Maarten Spruijt

Maarten Spruijt is a composer from the Netherlands. He received
his Master degree cum laude in Composition in Context at the Faculty of
Art, Media & Technology in Hilversum. He composed the music score for
the motion picture The Seven of Daran: The Battle of Pareo Rock
(Lourens Blok) which was nominated for the Dutch Golden Calf award 2008
for Best Music. His tango score for M.A.N. (Robert Matser) featured
Carel Kraayenhof on bandoneon. This tango was later arranged and
performed by the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble at their Matinee concert
in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam in 2008.
In 2002, Maarten teamed up with media composer Vincent Beijer and composer-arranger Marco Deegenaars founding ProjectSAM, a music company developing, producing and selling sound sample libraries for the high-end orchestral sample market, including the best-seller library Symphobia.
