Former President Donald Trump suggested that Prince Harry might be deported from the United States due to his history of drug use.
In February, Harry, when asked on Good Morning America if he would ever consider becoming an American citizen, said that he had “considered it.”
“I have my own family,” he stated. “As we all do. So, my family and my life in California are as it is. I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through or back to the U.K., so I’ll stop and see my family as much as I can.”
During an interview with the U.K.’s Daily Express, Trump declared that he “wouldn’t protect” the prince since he “betrayed the queen,” an action which the former president considered “unforgivable.”

It can’t have escaped you that Donald Trump is no big fan of the Sussexes, at the very least not since they opened their mouths to criticize the institution of the monarchy, crying “neglect” and “racism.”
So of course, he would be happy to send one particular Prince packing from the US. Trump doesn’t particularly care about the title, if Harry lied on his immigration papers, he wants him deported.
Prince Harry’s Admittance of Drug Use In Memoir “Spare” Could Dearly Cost Him
Writing in his 2023 memoir, Harry recounted using coke, weed, and magic mushrooms starting from when he was a teenager. In fact, according to “Spare,” he smoked a joint in the US as a husband and father-of-two.
As a result of this, a US conservative think-tank, The Heritage Foundation, had found it necessary to sue the US government to court.

Donald Trump‘s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was set to embark on a series of speaking events in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in July last year. Yet the tour has been plagued by continuous postponements, which has led to frustration among fans who await refunds.
The Down Under tour, which promised to draw large crowds, has faced numerous delays since its initial announcement. It was first rescheduled from July to September, then pushed back again to December and now lacks a confirmed date for the future.
The tour, originally advertised as a “landmark” event, featured former U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage and Liberal senator Alex Antic as special guests. General admission tickets for the event ranged from $59 for students or concession holders to $89 for the general public. A high-priced private dinner event, priced at $2500, included a pre-show dinner with Trump Jr., a champagne reception, and front-row seating.

Welcome to ElectionLine’s A View From Abroad series, in which we speak to media figures who don’t live in America, but keep a close eye on its politics. Every couple of weeks, these smart observers will provide a unique perspective on what promises to be a fraught and unpredictable campaign for the White House. This week, our interview is with Justin Webb, a BBC journalist who spent the best part of a decade reporting on North America. He is now one of the BBC’s top presenters and hosts the UK broadcaster’s Americast podcast.
Justin Webb is an old hand at covering U.S. elections, but he admits that the nature of the 2024 campaign feels alien. On his Americast podcast last week, the BBC presenter repeatedly returned to the idea of it being a “strange” presidential race. Broadcasting from Iowa, you could almost hear him craning his...

Nigel Farage has hit back at ITV programs boss Kevin Lygo for “rude, one-handed gestures” and “making life quite unpleasant for me” during his time on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
Farage, who came third over the weekend as the ITV juggernaut series concluded, used his Gb News show last night to issue a stern warning to Lygo, appearing to reference the executive mocking him during the ITV Palooza event late last month.
“It seems whilst I was in [I’m a Celebrity], one or two people up at the top of ITV were doing their best to make life quite unpleasant for me,” said Farage, who became the second controversial politician to enter the jungle in the past two years following Matt Hancock’s 2022 turn.

Nigel Farage failed in his quest to win I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last night as he finished third in the final of the ITV juggernaut, which saw viewing decline dramatically from last year’s closer.
Farage equalled former Health Secretary Matt Hancock’s finish last year, as ITV’s penchant for throwing controversial politicians into the jungle continued into 2023.
But the show lost a whopping 4M viewers from last year’s finale, tumbling to just 6.5M with a share of 42%, peaking with 7.5M. The show failed to even top the daily charts behind the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing results show. In 2022, 10.4M (54.2%) watched the final when footballer Jill Scott took home the crown. That ep peaked with 11.5M during a top-rated season. The launch of 2022 was also well up on 2023, by around 2M, although Gb News producer Ben Leo accidentally tweeted otherwise three weeks ago.

ITV’s annual reality TV juggernaut I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Is having a chequered 23rd season.
Before celebrity campmates even arrived in Australia to experience jungle life, there was criticism over ITV’s decision to pay controversial politician Nigel Farage a reported £1.5million ($1.9m) to participate.
Once everyone was in camp, it was clear Farage intended to use the primetime platform to push his personal agenda. “Never say never,” was his response to questions about his future political plans.
Meanwhile, two miserable contestants left the camp this week “on medical grounds” – Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of Britney, departed having spent much of her time on the show in tears and missing her children, and she was preceded by British food writer Grace Dent.
Now The Sun newspaper reports that ITV has had to issue an apology after the official social media account for the show...

