Morbid Angel, Revocation, and Skeletal Remains have shared GoFundMe pages for victims of the tragic roof collapse at the Apollo Theater on Friday (March 31st) in Belvidere, Illinois.
Fifty-year-old Fred Livingston Jr. died and 48 others were injured when a tornado ripped through the area on Friday night, shortly after opening act Crypta had just played their set at the Apollo had began. A tornado warning was in place when the roof of the venue collapsed on those inside while sending the marquee and facade crashing to the ground in front of the venue.
Morbid Angel shared a GoFundMe for Livingston Jr. and a short statement on Facebook: “We want to personally send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of our deceased brother in Metal, Fred Livingston Jr. Anyone who wants to help or show support to the family may do so below.”

While cheering on husband Andy Roddick at the Brisbane International Tennis Tournament, model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker spoke with Clint Morris at Moviehole about her role in the forthcoming adaptation of the popular Hasbro game 'Battleship'.
Decker had high praise for the film's director Peter Berg.
“He was amazing," Decker, who plays 'Sam' in the big budget film, said. "We agreed on nearly everything. It’s great when you’re on the same page. He is great—and he’s especially great with new actors. He loves it that there’s no ego to protect and we’re all just in there having fun and working together.”
Liam Neeson, who plays Decker’s father in the movie, agreed with the actress' sentiments about Berg, expressing to Decker: "Pete’s one of the better directors I’ve worked with because he gives you direction but he also allows you to be...

Sometime when you write a story, one of your sources cares to comment on it. Such was the case today when Clint Morris, creator of Moviehole, talked about a recent Financial Times news report about the sad state of affairs MGM finds itself in. The Times piece is quite good at explaining the extent of the financial hole MGM finds itself in, and why it's not as simple as you might think to find the money to make a new James Bond movie (which is the studio's best gamble to make if it wants to make some new green.)
About 30 paragraphs down in the Times piece is a throwaway mention that Darren Aronofsky has walked away from making the planned remake of RoboCop. That's the part of the story where we return to Morris and his Moviehole news story, and the source that spoke to him about the project. The...

Nathan Fillion won't grant zombies any serenity.
Patrick Lussier, director of such American treasures as My Bloody Valentine 3D and the upcoming Drive Angry 3D, has another, zombie-related project in the works, Condition Dead - you guessed it - 3D. The movie concerns a group that protects the country against a zombie outbreak. Lussier spoke to Moviehole (convenient since the site's Clint Morris is producing the movie) and discussed how the project came about.
Clint Morris sent me the script and I really liked the script, especially the beginning part, and we worked with Dave [Davis] to do another draft of the story and make to it even more aggressive than what he'd done - he'd written the beginning to be huge and then it got quite small and contained in the middle and we were like, 'No, No, if we're going to do it we might as well pull out all the stops!

Moviehole talked to Drive Angry 3D director Patrick Lussier this past weekend who discussed another of his upcoming projects, Condition Dead, suggesting theyre talking about Nathan Fillion (SLiTHER) for one of the roles in it. This would be Fillions third time working with Lussier they previously collaborated on Dracula 2000 and White Noise 2. Condition Dead was written by ex-chud/now Joblo writer Dave Davis, and is produced by Clint Morris (from Moviehole) and Joel Soission (Pulse). Tyrese Gibson, initially onboard as a producer, is no longer involved. The script fixes on an elite team of government-subsidized zombie-hunters who are mysteriously ambushed by a viscous new breed of zombie.

Rumors have been circulating for awhile that Chris Nolan’s little bro and writer extraordinaire is a still the man set to helm the reboot of Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment’s Superman. Jonah Nolan is a prolific, acclaimed writer behind the camera but now with his brother Chris Nolan’s recent godfather role for Superman, its seems he may want to keep directorial duties in the family.
Moviehole claim that their source has confirmed that Jonathan Nolan is indeed close to signing on to direct Man Of Steel, but that the actor they have in mind is not Chuck’s Zach Levi as previously rumored.
Clint Morris over at Moviehole has spent a bit of time trying to verify the rumors ran by Geektyrant about Christopher Nolan’s bro Jonathan helming the upcoming Superman project.

