Lena Dunham had “Girls.” Amy Schumer had “Trainwreck.” And now, Leah McKendrick has “Scrambled.” The filmmaker and star behind the dramedy “Scrambled” shines in this coming-of-age fertility saga, which chronicles an aimless 34-year-old who decides to freeze her eggs amid the onslaught of weddings, bridal showers, and babies her peers are suddenly throwing.
The film follows Los Angeles native Nellie (McKendrick), whose best friend Sheila (“Saturday Night Live” standout Ego Nwodim) is getting married. Gone are their days of doing coke together and partying without consequence: Sheila is pregnant and tying the knot, while Nellie gets stuck rolling on ecstasy by herself at the reception.

A veritable army of Disney Channel stars are reuniting for a very un-Disney project.
Matthew Scott Montgomery (“So Random!”), Debby Ryan, Alyson Stoner, Kevin Chamberlin (“Jessie”), Tim Bagley, Shayne Topp (“So Random!”) and Damien Haas (“So Random!”) have all signed on to appear in an upcoming LGBTQ+ horror thriller directed by Allisyn Snyder.
Titled “Howdy, Neighbor!,” the upcoming film is written by Montgomery, and is formatted as a “screenlife” film, with all of the footage occurring on computer screens. Montgomery stars as Benjamin, a young queer millenial actor living in West Hollywood who was once a famous child actor. When a new neighbor Chase (Grant Jordan) moves across the hall and reveals himself as a fan, Benjamin begins investigating the oddly familiar man with his best friend Harley (Ryan). Aside from the former Disney Channel stars, the supporting cast also includes Sterling Sulieman, Adam Faison, Greer Grammer and Kimmy Shields.

What do you get when you mix Shakespeare and Shonda Rhimes? Obviously the answer is Still Star-Crossed, the latest addition to the ShondaLand canon, an Elizabethan-period drama that picks up where Romeo and Juliet left off. Alas, as it turns out, the death of the doomed lovers did not bring about peace in fair Verona... Medalion Rahimi is already being singled out by critics for her scene-stealing turn as Princess Isabella (the word "badass" has been employed), sister of the city's new leader, Prince Escalus (Sterling Sulieman), who has a past with Juliet's cousin Rosaline (Lashana Lynch) but has ordered her to marry Romeo's cousin Benvolio (Wade Briggs) to try to...

We all know the story of Romeo and Juliet's fleeting romance and tragic deaths, but what happens next has always been a mystery -- until now.
Inspired by the novel by Melinda Taub, ABC's new summer series, Still Star-Crossed, ramps up the action and drama after Romeo and Juliet die, and the treacherous feud between the Montague and Capulet families that continues to rage on. But another forbidden romance presents itself at the end of the premiere episode and that will certainly ruffle 17th century feathers as the season progresses.
"It's the ultimate romantic story about forbidden love and I think a lot of people can relate to that," actress Medalion Rahimi, who plays Princess Isabella, tells Et of the time-honored Romeo and Juliet tale. "The tragedy in the end -- I don't want to say that it's good to necessarily glorify young lovers' suicide -- but the idea that because of prejudice these young lovers...

Things are far from perfect on this episode of Pretty Little Liars, where we are seeing first hand what happens when you eliminate one threat – two more pop up.
Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) was never anyone’s favorite, especially when it came out that he was connected to Alison (Sasha Pieterse) in some perverted way or another, but he looks a lot like the lesser evil when you think about what’s lurking in the shadows now. Not only did Wilden’s murder bring in investigators of a higher pay grade with embarrassingly more resources, but they seem to have a chip on their shoulders about the size of our lovely Liars. They’ve wasted no time flagging all the usual suspects and without any of the personal vendettas that Wilden had, they might actually solve a case before they exit stage left.
So who killed Wilden? I’ve squandered...

Emily's sexuality is a hot topic for fans of "Pretty Little Liars" -- she's been presented as a lesbian since very early on in the first season, and it's refreshing to see a gay character as one of the leads in a show that's aimed at a young audience.
It's no surprise that there was some discord, then, when ABC Family announced that a male love interest will be introduced for Emily in Season 3. "Vampire Diaries" actor Sterling Sulieman will play Nathan, the cousin of Emily's first girlfriend, Maya -- who was murdered in the Season 2 finale.
Though Emily is bisexual in the books, it doesn't seem that the show is going in that direction -- at least, not for long. "Pretty Little Liars" showrunner Marlene King tells After Ellen, "It's not our intention. I want to choose my words really carefully here, because Emily is going through a period...