Controversial British politician Nigel Farage was always going to create headlines with his arrival in the jungle for reality TV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! The surprise is that what’s created the furore isn’t the expression of his political views in camp, but the coverage of his on-screen nudity.
Farage arrived as the show’s most highly ever paid contestant – pocketing a cool £1.5million ($1.89m) for his participation.
Many viewers have boycotted this year as a result of his appearance. Farage, the leading figure of the Ukip political party, is firmly anti-immigration, and many on both sides of the country’s political divide believe Brexit wouldn’t have happened without him.
A week later, and despite a couple of semi-heated political discussions at the campfire, it is not this but the amount of flesh he has exposed that has caused uproar,...

The inclusion of right-wing firebrand politician Nigel Farage and Jamie Lynn Spears in this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! failed to spark gangbuster ratings for last night’s launch episode, although you wouldn’t think so reading Gb News producer Ben Leo’s X timeline.
Leo, who is in Australia covering the show featuring Gb News presenter Farage, tweeted this morning that the series opener had been watched by 9.1 million people and a peak of 10.3 million. The figure is in fact 7 million and 7.8 million respectively – I’m a Celeb’s lowest for several years. Leo appears to have been confusing last night’s ratings with 2022’s and hasn’t yet taken his tweet down, which led with “Farage Sparks Bombshell Ratings.”

Jamie Lynn Spears is one of the 10 contestants who will compete on the U.K. reality series “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here,” ITV announced on Monday.
The series strands its contestants in the Australian jungle for three weeks without any modern conveniences.
Spears, who was the second celeb eliminated from Season 32 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” said in the press release, “This is going to be terrifying.” She added, “I am absolutely frightened of everything” she might encounter in the jungle, including snakes and spiders.
The “Zoey 101″ star explained she lined up back-to-back reality shows because of the recently resolved actors’ strike. “I think it is so far out of my comfort zone and this year with SAG being on strike, I have said ‘yes’ to a lot of unscripted projects. I am really enjoying throwing myself into these experiences,” she said.

ReviewThere is a dreadful terror Nolan evokes that shifts beyond the cinematic to a prophetic revelation of a world-ending future.Do you recall this line in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins (2005)?: “Theatricality and deception are powerful agents.” There are any number of film directors who could whitewash a man who ought to have been tried for war crimes into a misunderstood genius. It takes someone like Nolan to completely convince you that you’d absolve such a man of your own volition. So superb is Oppenheimer’s cinematography. So subtle yet surgically precise is its sense of theatre. And so seamlessly does Cillian Murphy transform into the titular character – Robert J Oppenheimer, ‘the Father of the Atomic Bomb’ – as he came to be known. In Nolan’s preferred style of non-linear storytelling, Oppenheimer shifts back and forth between key events in the 1940s during and after World War 2. We...

News regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hasn’t been too positive lately. The duchess’s Archetypes Spotify podcast was not renewed for a second season and one of the streaming service’s executives publicly called the Sussexes “grifters,” then it was reported that Taylor Swift refused to appear on Archetypes even after Meghan sent her a handwritten note. Moreover, the luxury goods label Dior denied it was signing the prince’s wife to a deal with the fashion house.
It’s been reported that the couple has been trying to rebrand themselves and move away from the victim narrative and continuing to criticize Harry’s family. But whatever they plan on doing for their rebrand they need to do it quickly according to a royal commentator because “their empire is crumbling fast.”

Trump agreed with Farage that the Queen was “the most popular...

The chilly relationship between sisters-in-law Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle is nowhere near thawing.
That’s the takeaway from a new interview with royal expert Tom Bower, a former BBC journalist who spoke with Britain’s Gbn about the recent news that the Duchess of Sussex won’t be accompanying husband Prince Harry to the coronation of King Charles III.
“We must all be grateful that Kate, in the end I think, prevented Meghan from coming and said she wouldn’t have her there under any circumstances, and if she did come, she’d have to sit at the back,” Bower told Gbn host (and former Brexit mastermind) Nigel Farage.