There's no doubt the television show "Twin Peaks" spawned a huge and faithful fanbase during its initial run many moons ago, and just like with any classic show it continues to grow even now -- over a decade since we found out who killed Laura Palmer.

"It's a funny thing... I think if we could figure out a way to do it, I think everybody would have fun going back," Engels tells the site. "You just don't want to do Return to Mayberry. It'd be a miracle to get the whole group back together again, but I think, all things being equal, they'd say ‘I'm in'. I certainly would. April Fools' Day is the one day of the calendar year on which you should probably avoid the internet — well, don't avoid Splash Page, but avoid everywhere else!
If you happen to stumble upon news today that Brandon Routh is playing Cyclops in "X-Men: First Class" or Robert Rodriguez is directing DC Entertainment's "Wonder Woman" adaptation, just remember what time of the year it is. In all likelihood, these scoops are bogus.
After the jump, we've rounded up a few of the hilarious and heartbreaking comic book and geek-related April Fool's pranks already making the rounds today.
Avatar Vs. Avatar: Bleeding Cool is "reporting" that comic book publisher Avatar Press will sue James Cameron, 20th Century Fox and others over "the use and abuse of their trademarked name Avatar in the recent blockbuster movie of the same name."

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, had a very shiny…too soon? With the holiday season barely past, and the constant reminder of your generous holiday spirit on your credit card statement, you probably don't want to think about the holidays for a long time -- ten months, to be exact. But we have a great reason to bring up mistletoe, line cutters at the mall, shopping for Christmas trees, going broke on presents, and enjoying warm eggnog by the fire. Kellan Lutz, Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow are all tapped to star in A Misfits Christmas, a story about eight friends spending the holidays together. The cast centers around eight characters. As of now, we know that three have been cast: Brittany Snow (Hairspray (2007)), Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical (2006)), and Kellan Lutz (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)). It will be fun to watch as the young cast unfolds and A Misfits Christmas begins pre-production.

Universal Pictures has released eight still images and the first trailer for its new comedy, Get Him to the Greek, exclusively to Apple.com. Directed by Nicholas Stoller (Yes Man), Get Him to the Greek is a spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (Fsm), with Russell Brand reprising the role of Brit-rocking boy-toy Aldous Snow. Jonah Hill is also back, though as Aaron Green, an intern at Snow's record company, not as the Snow-loving resort employee from Fsm.
When we revisit Snow in Get Him to the Greek, he's a shadow of his former self. The confident, self-absorbed, rock god Snow of Fsm has been replaced by a heart-broken, heavy-drinking Snow fearful that he's entering the "greatest hits" phase of his music career. Snow's producer, Sergio Roma (Sean Combs), tasks the eager-to-please Green with escorting Snow from London to L.A., where he is supposed to start a world tour aimed at reviving his career.

According to Moviehole, Zombieland 2 is happening and it might be in 3-D. Director Ruben Fleischer spoke about the sequel, claiming that all the principal actors are interested in returning and that "the genre really lends itself to [3-D]."Not really sure where he gets that from considering the lack of 3-D zombie films.
The story was broken by Clint Morris, producer of Condition Dead 3-D, which comes out next year and will give zombie fans a glimpse of what 3-D mixed with zombies will look like. Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine 3-D) directed the movie and will probably do better than Night of the Living Dead 3-D. At least, we hope so.
There are few details or the suppossed sequel, with Fleischer and company still needing to "crack" the story for the sequel.

