Before Hairspray made its way to Broadway, where it would go on to win the Tony Award for best musical, the show’s leading man left the production.

When Lea Michele cries, we cry, and boy are we crying now. We've got your exclusive first look at a scene from tonight's series finale of Glee, and it sure is a doozy in the emotion department. Will (Matt Morrison) appears to be singing Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's "Teach Your Children" to a room full of strangers and friends alike, including his current students and a few alumni including Tina, Artie, Sam, Blaine, and Kurt, but it's clear that the song is really aimed at one person in particular, and that person is Rachel Berry. This is the performance the cast talked about on The Ellen DeGeneres Show when they pulled Morrison out and had the whole...

It’s hard to believe that after only a few short years Glee will be broadcasting its 500th musical number in its next episode, Girls (and Boys) On Film.
Of course, there is bound to be a lot fan discussion concerning what the number will be? Who will lead? Where it will take place?
After taking these variables into consideration myself, I’ve come to wonder which songs/performances I would pick from the series, thus far, if I had to explain the story to someone who had never watched the show. It is a given that Glee has a spectrum of fans and different people look for their own preferences in the musical performances. Some people want everything to be Top-40, some want 80s’ soft-rock and others are the theatre fanatics.
Nevertheless, I believe, a variety of genre keeps the show fresh and appealing. So, in honour of Glee’s upcoming milestone,...

Being the "new" anything is tough -- just ask New Coke, Saved By The Bell: The New Class or New Directions. But things seem to be going very well for both New Directions' latest addition, Jake Puckerman, and the actor who plays him, Jacob Artist.
Three weeks in to the show's fourth season, and Jake has emerged as McKinley's newest heartbreaker while Jacob has emerged as one of the most stirring voices Glee has ever featured. I caught up with the 19-year-old to find out what life is like on Glee, what's next for his character and whose song he'd love to tackle next!

Brody has the hots for Rachel and he's not afraid to show it! Do You think she reciprocates his feelings? On the September 20 episode of Glee, Britney Spears gets a tribute (again), Brody (Dean Geyer) brings out Rachel's (Lea Michele) sexy side, and Puck (Mark Salling) returns! "Britney 2.0" was arguably the best hour of Glee Ever in the history of the series -- easily besting its Britney tribute predecessor. I honestly don't even know where to start, but I will say that Sam (Chord Overstreet) is looking damn fine this season. (Hellllo.) It all starts when Brittany S. Pierce (Heather Morris) gets kicked off the Cheerios for being a bad role model, leading her into a downward spiral (a la Britney circa 2007) of epic proportions. (Let's just say a buzzer and an umbrella are involed.) In New York, Cassandra July (Kate Hudson) tells Rachel that she's not sexy enough to tango.

Jacob Artist’s acting career only began in earnest last year — with guest roles on Melissa & Joey and Nickelodeon’s How to Rock — so not surprisingly, he says he’s finding it a little surreal to have a recurring role as Jake Puckerman (younger half-brother of Mark Salling’s bad boy Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman) on Season 4 of Glee.

Fox Scene from “Glee.”
In tonight’s “Extraordinary Merry Christmas,” “Glee” veered away from the technicolor extravaganza of its first Christmas special last year, to a black-and-white pastiche of plastic smiles, canned laughter and humdrum holiday songs. They threw in a dash of “Star Wars” paraphernalia and a bit of Judy Garland magic, but still it came out a jumbled mess.
This is an awkward proposition, to say the least. It’s the directorial debut of Matt Morrison, who plays show-choir master Will Schuester.

“Glee” Star Jane Lynch Talks About Hosting The Emmys, New Episodes of “Glee” and Her Personal Memoir
HollywoodNews.com: Jane Lynch met the Television Critics Association today to discuss her job hosting this year’s Emmy Awards. After the presentation, we got to ask her more about her preparations, the new season of Glee and her upcoming memoir, Happy Accidents.
Q: Are you wearing a tux on The Emmys or dresses, and how many costume changes will you make?
Jl: I think I’m going to have a couple changes. David Meister’s designing them. I might be wearing a tux but he has some great ideas for non traditional gowns.
Q: How much input are you having with his designs?
Jl: One of the things that I’ve learned is I don’t go into areas that I know nothing about. I have a great producer, I have great writers and a terrific designer. I’m just sitting back and marveling at their talent.
Q: Are you nervous?...

