I’m probably revealing my hand too soon, as a matter fact, I know I am. This is one of my favorites that I’ve seen year, and it’s a great little film that incorporates a lot of things that I love about other films into a solid entry on the sincere recommend list of great little gems that need more exposure. I love horror films set in the United Kingdom. That love goes way back to the Hammer and Amicus films, the great gothic scenery. and groovy 1970’s vibes. In a Balkan brothel, where girls kidnapped by soldiers in war-torn zones are prostituted to the military and civilians alike, Angel (Robin Day) is the deaf mute orphan enslaved to care for the inmates. But unbeknownst to her captors, she moves between the walls and crawlspaces of the seasoning house planning her escape. Psychological horror in the nerve-shredding Alfred Hitchcock and Roman Polanski style but with an ultra-modern twist.