Patrick Swayze's cancer battle robbed the Dirty Dancing star of a chance to become a big screen werewolf.
The actor, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Monday, had been approached to star in First Howl as a movie executive suspected of murder, when he was diagnosed with the disease.
The film would have reteamed the star with C. Thomas Howell, who appeared alongside Swayze in his first big three films, The Outsiders, Red Dawn and Grandview U.S.A.
Clint Morris, who wrote the script for First Howl, reveals Swayze was the perfect choice for the role of Dennis Camrock - and he loved the part.
In a post on his MovieHole.net website, Morris writes, "I couldn’t think of anyone more perfect for the role - and as the film was written as somewhat of a love-letter to the 80s, and the product of the era, everyone was in unison... We all agreed it’d be perfect to have Swayze be a part of it.
"It looked good there for a while. We were talking costumes. We were talking drumming up his lines. But then... he got sick. And suddenly Patrick wasn’t taking on any more parts - not immediately anyway. We let it rest."
The film is now in pre-production with Eric Stoltz and 1980s Brat Pack icon Judd Nelson reportedly starring alongside Howell.

Moviehole's Clint Morris has been on top of it when it comes to investigating the sequel nobody asked for, Point Break Indo. First Jan de Bont was going to follow up on Kathryn Bigelow's classic, then director Jeff Wadlow stepped in. Then we learned that neither Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze or Lori Petty had been contacted for a role, which made it sound more like one of those direct-to-dvd sequel things where you can't really believe the movies are related. And now, apparently because the forces of good and right in the world have intervened, the sequel is off entirely. Clint is reporting this morning that two "good-as-offiicial sources" confirmed that the production has fallen apart. It makes sense, really, given that we've heard so little about the film lately, and the production start date has been pushed back repeatedly. You'd think that with renewed interest in Bigelow's career...

I was about to write up a story about a new sci-fi movie project and give credit to Variety for breaking the story when I came across a posting by Clint Morris, webmaster of Moviehole, alerting everyone that he feels the trade magazine swiped his story after reading it on his site. Before I get deeper into the controversial elements of this story, let's first lay the facts down about something new called Arcana.
Arcana is a science fiction concept that's being shaped into a script by John Ridley (Three Kings, the upcoming Red Tails) for director Kevin Tancharoean (director of the remake of Fame). Moviehole got the scoop direct from Tancharoean about the idea: "Arcana is a unique blend of the graphic-novel backdrop – like Blade Runner – and shot like 300, and has a little bit of Warriors mixed in there, with a little bit of martial arts, so it’s...

And so it comes to pass that one of mine, and “Hollywood Movie Star” Clint Morris’ favorite 80’s horror flicks “A Nightmare On Elm Street” is about to be remade…. I mean, first & foremost, the recent “Friday the 13th” is a prime example of why you shouldn’t insist on rehashing a true classic horror film - so… yeah, look, I’ll be brutally honest, I’ve just finished reading the script for the new “Nightmare”, and to say it’s horrible wouldn’t be fair, because it’s not - unfortunately what it is happens to be a typical “Platinum Dunes” film - a watered...

Many moons ago (November, 2007, to be exact), we first told you about an upcoming "satirical werewolf film" called Howl that was gearing up for production.
The title referred to the surname of the lead character, John Howl, a mixed-up cop/werewolf who's obsessed with the Eighties and hot on the trail of a murderer in Hollywood. The script was written by Clint Morris, and the talent in talks for various roles included Eric Stoltz, Stephen Tobolowsky, Kam Heskin, Powers Boothe, and Muse Watson.
Now, several months later, we heard back from Morris, who pointed us in the direction of his blog, Caffeinated Clint on Moviehole.net. It seems the project, now renamed First Howl (the artwork on your right is from our earlier story), didn't quite make its planned February 14th, 2009, start date due to current economic conditions. As Clint explains it, "The company in charge of the pic, and...

According to Moviehole (and first reported by Teen Hollywood), Zac Efron — yes, the same guy who is set to star in a 'Jonny Quest' (but not Really 'Jonny Quest') film, and who just departed from a Footloose remake — purportedly has his sights set on yet another remake, this time Back to the Future.
Speaking to Entertainment tonight about Footlose, "I'm sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge, but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That's what's always going to appeal to me: the unknown."
The unknown. Hmmm... Let's recap: 'Jonny Quest'? Known. Footloose? Known. Back to the Future? Definitely known.
What are we missing here?
To be completely accurate, The Teen Hollywood report loosely infers that Efron wants to play Marty McFly...