With King Charles III’s coronation fast approaching, there are rumblings that Camilla Parker Bowles might be in line for a major title change. Camilla currently holds the title of queen consort, but there are reports that she is considering tweaking the title in her favor.
Following the coronation in May, sources claim that Camilla wants to drop the consort part of her title, a move that would go completely against Queen Elizabeth II’s “sincere” wishes.
Camilla Parker Bowles | Finnbarr Webster – Wpa Pool/Getty Images Camilla Parker Bowles will reportedly drop consort and be named queen instead
The title of queen consort has long been associated with the wife of a reigning king. As part of this tradition, the queen consort is typically crowned and anointed at the coronation ceremony, symbolizing her role as a partner to the monarch.
Camilla is fully expected to fulfill this historic role at the coronation.

When it was announced yesterday that Frankie Boyle’s BBC series New World Order had been cancelled, the comedian’s reaction was frank but restrained. “Not surprising in the current climate, I suppose,” he told fans on Twitter, many of whom had followed his superb topical panel show devotedly for the five years it was on the air. Boyle didn’t elaborate on what he meant by the words “current climate”, but it doesn’t take too many imaginative leaps to hazard a guess. New World Order was one of the few shows on TV that was sincerely and unapologetically left-wing. And politically speaking, the BBC is in the midst of a full-fledged climate crisis.
It’s not good for optics that New World Order’s cancellation comes just weeks after the BBC was embroiled in an impartiality row with Match of the Day host Gary Lineker. The dispute – prompted...

Populist Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg is getting his own TV show... on populist channel Gb News.
On Thursday (26 January), the right-wing broadcaster announced that the Tory MP for North East Somerset is set to host his own current affairs programme.
He joins presenters including Nigel Farage and Eammon Holmes on the fledgling channel, which was launched back in June 2021.
The programme will see Rees-Mogg, a backbench politician known for his eccentric anachronisms and far-right views, discuss topical issues and interview guests.
The channel’s editorial director Mick Booker said in a statement: “Jacob is an authentic and authoritative voice of the Tory backbenches with his trademark common sense, refreshing directness, and an impish sense of fun. He’s a terrific addition to the Gb News family.”
He added: “The programme will embrace a range of guests and viewpoints from all sides of politics but will also explore some of Jacob’s other wide-ranging interests.

The BBC has stoked controversy after giving a virtually unchallenged platform to a Covid jab critic on its rolling news channel.
The UK broadcaster interviewed Dr Aseem Malhotra about a cholesterol medication story on Friday morning, but the vaccine sceptic hijacked the conversation to fan conspiracies about Covid shots.
The exchange is going viral in anti-vax circles on social media. The BBC said it was later rebutted on-air by a leading professor, who represented the “overwhelming scientific consensus on the vaccine.”
Malhotra told BBC presenter Lukwesa Burak that his research had shown that coronavirus vaccines “carry a cardiovascular risk.” He said they had contributed to 30,000 excess deaths involving heart disease in the UK since the pandemic began.
“That’s been proven medically, has it?” Burak asked.
Malhotra replied that there is “lots of data” to support his claim. “The vaccine has certainly helped people who are high risk, but now...

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary has drawn a direct link between Britain’s decision to leave the EU and alleged racism experienced by the Duchess of Sussex.
Co-produced by the couple’s Archewell Productions, the second episode wades into the Brexit debate, which remains a divisive topic in the UK six years after the 2016 vote.
It is highly unusual for British royals to broach politically sensitive issues in public, but Prince Harry and Markle have been more vocal since leaving the family and relocating to America.
Harry & Meghan preludes a section about Brexit by showing a young girl telling a CNN journalist that she hopes Markle’s relationship with Prince Harry, which began just weeks after the EU referendum, will help temper racism in the UK.
David Olusoga, the renowned British historian and diversity campaigner, later remarks: “This fairy tale is embedding itself in a nation that...

It’s back then, and it’s probably just as well. Such is the comforting power of The Great British Bake Off (Channel 4); it seems unthinkable it would have been cancelled or postponed merely because the Queen had passed on. Indeed, that very fact, and the emotional trauma it has inflicted on a nation and a Commonwealth of about 2.5 billion people, makes it imperative that judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood and their sweetly charming contestants get the mixing bowl out to salve the collective hurt.

No one ever asks aloud how much the gas bill will be for making 168 cakes, or remarks on how much the price of flour and raisins has gone up lately.

