Dean Cain, Teri Polo fall for 'Lies'
Teri Polo is set and Dean Cain and Jay Thomas are in final negotiations to play leads in the ensemble film Material Lies for Starr Light Prods.
Katherine Starr will write and direct. Cain will play struggling actor Josh, who upon learning that he has leukemia arranges a weekend reunion of his former college friends, including his former sweetheart Ginni (Polo), with whom he hopes to reconcile. He plans to portray himself as wealthy and successful, and Frank (Thomas) agrees to help.
Production is slated to begin in June in Malibu.
Starr, Valerie McCaffrey, Shelly Earl and Scott Hamilton will produce.
Cain is repped by Paradigm, Polo by Gersh and manager Bob McGowan and Thomas by Tim Angle and Holder Management.

Celebs called for 'Jury Duty'
Phyllis Diller, Ed Begley Jr., Bruce Vilanch, Paula Poundstone, Kevin Sorbo, Scott Hamilton, Dick Van Patten and Tiffany are among the celebrities set to take part in the upcoming syndicated court strip Jury Duty, according to Radar Entertainment, the independent company headed up by Vincent Dymon and Linda Dymon that is distributing and producing the show. Jury Duty, which is presided over by Bruce Cutler, features celebrities serving as jury members. Also on the list are Todd Bridges, Brande Roderick, Shadoe Stevens, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Charlene Tilton, James Avery and Lee Meriwether, among others.
Jury Duty, which is shooting at Dole Studios in Westlake Village, Calif., is cleared in 85% of the U.S. for its Sept. 17 launch.