This story and a couple of quarters might — might, mind you — buy you a cup of coffee (though maybe not at today's prices), so take it with a grain of salt, but Clint Morris at Moviehole is reporting that Angelina Jolie is in "serious talks" to star in Sin City 2.
Quoting a "high-profile producer friend," Morris says that the filmmakers are actively trying to get the actress to commit to the Sin City sequel.
Rumors have already been circulating for some time that Jolie might be under consideration to play Ava Lord, the former flame of Dwight McCarthy (Clive Owen in the first film) in an adaptation of "A Dame to Kill For", the second installment of Frank Miller's graphic novel series.
Moviehole reports that Owen is "loosely attached" to reprise his role of Dwight McCarthy for the sequel, while Mickey Rourke’s character Marv actually has a...

Good morning, projectioneers. How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, movie-wise. I finally got a chance to see Punisher: War Zone (terrible) and the Gillo Pontecorvo film Burn! that features Marlon Brando leading a Carribean slave rebellion. It is pretty hardcore in a Sam Peckinpah kind of way. Looks like a lot of people went out and saw The Haunting in Connecticut despite my warning. Maybe you’ll listen next time. Anyway, let’s see what’s happening today. Bruno is now BruNC-17o, if that makes any sense. The Wrap broke the story that Sacha Baron Cohen’s gay-themed gotcha mock doc has too much shock! Those who saw scenes of the film at SXSW reported that it made Borat look tame, so it can’t be too surprising that the MPAA’s ruling of the first cut was a thundering Nc-17. Cohen is contractually obligated to deliver and R,...

A few weeks ago, IESB brought you the news that Zac Efron was the choice for the lead in Warner Brothers' live action Jonny Quest film.
{sidebar id=1}Clint Morris of Moviehole.net spoke with Efron this week in which he confirmed his involvement.
Moviehole.net says,
I caught up with Efron today in Melbourne, where he.s promoting the upcoming .17 Again., and managed to question the actor about his potential involvement in the film.
.Yeah, Yeah. it.s a great idea; it.d be very fun., Efron said.
The actor says the project is only in its infantile stage . noting that it.ll take years to put this one together.
.It.s a long, long process. It.s so hard when people start leaking titbits. They.re very, very early on [with it] . not that it won.t happen happen, it.s just early..

You'd think we Americans would have a leg up on Moviehole's Clint Morris, given that we're in America where all the movie stars are, and he's in Australia, which movie stars move away from as soon as they start being famous. But damn him if he isn't buying groceries at the same place as Damian Walshe-Howling, who apparently has landed the key role of the main villain in Point Break Indo. We've been talking for a while about Jan de Bont's plans to make a sequel to Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 action movie, and with Walshe-Howling added to the cast, production seems just about ready to roll. He'll play a sea pirate named Dali whose team wears masks to disguise them as members of the Bush Administration. Yes, this is a movie in which we get to see Colin Powell rob ships. Prepare yourselves. Walshe-Howling isn't very well known to American audiences,...

Just about a year and a half ago, we told you about our man Dave Davis selling his horror spec Condition Dead with My Bloody Valentine 3D director Patrick Lussier behind the camera and Moviehole's Clint Morris producing. Morris recently had a chat with Lussier and he mentioned that this flick is ripe for some 3D action. Here's a snippet: One of your next films is, well, the one that I'm producing with you - Condition Dead. We've discussed recently adding some kind of 3D element to it....

Man, I’m glad someone had the forethought to ask Patrick Lussier about the zombie project he’s been circling for a while now, Condition Dead, when chatting up My Bloody Valentine 3D. When this film happens, it’s going to kick horror fans squarely in the nuts and call them Martha, that’s how cool it is.
So it’s mentioned very briefly in a chat Lussier did with FearNet, in which he calls it ”Saving Private Ryan with zombies”. Not sure how much I like that comparison, as the last script draft I read was a helluva lot more fun than Spr, but it’ll do in a pinch. "It has a great cast of characters and some wonderful uber-zombies that are unkillable in the best way," he told the site.
The script was penned by JoBlo writer Dave Davis, who is also working on the CD comic,...

