Exclusive: Vice TV is exploring Sex Before The Internet in a new docuseries from former ABC News President James Goldston.
The linear network has ordered the eight-part series from Goldston’s Aquitania Films and Vice World News.
It is one of the first series orders for Goldston, who launched his company last year and has been an unofficial advisor to the January 6 hearings to make it appealing viewing to the public.
The series, which is set to premiere in 2023, will explore a world before Pornhub and OnlyFans, an era where porn wasn’t available at your fingertips 24/7. This was a time when X-rated magazines, VHS tapes and 1-900 numbers allowed people to get in touch with what touched them.
It will feature Larry Levenson, the infamous owner of 90’s sex club Plato’s Retreat, dial into the controversies surrounding the 1-900 phone sex industry, meet the stars of the exploding...

In April 2015, over 20 million people watched Caitlyn Jenner -- still known then to the public as Bruce -- come out as transgender to Diane Sawyer in a 20/20 interview special, becoming one of the most high-profile transgender personalities in the U.S. (It was a month later that Jenner debuted her name and physical transformation on the cover of Vanity Fair.)
The interview was not only a huge moment for the transgender community, but also for Jenner and her family, who sat beside her to watch the special unfold on TV. “Alright, so there I am. I’m sitting on this couch and Diane Sawyer is coming on. My young kids, especially Kendall and Kylie, they don’t want anybody to hurt their daddy,” Jenner recalls in an exclusive outtake from HBO’s new documentary The Trans List, premiering on Monday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. Et.

It’s not every day that cinephiles can watch porn that stimulates them — artistically, that is. Unless you attend a live screening of Hump! Film Festival, the amateur porn festival started by sex columnist Dan Savage.
Lynn Shelton fans are already familiar with the fest, thanks to 2009’s “Humpday,” which told the story of two straight guys who decide to make a gay porn and submit it to Hump! (Fun fact: After Savage challenged Shelton to submit her own indie porn film to Hump!, The director accepted, and the resulting film won an award at the festival.)
Hump! features short, dirty films that are each under five minutes. Per the festival’s website: “Our carefully curated program is a cornucopia of body types, shapes, ages, colors, sexualities, genders, kinks, and fetishes—all united by a shared spirit of sex-positivity… Hump!’s main mission is to change the way America sees—and makes and shares—porn.

Transsexual porn star Buck Angel is now 100% legit under Louisiana law ... which means he can now legally ditch his wife and go after her money. According to the court decision, Buck and Elayne Angel's union is legal because they always intended to be married as a man and woman -- and back in 2003 they were granted a marriage license in Louisiana ... as a man and a woman. No one questioned Buck's gender when they got the license.

Buck Angel documentary ‘Mr. Angel’ - about the life of the transgender adult star - available on DVD in December In the United States, it’s Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 28, 2013. It’s an inspirational time of the year for millions, so what’s more appropriate than the December 3 release of QC Cinema’s DVD Mr. Angel? Directed by Dan Hunt, Mr. Angel is described in the film’s press release as "an inspirational story of rare perseverance" that features "an unlikely hero": Buck Angel, himself described as a "transgender advocate, educator, and porn pioneer." As found in the SXSW Film Festival’s synopsis of Mr. Angel, Buck Angel "was born female yet always knew he was male." His parents raised him as a boy until he reached adolescence, and that’s when things took a downhill turn: drug addiction, homelessness, suicide attempts. Eventually, Buck Angel underwent a double mastectomy.

Less a festival than a drawn-out season exploring the overlap between cinema and music. Local hero John Parish starts things off this Saturday, talking about his film music and selecting films for this month's Sunday Brunch screenings. Next month it's Goldfrapp's Will Gregory's turn, and he performs with his Moog ensemble alongside Geoff Barrow's would-be Judge Dredd soundtrack Drokk. There's a special screening of Tron, and in May Philip Glass will be selecting movies and giving a talk.
Watershed & St George's Hall, Sat to 14 May
London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival
Never afraid to shake things up, the long-running festival is even taking suggestions on a new name this year. Strictly, it should be the Llgbtqiaff (taking in bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual), but surely we can come up with something more succinct?...

Buck Angel, transgender porn star, filmmaker, speaker and transgender advocate, has released a new documentary titled “Mr. Angel.”
The 68-minute film will premiere at this year’s SXSW film festival. The film is groundbreaking because it candidly touches on subjects that society often tends to misunderstand or even sneer at. Mirroring the film, the premiere itself is innovative because many other film festivals rejected it.
In an email to HuffPost Gay Voices, Angel noted, “It’s a pretty big deal as some of the other 'big festivals' turned us away as being too 'subversive.'"
The premiere takes place March 9 at 7:30Pm. Watch a trailer for the film above.

South by Southwest (SXSW) is just one of many film festivals, we here at Sound On Sight cover yearly. The fest, which takes place every spring in Austin, Texas, began in 1987, and has continued to grow in size every year. The fest announced the first wave of films back in early January, and the lineup included some highly anticipated films such as The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Evil Dead, Downloaded and Spring Breakers. Now the full lineup has been announced, and it just might be one of the best lineups the festival has ever programmed.
SXSW takes place March 8-16 in Austin Texas. Here are just some of the films we are excited about.
Narrative Feature Competition – This year’s 8 films were selected from 1,191 submissions. Each film is a World Premiere.