Having established itself comfortably as a massive commercial success, with booming ratings and record music sales, it would be easy for "Glee" to sit on its dancing heels and churn out a carbon copy third season.
But creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy is planning on doing the exact opposite.
Having already revealed that some of the top cast members will graduate after this season -- and will be replaced at McKinley High by additional students who will be introduced this year -- Murphy revealed more about his plans in interviews with TV Line, TV Guide and The Hollywood Reporter.
Perhaps the biggest change will come for Sue Sylvester, the ornery cheerleading coach played to Emmy-winning perfection by Jane Lynch. She's worked to destroy the glee club for the last two seasons, and has had brief, if strange romantic interests, and Murphy plans to kick her story lines into another gear this coming season.

Could some of Glee’s most popular characters, like Lea Michele’s Rachel and Cory Monteith’s Finn, be seeing their final season on the Fox hit? Apparently so, according to an interview that series co-creator Ryan Murphy gave to Ryan Seacrest on Friday. Here's the one drawback with TV series about kids: they grow up.
Unless a showrunner can suspend the laws of time and begin writing seasons that address just days or weeks, they eventually face a decision as to how they'll adapt their shows to older stars. Will they follow them from high school to new stages in life? Or bring in new characters? Perhaps both?
According to "Glee" showrunner Ryan Murphy, he's leaning toward doing the latter.
He confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that he's looking to move the current cast on from high school, with them graduating at the end of the third season, and bringing in fresh talent to the show -- which is the entire function of the new Oxygen Network show, "The Glee Project."

So after we bugged him about Glee stuff, we had to hear about his other awesome project, The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers (Lxd) web series, which has become a bona fide viral hit. Not only did he share all the goods on Lxd, but we also managed to get him to spill on Mike Chang's New Directions journey for the rest of the season: "We have about five or six more episodes left, so it's getting down to the wire. Are we even going to make it to Nationals? And in between all that there is...

Think the long days on set are enough to keep these beauties in shape? Nope! Here’s how the ‘Glee’ girls have fun while burning the calories!
The Glee cast may spend 14 hours a day dancing and singing, but for Lea Michele, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jayma Mays and Heather Morris it’s the hours after rehearsal that kick their butts into shape — literally!
Lea Michele’s 15-minute total body routine: “She wanted to target her abs, legs and arms,” Michele’s Nike trainer Marie Purvis tells Us magazine. It combines lunges, jumps, single-arm rows and leg lifts. Lea adds Bikram yoga and hiking. She also maintains a strict vegan diet.
Jenna Ushkowitz’s 90-minute heated Vinyasa yoga classes: “My arms, legs, and core get more toned [and makes me feel happier],” she says. Jenna participates in the classes four times a week — and also hits the treadmill for 45-minute runs!.

Sometimes "Funny or Die" clips are more of the latter than the former. Like the site's latest "Glee" fan bait, "Carpool with Matt Morrison & Jane Lynch."
Matt and Jane set out on their first (and final) fictional carpool to the "Glee" set, where Lynch quickly learns that her co-star actually never stops singing. It might be funny, if we didn't have the sneaking suspicion that this is a fitting reenactment of an actual Matthew Morrison commute.
He warbles along to such infamously horrible tunes as Limp Bizkit's "Nookie," Eiffel 65's "Blue" and the traffic report, before Lynch finally snaps -- the clip's redeeming moment.

The 'Country Strong' star and the 'Glee' actor have recorded a version of 'Over the Rainbow' for his upcoming release.

Holly Holliday will be making sweet music with Will Schuester once more. Translating from Gleek speak, Oscar-winning actress-turned-singing staple Gwyneth Paltrow will be crooning yet another number with Matthew Morrison.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Paltrow will appear on Morrison's upcoming solo album, which is due out on May 10. On "Glee," recurring guest Paltrow — who plays flaky substitute teacher Holliday — has covered Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," Cee Lo Green's "Forget You" and Prince's "Kiss," the latter of which she performed with Morrison's Mr. Schue.
Now, the Golden Globe-nominated Morrison is having the "Country Strong" star help him out on his debut record, on a tune that's become almost synonymous with his "Glee" character: "Over the Rainbow." As Morrison told EW,...

