Casey Wilson may be best known as an actor, with roles in “Gone Girl,” “Atypical,” “Happy Endings” and “Black Monday” as well as a stint as a “Saturday Night Live” cast member, and as a podcaster (“Bitch Sesh”). However, she also has an extensive writing résumé, including co-penning feature comedy films “Bride Wars” and “Ass Backwards.” Now, she is about to publish her first book, “Wreckage of My Presence,” out May 4 from Harper, a collection of essays reflecting on her familial and romantic relationships and some of her past work, all through a humorous lens.
“Wreckage of My Presence” does talk about some of your work experiences, but it also digs deep into your personal life. How did you know how much was enough of each part of you to include? And did you approach the behind-the-scenes stories differently if they were past shows where you may have told a...

Comedy Central has greenlit the new digital series “Unsend,” which will look at social media’s sublime and bizarre reactions to everything happening in the world each week.
Paul Scheer will produce the series, which is hosted by Joel Kim-Booster (“Conan”) and Patti Harrison (“Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon”) and created by Deanna Cheng (“Heathers”) and Matt McConkey (“Heathers” and the Homophilia podcast).
The show examines the week’s events through social media, focusing not so much on what happened as on how people reacted online — from Reddit to “ill-informed tweets and Tmi Instagram stories,” according to a release. The hosts will cover everything from entertainment to sports, spotting trends and interviewing celebrities about online regrets. “Daily Show”-style correspondents will do deep dives into memes and baffling feuds.

While some TV networks are papering over the realities of their businesses by trumpeting a range of digital deals, Pop, the CBS-Lionsgate joint venture, is sticking to its linear knitting.
The network known as Pop for the past three years, after rebranding from TV Guide Network, announced a raft of new orders, renewals and pilot orders, including new shows Clique and Flack and renewals of Schitt’s Creek, Swedish Dicks and Hollywood Darlings. The news is timed with the upfronts, but instead of a formal presentation, the network has meetings with ad buyers and press in smaller, more individualized settings.
The programming news is part of a ramped-up strategy with a new target of 400 original hours a year.

Actress Krysten Ritter was set to executive-produce The Demons of Dorian Gunn, a supernatural comedy for network Pop.
Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter may portray television’s most enigmatically misanthropic Marvel hero onscreen, but she’s also fielding multiple creative outlets away from the camera. Last year she released her first novel, Bonfire, and has produced a few TV projects over the years. Yet, a would-be series, called The Demons of Dorian Gunn, would have seen Ritter brandish the title of executive producer. However, the latest development places emphasis on “would have.”
Krysten Ritter’s The Demons of Dorian Gunn, has been passed over by cable channel Pop, reports Deadline. Ritter’s TV project – a CBS and Lionsgate joint venture – was put into development for Pop back in December 2017. However, nearly a year later, the network has pulled the proverbial plug on the pilot, which was to...