Warner Bros. Discovery has exited its shareholding in fledgling UK news channel Gb News.
A statement in the past few minutes from David Zaslav’s conglomerate said that, following the merger of Warner Bros and Discovery, the company had “evaluated our global and local investment portfolio” and is no longer a Gb News shareholder.
The company already operate the likes of CNN Worldwide, Poland’s Tvn Group and New Zealand’s Newshub.
The statement added: “Discovery was one of the first organisations to invest in Gb News, doing so prior to the creation of Warner Bros. Discovery. Gb News has built a growing and loyal audience in its first year, bringing another voice to British news broadcasting, and we wish the management and shareholders the very best in their future endeavours.”
The channel launched last year with £60M (72M) of Discovery backing but has been beset with technical, audience and political problems.

A strange trend is taking place on British television: Opinionated American-style television channels have appeared for the very first time.
Both generally right-leaning in agenda, if you watch Gb News on any given night, you’ll see regular features about so-called “cancel culture” and “wokeism,” as well as a show hosted by the former populist Ukip leader Nigel Farage. Watch “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on TalkTV on any given night and you’ll see rather surreal opening titles consisting of a brain farting out the words “snowflake society,” followed by Fox News-style swooping sound effects and a monologue where Morgan tries to “cancel the cancel culture.”
So why is it all so strange? Well, despite heavy publicity, these shows and channels don’t appear to be resonating with U.K. audiences. “Piers Morgan Uncensored” has consistently shed viewers, from 317,000 overnight viewers on launch day, to less than 60,000 just over two weeks later.

Andrew Neil has compared Gb News to a “Ukip tribute band” and said the Discovery-backed news channel, which he split from acrimoniously over the summer, may “fall into irrelevance and obscurity” if it doesn’t sort production values and ratings.
Neil said he doesn’t want the news channel to be the “full stop on my career” as he hinted at a return to TV news but denied he will take a presenting role on Rupert Murdoch’s forthcoming Talk TV, which is set to feature Piers Morgan as lead host.
Speaking candidly at Freeview’s Outside the Box event on the news channel he fronted and helped found earlier this year, Neil said the “shambles of the launch” will haunt Gb News for months, having lost many of its founding editors and presenters swiftly.

The international news media today is utterly fixated on the U.S. presidential election that was still undecided as Tuesday night spilled into Wednesday. Throughout the morning, coverage blanketed cable TV, online and print outlets. Politicians in the UK, Germany, France and Russia have also begun to weigh in from both sides on the hotly-contested race.
The cable news nets in France and the UK are focused on the situation while the online editions of newspapers around the globe are leading with Donald Trump’s false claim that he has already won — and the response from Joe Biden’s camp. Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party is on course to triumph in a defining British election, according to a dramatic exit poll.
The poll, commissioned by the BBC, ITV and Sky News, predicts that Johnson will secure a majority of 368 seats in the UK Houses of Parliament, with Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party way behind on 191. That would give the Conservatives a majority of 86 seats — its biggest victory since Margaret Thatcher in 1987.
If the poll turns out to be correct, it would represent a thumping victory for Johnson, handing him a major mandate to get a Brexit deal done on his terms, strike a trade agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump and implement his policies on issues including the National Health Service.
In contrast, the result would be a disaster for Labour. It could be the biggest fall in the party’s vote share in history and its worst result since 1935.

Given his skill at manipulating the press, it’s totally understandable why Steve Bannon would agree to or even embrace being the subject of not just one but multiple documentaries. But where Errol Morris’ 2018 film “American Dharma” aimed to interrogate and deconstruct Bannon’s poisonous philosophies head on, “The Brink” embeds filmmaker Alison Klayman (“Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry”) in his daily life for months on end, observing his methods, and eventually, exposing the efficacy of tactics that have rhetorical foundations built on quicksand.
Following Bannon as he drifts both politically and professionally from the good graces of “reputable” Republicans while positing himself as a proponent and prognosticator of their increasingly divisive values, Klayman’s film showcases the qualities that make Stephen Bannon such an effective political strategist even as it suggests that its success is as likely to eat his own future alive as the future of democracy itself.

Brexit, the HBO docudrama premiering tomorrow about Britain’s 2016 vote to leave the European Union, arrives at an unexpectedly timely moment. In the last few days, the tumult that decision unlocked has spiked: British Parliament rejected Prime Minister Theresa May’s muddled plan for a March exit, May barely survived a...