"Pretty Little Liars" set a couple interesting storylines in motion with the Season 3 premiere on Tuesday, June 5. We've got a look ahead for you at the fourth episode, titled "Birds of a Feather" - pictures and a description of the action.
The truth can sometimes hurt and the Liars must take that into account when deciding to reveal secrets. Hanna's visits with Mona are driving a wedge between Hanna and Caleb. But would it be so bad if Hanna told Caleb that she needed to see Mona to get information about this "A?" Aria, on the other hand, is dreading telling Ella that Byron is back in the dating scene and dating Meredith. But wouldn't it be better if Ella found out from Aria than hearing it someplace else? And Spencer needs to know the truth about Melissa, even if the truth hurts.
Meanwhile, Emily finds some solace after meeting Maya's cousin,...

Shay Mitchell addresses all the rumors about what's to come for Emily in season three, including several potential new love interest — both male and female! Pretty Little Liars fans were devastated when Emily's (Shay Mitchell) girlfriend Maya (Bianca Lawson) was found dead on the second season finale, and it looks like season three will tackle that mystery right away June 5 with the introduction of Maya's cousin Nathan (Sterling Sulieman). "He's a great character," Shay told HollywoodLife.com and other reporters May 23 on the Rosewood set. "I think for Emily, in some way, [he's] a reminder of Maya, and it brings a closeness to her." "It really does help in that grief period because he understands kind of what she feels, too," Shay added. "There's a different kind of connection when it's family or someone that you love in that sort of way." Though it will be hard, Shay said Emily will...

The worlds of "Pretty Little Liars" and "The Vampire Diaries" will collide once again as Sterling Sulieman joins the cast of ABC Family's hit drama. The actor will play Maya's cousin Nathan St. Germain, who heads to Rosewood, Penn. when he transfers to Hollis College, reports TV Guide.
Nathan has a way with the ladies and has his sights set on law school, which could be a good thing for the St. Germain family considering there's a very good chance it was Maya we saw zipped up in a body bag in the Season 2 finale and that legal knowledge could come in handy, TV Guide notes.
Sulieman played tomb vampire Harper on "Tvd," where "Pll" actress Torrey DeVitto is currently recurring as Meredith Fell. "Pll" returns to ABC Family Tuesday, June 5 at 8 p.m.

Might the following piece of Pretty Little Liars casting news hint at the fate of Maya, who Pll viewers supposedly last saw being carried away in a body bag?
Sterling Sulieman has landed the role of Nathan St. Germain, TV Guide reports, this character's cousin and a new Hollis College student bound for law school.
How will Nathan get involved in Maya's death? If she even dead? Creator Marlene King is on record as saying we'll learn her status early in season three.
Sulieman, meanwhile, appeared on season one of The Vampire Diaries as a blood sucker named Harper and has also guest-starred on 24 and NCIS.

When The Vampire Diaries returns on March 25, viewers will quickly meet a pair of new characters.
First up: Harper. He's the vampire we got a glimpse of as the previous episode concluded, awakening and walking out of the tomb. Says producer Julie Plec:
"We'll... follow him on his journey as he sets up shop in Mystic Falls and who he sets up shop with."
Played by Sterling Sulieman, take a look at Harper from "A Few Good Men" below:
As for David Anders as Jonathan Gilbert? He'll guide Jeremy along a journey, one producer Kevin Williamson describes as "dark." He also says about the character:
"He surfaces when it comes time to sell [Jeremy and Elena's] dad's doctor's office, but he's [really] there because he wants something and he'll fight to the finish to get it."...

Rip, Grams Bennet.
While we don't like wishing harm on any characters - especially any characters that "protect their own" and do more for the positive image of witches than the Broadway production of Wicked - the passing of Bonnie's grandmother was a necessary outcome this week for two reasons:
It raised the stakes for Bonnie. How will she react to this death? Might she blame Elena for getting herself involved with Stefan, a relationship that started this chain of events? Grams was too powerful. Any show that deals with creatures or people with special abilities must be careful. Give any of them too strong of a power and any storyline can be resolved by simply having this individual do something. Case in point: How do we get Bonnie and Elena out of captivity? Grams will conjure up a locating spell!
But it seems as though producers were aware of...

It sounds like Katherine has company in the quasi after-life.
In February (spoiler alert!), Vampire Diaries producer Julie Plec has confirmed that viewers will learn a lot more about who is buried along with Elena's doppelgänger underneath the Mystic Falls forest.
"We have a union soldier down there named Harper who we’ll be seeing soon," Plec told TV Guide Magazine.
This character will be played by Sterling Sulieman, a veteran of All My Children who will also star as CTU Agent Tac on this season’s 24. He debuts on February 11.
Earlier this week, Sulieman alerted Twitter followers to the role:
"Not going to Atlanta till Monday! but I got fitted for my Vampire Eyes. Also got to try on the black ones from true blood. Creepy."...
