Born in Medellin, Colombia, Alejandro's first production was "Al Final
del Espectro", sold to Universal Pictures to remake in Hollywood with
Blossom, casting Nicole Kidman. Being so far the first and only
Colombian to accomplish this, he was called to manage the Film Division
of one of the biggest media networks in the Country, where he was
responsible for more than 9 shootings and 12 productions and developing
the feature film project "Operation Checkmate" along with Vertigo
Entertainment and Screen Gems (Sony Pictures Entertainment).
As an executive for the Network he consolidated the biggest Film Investment Fund of the Country and coordinated the various stages from development to sales and promotion of films like: "Bluff", "Mentes en blanco", "Esto huele mal", "Apocalípsur", "Paraíso Travel", "Perro come perro", "Los actores del conflicto", "Riverside", "Los Colores de la montaña", "García", "En coma", among others.
In 2009 he funded Contento Films, to finance, produce and distribute films, while developing the most important media complex (7 Sound Stages currently under construction) in LATAM.