Does Benedict Cumberbatch even sleep?
The Sherlock star can currently be seen on both the big screen – in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War – and the small one – in Showtime’s Patrick Melrose – and he’s got more projects lined up later this year, too, like animated movie The Grinch and cold war drama Ironbark. But apparently that’s not enough for Cumberbatch, as he’s now signed up to lead a one-off TV drama based on the real-life Brexit saga.
Channel 4 will air Brexit (working title), which is being described as a “political thriller” that follows the lead-up to the UK’s decision to leave the European Union, as voted for by a slight majority in the controversial 2016 referendum. In particular, it’ll focus on the winning Vote Leave campaign, which managed to persuade most people to go against the institution that the country had been a part of for forty years.

The UK’s exit from the European Union – dubbed “Brexit” – has been chosen by Hollywood bosses as the perfect premise for a prestigious new TV show, with a budget of $60 million currently attached. The series will be based around British politician Nigel Farage, a hugely controversial figure who came to prominence during the Brexit referendum as one of the biggest proponents of the “Leave” vote.
Currently, both Benedict Cumberbatch and Kevin Spacey are being tipped to play Farage in the six-part series. Each of them have experience in this sort of role, too. I don't know what you took from Dunkirk - for me it was the sumptuous shot composition and staggering practical effects - but for Nigel Farage it was a patriotic, saluting-waving-flag thing.

Where some see disaster, others see victory … No, not the fraught events of 1940 as depicted in Christopher Nolan’s war epic, but the right’s battle against Europe. Has cinema become a willing ally?
You can’t blame Christopher Nolan for Brexit. The director was halfway through making Dunkirk, his new war epic, when the EU referendum took place last June. But if the leave campaign had wanted to make a rousing propaganda movie to stir the nation, it couldn’t have picked a better subject matter. Dunkirk has got it all: Britain standing alone against the world, our manufacturing superiority prevailing, the nation coming together – all in a literal effort to get out of Europe. If he had got the film together a little earlier, perhaps Nigel Farage wouldn’t have needed to cite Independence Day in his morning-after victory speech.
The Dunkirk analogy has already been trotted out by leave campaigners,...

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is now investigating whether Donald Trump attempted to obstruct justice, the Washington Post reported Wednesday. The move, which marks an expansion of Mueller’s ongoing probe into whether Russia meddling in the 2016 presidential race, comes just two days after one of Trump’s friends suggested the President was considering dismissing Mueller. The Post reports that investigators have also been looking into some of Trump’s associates for any evidence of possible financial crimes. It's 20 years since the Spice Girls headed to the big screen for their solo movie. And we've taken a look back...
I don’t think Spice World: The Movie is as good as Inception.
This winter marks the 20th birthday of a film that many had sneered at before its release, and many continue to sneer at now. Boasting a hard-won 3.4/10 score on IMDb, Spice World: The Movie pops up from time to time in lists slamming films involving pop stars, or, if it’s lucky, it appears on the ‘guilty pleasure’ carousel. For added fun, the late Roger Ebert had it as one of the films that he most hated. Yikes.
I don’t believe in guilty pleasures, personally, and have written about that before. Nor do I agree with Roger. For I do enjoy Spice World: The Movie for what it is: a daft, breezy,...

President Donald Trump has an unlikely friend in former Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten.
Asked about the president in an interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Monday, the punk icon said he saw similarities between himself and the president, some of whose supporters view him as an anti-establishment figure.
“One journalist once said to me, ‘Is he the political Sex Pistol?’ In a way,” said Rotten, 61, whose real name is John Lydon.
The singer admitted Trump was a “complicated fellow” but slammed the “left-wing media” for branding him a racist.

On Dec. 31, just at Brits were preparing to wave goodbye to a year some would rather forget, a rumor emerged that the story of the U.K. vote in June to leave the European Union and the man seen as the face of the so-called "Brexit" campaign, Nigel Farage, were to be given the movie treatment.
According to reports, studios, including Warner Bros., were eyeing The Bad Boys of Brexit, the diary of insurance millionaire Arron Banks, who had sunk some £8 million ($9.8 million) into the Leave.EU organization spearheaded by Farage. Chronicling the "anti-establishment crusade" of Banks' "madcap campaign" and...
