Following the news of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ unethical friendship with GOP megadonor Harlan Crow, more details about the Texas real estate mogul have emerged, including a report that Crow is an avid collector of Adolf Hitler items.
The Washingtonian on Friday resurfaced a 2014 article by the Dallas Morning News where a tour of Crow’s Dallas-area mansion revealed the billionaire’s historical collection includes a startling amount of Nazi memorabilia, including a copy of Mein Kampf signed by the author himself, a pair of the failed artist-turned-dictator’s cityscape paintings,...

Clarence Thomas doesn’t seem to realize why a Supreme Court justice regularly accepting lavish gifts from a GOP megadonor, and then failing to report those gifts, is such a big deal.
“Harlan and Kathy Crow are among our dearest friends, and we have been friends for over twenty-five years. As friends do, we have joined them on a number of family trips during the more than quarter century we have known them,” the conservative justice said in a statement responding to a damning ProPublica report detailing how billionaire Harlan...

Roy Wood Jr. was a bit baffled on Thursday night’s episode of “The Daily Show” after it was revealed that a Republican billionaire has apparently gifted Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas several luxury gifts and trips over the last two decades. Wood couldn’t help but wonder why this man spent so much money on one justice, when he could’ve had another for a lot less.
In a bombshell report from ProPublica released Thursday, it was revealed that Harlan Crow, the real estate magnate and Republican megadonor who bankrolled a documentary about Thomas that got consideration for a 2020 Oscar, also provided decades’ worth of undisclosed luxury vacations to the Supreme Court justice.
In the report, Crow claimed he’s never tried to influence Thomas’ opinion on any cases or issues, and at that, Wood had a good laugh.

“The Last Word” host Lawrence O’Donnell aired an eight-minute takedown of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham on Wednesday night, deriding him for shedding tears for former President Donald Trump but not children killed in school shootings.
“Lindsey Graham has never cried for a single child who has been murdered in a classroom in America. Not one,” O’Donnell said, naming the three children and three adults who were killed in the school shooting in Nashville just last week.
“Lindsey Graham did not shed a single tear for any one of those victims of America’s latest mass murderer who used an Ar-15 to fire 152 bullets in that school,” the host continued. “After that mass murder, Lindsey Graham proudly told reporters in Washington that he owns an Ar-15. He didn’t say why.”

New Delhi, April 5 (Ians) The Delhi High Court, taking up a Public Interest Litigation (Pil) filed by the mother of a four-year-old child suffering from horseshoe kidney disorder, has directed the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Aiims) to import the Dexell injection, which is urgently needed for the child’s treatment.
Horseshoe kidney disorder is a rare condition in which the kidneys are fused together at the lower end and form a “U” shape before birth.
The court’s order came after the Registrar General received an email from the child’s mother, stating that the injection was not available in India and was essential for her son’s treatment. A Pil was registered based on the email.
The bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sachin Datta, while hearing the Pil, directed Aiims to urgently import the injection and ensure that it is administered to the child without any delay.

For anyone that loved Cannon Films in the 1980’s and their shlocky, grotesque but strangely enjoyable fare, Millennium Films are still flying the Golan-Globus flag some three decades later. Many of those who worked for the charismatic Israeli cousins during that manic few years through such “classics” as Invasion USA, Missing in Action, Lifeforce and Over The Top, are now part of Millennium and while a lot of their properties share much of its DNA, there’s an air of quality control with the new gang.
Their latest 21st-century Cannon-esque outing is The Hitman’s Bodyguard, another run-of-the-mill action-comedy that has all the hallmarks of being a little bit of a stinker from the off. But it’s with great joy that we can shake off those fears and proclaim the film one of the year’s most ridiculous but unabashedly delightful romps with two stars at the top of their powers.

Salma Hayek is making social media thirsty with a very steamy tribute to water.

The post comes just a day after Hayek shared a photo of herself hanging out at the home of her Hitman’s Bodyguard costar Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. And though she was there as a dinner guest, she found herself taking charge of the kitchen...

The 50-year-old actress recently stopped by the home of her Hitman’s Bodyguard costar Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. And though she was there as a dinner guest, she found herself taking charge of the kitchen and the couple’s 10-month-old daughter, Inez!

A lot of new trailers, clips, and exciting news in general dropped this week! We've got it all coming at you to start the weekend off right.
We got some sad news this week, Sir Roger Moore passed away. Before we dive into our usual roundup of movie news we must acknowledge Roger Moore's illustrious career in Hollywood. He played the iconic character of James Bond 7 times between 1973 and 1985 (Live and Let Die, The Spy who Loved Me, and Moonraker being the most notable). He was the title character in the successful TV series The Saint. Many may also know him from the comedy The Cannonball Run. His career lasted decades but came to an end today when he passed away.

I barely even knew this project existed, but here comes a restricted, foul-mouthed, Nsfw trailer for “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” to remind me. “Zero muthaf*cker’s censored,” the movie’s social media account boasts and they’re not kidding. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson star in a movie about the world’s top bodyguard and his new client: a hit man who must testify at the International Court of Justice. They must put their differences aside and work together to make it to the trial on time.

