Sigrid Sutter is a second-generation American actress from Los Angeles, CA. Known for playing complex women, critics have called her work: "quite moving," "has the chops," (Chicago Tribune) "a powerful performance" (Chicago Sun-Times), "superb" (rogerebert.com), and "Sutter grounds her character, and the play, in ragged emotion" (Star Tribune). Career highlights include: Mistress in Martin Crimp's translation of Genet's 'The Maids,' Ophelia in James Edmondson's production of 'Hamlet', and developing a solo show under the direction of André De Shields. Other favorite roles are Connie in '3C' by David Adjmi, Catherine in 'Proof' by David Auburn, and Dawn Brancheau in 'Tilikum' by Kristiana Rae-Colon. She has taught acting and voice at DePaul University and Marymount Manhattan College. Sigrid makes her home in New York City.
