Overwatch 2 has undergone quite a bit of turbulence in the 18 months since its 2022 launch. The sequel to Blizzard’s wildly popular hero shooter was subject to mixed reviews and underwhelming fan reception, and the shelving of the promised PvE hero mode made matters worse.
There’s been a lot of doubt over the free-to-play shooter’s future, with more concerns over its monetization and extensive time investment for the battle pass. However, game director Aaron Keller has promised imminent changes, which will help alleviate the issues, albeit two years too late.
Overwatch 2‘s Heroes Are No Longer In The Battle Pass
After months upon months of fan criticism, heroes are finally out of Overwatch 2‘s battlepass.
Overwatch 2‘s hero system is getting reshuffled in a major way. In a recent interview with GameSpot, Keller confirmed they’re taking heroes out of the battle pass. This means players won’t have...

Remember when the internet leaked Overwatch 2’s upcoming flower-themed hero Lifeweaver? That should have been everyone’s first hint that the game’s next season is almost here.
On April 4, one day after PCGamesN published an article on the recently-leaked Lifeweaver, Blizzard officially announced Overwatch 2 Season 4. According to the trailer, the new season will land tomorrow, April 11, but the video doesn’t provide a more concrete window. For that, you need the Overwatch 2 website.
Overwatch’s Season 4 blog post states Overwatch 2: Season 4 will be released at 11 am Pdt/2 pm Est on April 11th. However, the update will require a beefy 38 additional Gb of space, which, for context, is more than vanilla Overwatch 2 required when it launched. Regardless of your internet speeds, you might want to start pre-downloading the update to start playing on the dot. Sadly, that feature is only available for the PC version of the game. Just open your Battle.

With the 2016 Summer Olympic Games set to begin in Rio this week, Blizzard Entertainment has decided to get in on the festivities. The Overwatch Summer Games update will debut new loot, as well as a new brawl, based around the global games.
Starting today, Overwatch players can unlock unique Loot Boxes that sport a special seasonal look. The cosmetic changes extend to more than just the boxes, though, as these collectibles will feature fresh cosmetic items. New emotes, skins, sprays and player icons are just a few of the prizes that can be acquired.
Summer Games collection items will be available in every Loot Box earned or purchased from now until August 22. If you’re even remotely interested in these items, though, you better start collecting them now. According to Overwatch Assistant Game Director Aaron Keller, these items will be headed into the vault after the 22nd.

When he arrived in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 2004, one of the first stories NBC26 reporter Aaron Keller was sent to cover was a party celebrating Steven Avery's exoneration. Keller went on to spend two years covering the investigation, arrest and prosecution of both Avery and his nephew, Brendan Dassey, for the murder of Teresa Halbach.
Not long after the trials wrapped up, Keller left journalism to pursue a law degree. He spoke to Rolling Stone recently about how the case inspired his decision, the guidance he got from Dean Strang and Jerry Buting,...

Making a Murderer viewers know Aaron Keller as the handsome reporter asking tough questions. (You might even call his "the face that launched a thousand thirsty tweets.") Keller began covering the case for NBC26 in Green Bay the day Teresa Halbach was reported missing in 2005.
He went on to get his law degree — inspired, he says, by Steven Avery's defense attorneys, Dean Strang and Jerry Buting — and become a university professor.
Keller hasn't watched the entire series yet, but years after the trial, he tells Rolling Stone he still...

In addition to the widespread attention the 10-part Making a Murderer documentary has brought to the cases of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, and the broader problems with America's criminal justice system, an interesting phenomenon has emerged: Several of the show's more tertiary characters have become mini-celebrities online. Women in particular seem to love Steven Avery's defense attorneys ("Dean Strang is the Coach Taylor of the Wisconsin legal community," one Twitter user writes; "If I had one of those lists of celebrities you're allowed to bone with impunity, I...

"Beauty and the Beast" seems to be going with a beast-of-the-week strategy in Season 2.
How many of these criminally inclined beasts will Vincent have to kill before he's free to return to Catherine? It's hard to say, but there is at least one fewer beast out there by the end of "Hot Head."
On top of this, Vincent's memories start coming back at an ever-faster pace. Find out how much of the old Vincent comes back in this recap.
Relaxing is hard work
One of the recurring themes throughout "Hot Head" is Catherine's need to relax and unwind a bit after months spent obsessed with bringing Vincent back. She can't even find her own clothes -- that's how disorganized and disinterested Cat has been lately.
But now, armed with the stressful knowledge that a) Vincent isn't the man/beast she loves anymore and b) her father wasn't really her father,...