Zap2it was on the scene when the "Glee" cast and creators were honored at PaleyFest for the second year in a row, and the night was a Gleek's dream as everyone teased what's to come in the final six episodes of the season... and what we can expect from Season 3. If you couldn't make it out to Los Angeles to meet the Glee club in person, never fear! We've got all you need to know right here.
All the Prom details: Next to Nationals, Prom is on everyone's mind. Quinn is determined to use Finn to get the coveted Prom Queen crown, but the McKinley High Qb may catch onto her agenda sooner than we think. "I think he's gonna wise up to that at some point and maybe that'll send him back in the other direction," Cory Monteith told us. The other direction he's referring to? Rachel, of course!

Here we are again, my friends, another week into Glee’s wretched second season. However, Eric Stoltz (seriously) directs us, yet again, to a high point in a forest of low. Last time they let him behind the camera, we got “Duets,” the one where Brittana talk about scissoring and Artie loses his virginity. As usual with guest directors, some of the camerawork was noticeably different, which is always welcome.
Tonight’s episode, about alcohol, could have been a mind-bending assault from After-school Special Land, and while there was a bit of that creeping in, the episode managed to be somewhat surprising in its over-all message that yes, alcohol is (or at least can be) fun, but not something to be treated lightly. We were spared most of the teen-show booze clichés (car crash, parental scolding, any real consequences) and only saw the most refreshingly banal of after-effects (vomiting, hangovers,...

James Franco's Next Hosting Dream: The Daytime Emmy Awards'
The 127 Hours and sometime General Hospital star told The Hollywood Reporter during the Palm Springs International Film Festival that he would love an invite to host the award show.
“Maybe next, I’ll get to host the daytime Emmys," he said. "Hey, if they ask me, I might do it. I would love that."
Y&R will start airing in The Netherlands
The show will debut on January 31.
Susan Dansby to write for Y&R in a six-week trial
Dansby -- the four-time Daytime Emmy winner and Writers Guild Of America Award recipient who was responsible for penning the final two years of As The World Turns scripts -- has been snapped up by The Young & The Restless. Another thing to add to the list of "Why we want Heather Morris to be our Bff." The "Glee" star teamed up with Funny or Die to bring us the best thing... well, the best thing since last week, when James Van Der Beek teamed up with Funny or Die.
In "Nuthin' But a Glee Thang," which Morris co-wrote, she and her friends - including a track-suit clad "Modern Family's" Sofia Vergara - have a very musical Gleek out.
"Heather is my favorite," Vergara confesses. "I just don't want her to know because I don't want her to think that I'm just a crazy fan... it just makes me want to cut to a musical number."
The "Nuthin' but a G-Thang" video features plenty of other cast members, including sunglasses-clad Matthew Morrison creeping us out with his abs, Cory Monteith trying to dance, Harry Shum actually dancing, and Naya Rivera getting tatted up.

It was only a matter of time before the Internet's most reliable spoof-generator joined forces with TV's most spoof-worthy show. Ladies and gentlemen, we present 'Nuthin' But a Glee Thang.'
Co-written by Heather Morris, whom we already knew was a badass, the Funny or Die skit is a take on Dr. Dre's 'Nuthin' But a G Thang.' With the help of two girlfriends and a whole mess of 'Glee' cast members, Morris raps about Matt Morrison's funniest stalker ever, her disturbing obsession with her costars and and a Jane Lynch blow up doll.
A funny bonus comes at the beginning, when a tracksuit-clad Sofia Vergara winkingly references her 'Modern Family' costar Ed O'Neill's misreported comments about Jane Lynch. (Side note: How do we get Sofia Vergara to hang out with us?)

The cast at last year’s Globes. Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images. Surprising exactly no one, Glee received five Golden Globe nominations this morning, reprising—with a precision and consistency that the show itself is sorely lacking—the noms it received last year for best actress (Lea Michele), best actor (Matt Morrison), best supporting actress (Jane Lynch), and best comedy series. The one note (ugh!) of harmony in this familiar tune was the nomination of Chris Colfer—who plays the weepy-eyed, dulcet-voiced homosexual, Kurt—in the category of best supporting actor.

If you loved the sound of Gwyneth Paltrow on Glee, you're in luck because the actress will be back for more singing and dancing as substitute teacher Holly Holiday. "I'm going to do one more," the Country Strong star tells Access Hollywood. "I signed up for two ... so I'm excited!" Paltrow, whose character stepped in when glee club director Mr. Schuester came down with "monkey flu," says the whole experience of filming an episode of Fox's hit show was a blast. "Just the incredible challenge of getting off a plane, going to record four songs immediately in one afternoon, and...