Despite the fact that this episode of Supergirl was directed by Lexi Alexander, director of one of the most brutal and action-packed superhero films of all time, Punisher: War Zone, there was a lot of talking. "Truth, Justice and the American Way" was perhaps the wordiest episode of Supergirl yet. There was a distinct emphasis on debates about morals, ethics and where Kara's powers really lie. These are 17 of the best quotes from "Truth, Justice and the American Way." ...

Lexi Alexander knows her superheroes. To some, she even is a superhero. After directing Punisher: War Zone in 2008 and this year’s “Beyond Redemption” episode of Arrow, she’s set her sights on Supergirl. Tonight will premiere Alexander’s first foray into directing a female superhero as Supergirl takes on a serial killer in “Truth, Justice, and the American Way.” HitFix Harpy spoke with Alexander by phone last week about working with Melissa Benoist, what superhero project Lexi hopes to take on next, and what it’s like to be at the forefront of the push for diversity in Hollywood. Image Credit: CBS Hitfix Harpy: How did you get involved with Supergirl? Did you reach out to them or did they reach out to you? Lexi Alexander: It was kind of a mix. Andrew Kreisberg — he's the showrunner — he tracked me down in the first place. Even for Arrow.

Supergirl has recently taken a two week hiatus, but it returns on Monday with an episode which will pit the Girl of Steel against Master Jailer.
Jeff Branson (The Young And The Restless) is playing the character. As the forceful and unrelenting jail guard on Fort Rozz, it’s said that Master Jailer showed no mercy. Now on Earth, he is hellbent on catching all of the Fort Rozz escapees and brutally bringing them to justice, even if that means clashing with Supergirl.
For more details on “Truth, Justice and the American Way,” here’s the official synopsis:
Supergirl does battle with the deadly Master Jailer (Jeff Branson), who is hunting and executing escaped Fort Rozz prisoners. Also, Cat hires a second assistant, Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci), who immediately tries to one-up Kara, and Kara and James disagree over the Deo’s methods, on Supergirl, Monday, Feb. 22.
This should be a fun one then,...

It’s reassuring that even after spending a large chunk of 2015 making radio-ready pop music with the likes of Justin Bieber, Skrillex can still throw down a set of bone-rattling bass music when the situation calls for it.
Now that Edc Brasil has wrapped up, a direct recording of his performance at the festival has begun making its rounds on social media, and it’s definitely worth watching. Mixing grating bass wobbles with saccharine melodies and borderline chipmunk-esque vocals in the style that Skrillex is known for, the performance succeeded in energizing the thousands-deep crowd in attendance on the evening he played.
Replete with remixes and edits of tracks from the likes of of Avicii, Fetty Wap and A$AP Ferg as well as a whole host of originals, his set made for a spirited return to the style that made him famous back in 2010-2011.

Set in the not-so-distant future America, an irradiated desert wasteland, Dredd 3D paints a dark, grungy picture of society to come. Based upon the comic book series, this second film adaptation takes the British comic strip source material more to heart, without taking itself too seriously. The Judges in this future, based from the Hall of Justice, are also the jury and executioner… a type of one-stop-shop of the criminal justice system. Less focused on celebrity as Sylvester Stallone’s Judge Dredd (1995), Dredd 3D (2012) may feature a relatively simple story, but showcases the extraordinarily bleak, post-industrial mess of a landscape and the overall character of its characters’ world.
Directed by Pete Travis (Vantage Point), Dredd 3D stars Karl Urban (Star Trek, Pathfinder) as the infamous, no excuses Judge to be most feared by criminals. Keeping in line with the previous statement about the film not focusing on celebrity, Urban never...

Teenagers take to the streets and Britain erupts in moral panic – why does Franc Roddam's 1979 cult classic feel so familiar?

Jimmy (Phil Daniels), a fictional mod, hangs out in a London dive. Everyone looks about 12; pass round a few splurge guns and you'd be in Bugsy Malone. First, Fox cancelled Lone Star and then, ABC cancelled My Generation. Not wanting to be left out, NBC has now cancelled Outlaw. The Jimmy Smits series has ceased production but viewers will still be able to see the remaining episodes.
Outlaw follows a Supreme Court Justice (Smits) who decides to step down and go back to being a lawyer in order to fight injustices. The NBC series also stars Carly Pope, David Ramsey, Jesse Bradford, and Ellen Woglom.
The series debuted following the season finale of one of NBC's biggest shows, America's Got Talent, and could only attract moderate ratings. In its regular Friday night timeslot, Outlaw's ratings have gone from bad to worse. This past Friday, the show hit a new low in the 18-49 demographic with a 0.9 rating and fell to just 4.10 million viewers. It was in last place in...

Just two weeks into the new fall TV season there have already been some casualties. Fox's Lone Star and ABC's My Generation were the first to get the axe.
Some TV travesties cannot be overlooked—the Gilmore Girls never got a proper good-bye episode, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip getting axed after one season, and now, the fact that the new Jimmy Smits series Outlaw might be in trouble.
Yesterday news broke that the new NBC show has been put on production hiatus after just three episodes. While that technically is not yet a cancellation, it sends a strong message that the network doesn't have a lot of faith in the show. In fact, maybe NBC never believed in the show. After all they put it in the Friday Night Death Slot right from the get go.
