A few weeks back, It Was Brought Into Question whether or not Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first Star Wars anthology picture, would feature the standard text crawl that the main saga made so iconic. At the time, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy did not want to commit to an answer, but the more they spoke about it, the more it seemed as though they’d be going in a different direction.
Conversations seemed to have continued behind closed doors over at Lucasfilm, and while Kennedy still seems reticent to commit to an answer, it sounds an awful lot like Rogue One — not to mention the rest of the anthology films — won’t be featuring an opening crawl.
