Inception has topped the charts as the most talked about movie - and third most debated topic overall - on microblogging site Twitter this year.
An analysis of 2010 trends on Twitter indicates the top 10 most tweeted films were:
1. Inception
2. Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows
3. Scott Pilgrim vs the World
4. Despicable Me
5. Karate Kid
6. The Last Airbender
7. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
8. The Expendables
9. The Chronicles of Narnia
10. Paranormal Activity 2
It's clear that the intensity of Twitter chat does not correlate with box office success, as Scott Pilgrim vs the World was a flop, despite the enthusiastic conversations on Twitter and on fanboy sites in general. Made for $60million, Edgar Wright's stylised comic book adaptation earned a dismal $47million worldwide.

Dozens of stars — including Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant, American World Cup hero Landon Donovan, New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn — gathered at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for a night of sports highlights and wacky comedy, orchestrated by host Seth Myers.
