexter to date. The Dexter Season 5 trailer was unveiled at Comic Con revealing the ominous future of Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall). "It was me." These words reiterated throughout the trailer will give viewers a sense of what to expect in Season 5. This season won't be about one major Dexter villain. Season 5 takes off right after the events of the season 4 finale and Rita's (Julie Benz) untimely death. Expect Quinn (Desmond Harrington) to take over where Doakes left off in the ongoing investigation into Rita's death. Dexter will now take over custody of Astor (Christina Robinson) and Cody (Preston Bailey) so expect a lot of family drama on the home front. Dexter had ...

Overture Films has released another clip from Breck Eisner’s The Crazies, due out in theaters later this month. It’s a remake of a George Romero movie, but since it’s one of George’s lesser known ones, we're noticing the remake tag is somewhat more acceptable this time around. From all the clips they've sent us we've seen a lot, and if you check out our coverage daily you know we mean A Lot of clips, here's hoping we haven't seen to much...
