An economics graduate of Dartmouth College, he was on his way to
California to attend Stanford University School of Business when he
stopped in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA to play poker - he went into a game
of seven card stud with a stake of $4,000 USD and left with $60,000
USD. He became one of the best known tournament players, having won three World Series of Poker bracelets, and was eventually inducted into the
Poker Hall of Fame.
