In 2004 the feature contracted by a local filmmaker, Satan & the Saint, was premiered at the Queens Film Festival in New York City. Shortly after, the second and much more notable, Tiny Tim: The Last Hurrah.
West continued to write screenplays including Medulla, nominated for 'Best Crime Drama' & 'Best Comedy Scene' at the Action On Film International Film Festival in 2008. Zombie script, At Last Alone, took runner-up for 'Best Thriller' in 2010's festival.
In 2009, West produced and directed a short, considered a spec TV pilot called Lunch, which very quickly received the 'Official Finalist' award at the 2010 Las Vegas Film Festival. While working on Lunch, West had casted Brett Leigh in a supporting role.
After Lunch was completed Leigh presented a new film concept revolving around film festivals. The script was written and in early 2010, Festival began pre-production. In April of 2011, Festival had its World Premiere at the Boston International Film Festival. It went on to show at the Action On Film International Film Festival and Lucerne International Film Festival in the same year. It received three awards in addition to the premieres including 'Best Director' and 'Best Comedy'.
In early 2011, West began pre-production on his next project, Night. After working with Bill Doherty Jr. in Festival, West immediately casted him in the lead role. Production on this twenty-eight minute short lasted only for about two weeks. After very long delays in post-production, Night was finally completed in 2013. In 2014, it was officially selected and premiered at the Action On Film International Film Festival. NIGHT is currently available for viewing on Vimeo & YouTube.