That's a darn good question, right? Whatever will happen in the end, we've been hearing plenty of rumors about the sequel to "The Dark Knight" for months now, and as you all know, rumors are rumors and they certainly shouldn't be taken seriously until we hear it officially from the filmmakers themselves.
Anyway, as far as the Two-Face thing is concerned, it's not exactly a rumor. MTV briefly caught up with Aaron Eckhart at the Golden Globes Sunday and asked the actor whether Harvey Dent may appear in "Batman 3." Eckhart's first response: a nasty laugh.
As you can see in the clip below, he then went on to say, "If he's not dead, he's in a serious coma, and I'm not sure if he's coming out."
I know that's not much, but I admit Eckhart didn't look that comfortable answering this question. Who knows, maybe he was doing it on purpose.

It's been over 20 years since The Goonies first grabbed a generation's imaginations, and the actors behind the teen adventurers have since gone on to varying levels of celebrity and career -- a couple seemingly disappearing altogether. Our chum Clint Morris, webmaster of Aussie movie site Moviehole, also fills his days as a movie producer, and has drawn Kerri Green (aka "Andy" from The Goonies) out of semi-retirement for an indie drama called Complacent. The 80s cutie (Lucas,...

When the good zombie movie news rains, it pours. Just a few days ago we heard that Condition Dead, the badass zombie action script My Bloody Valentine 3D helmer Patrick Lussier is attached to direct, might first see some life (pun intended) as a comic series. Hopefully we’ll have more details on that soon, but there’s even cooler news…
This morning the film’s producer, Clint Morris of Moviehole, upped the ante even more with the announcement that they’re looking to make Condition Dead in 3D! Since Lussier has “nearly perfected” the new 3D technology with his remake of the 80’s slasher classic, he’s more than willing to get this bad boy on the big screen in the eye-popping, ball-grabbing, ass-kicking third dimension.
Whether or not this will happen hinges on the success of My Bloody Valentine 3D of course, but Morris says a lot of...

Madonna's movies are back in the spotlight as the part-time actress celebrates her 50th birthday.
Top movie news website MovieHole.net has created a top 10 poll of the pop star's top film appearances to mark her half century.
Cheeky site editor Clint Morris suggests husband Guy Ritchie might like to buy his wife acting lessons as a gift, but adds, "It's your birthday, so let's be kind shall we... and after all, there's much worse actresses out there than Madonna."
Morris admits to owning many of Madonna's films on DVD and claims Desperately Seeking Susan is her finest acting work, adding, "This is such a fun film... I'd even go so far as to say Madonna was great in this."
Coming in second is Madonna's turn as a baseball star in sports movie A League of Their Own.
Morris states, "Madonna isn't trying to stretch herself here she's merely playing herself, a sassy chick from Brooklyn who's all about boys and bonking."
Evita round out the top three, with MovieHole.net's editor stating, "Madonna is actually quite good in the film, though it's a flick that requires a bit of patience."
The full top 10 is:
1. Desperately Seeking Susan
2. A League of Their Own
3. Evita
4. Dick Tracy
5. Die Another Day
6. The Next Best Thing
7. Shanghai Surprise
8. Body of Evidence

Seth Rogen is one of the busiest men in Hollywood right now, and he certainly deserves the success of his career. Clint Morris over at Moviehole.net had the chance to sit down and ask Rogen about some of his upcoming projects.
Here’s a brief look at what Rogen had to say: “The Green Hornet” is ready to head into production as soon as they find a director; “Pineapple Express” may get a sequel; “Superbad” is definitely not getting a sequel; and Kevin Smith's comedy “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” will be promoted at Comic Con.
And here’s a bit of what Rogen told Moviehole about Eric Bana being cast in Judd Apatow’s upcoming comedy “Funny People”:
“There’s a role in the movie for an actor that you normally wouldn’t imagine acting with our crew. We just said ‘What about Eric Bana?...
