DirecTV has restored Newsmax to the platform's cable, satellite and streaming service, as of March 23, 2023, following parent company AT&T stock falling by almost 7%, wiping nearly $10 billion from its market value, as millions of protesting US subscribers canceled their DirecTV services:

Acid-tongued judge Simon Cowell showed his softer side on this week's episode of American Idol when he dished out praise to several singing hopefuls. Cowell has been heavily criticized since last week's episode, after which Entertainment Weekly critic Michael Slezak claimed, "The American Idol auditions in Seattle sometimes crossed the line into outright cruelty." However, Cowell lavished contestants with praise when the show visited Memphis, Tennessee this week, telling one hopeful she had "probably one of the best voices we've heard" and calling another a "brilliant singer." Katrina Szish of American publication Us Weekly notes, "It almost seemed like there was a happy drink that had been passed out in Memphis."...
