Wattpad Webtoon Studios has announced that it is developing three new film and TV projects based on IP from its social storytelling platform Wattpad and its digital comic platform Webtoon.
Screenwriter, playwright and novelist Gabriel Bergmoser has been tapped to adapt A. Rasen’s popular webcomic GremoryLand for film, with Wattpad Webtoon set to produce alongside Roy Lee’s Vertigo Entertainment.
The studio will also develop Wattpad books Unholy Matrimony (by @xxinlove) and I’m a Gay Wizard (by V.S. Santoni) for TV, with Alyson Weaver Nicholas (Snap’s Two Sides) penning the script for the former project, and Price Peterson (The CW’s Legacies) adapting the latter.
Currently boasting more than 20 million reads on Webtoon, GremoryLand follows six friends who are reunited as the sole visitors of a new horror theme park, promising an experience as unique as it is terrifying. They soon realize that the horrors of...

Mmm, pumpkin spice! Hot cinnamon spice! Soy chai! Fall maintains a pretty wholesome reputation considering Starbucks basically bought it in 1997. But sigh, the return of gingerbread lattes! That’s my harvest!

(Spoilers for last night's episode.) During the season finale of True Blood, vampire Eric Northman engaged in some casual nude reading atop a Swedish mountain — just normal vampire stuff — right before flames engulfed his body (guess that magical faerie blood wore off, or something) and he proceeded to (maybe!) die. More important, as he was getting up from his lounge chair To Maybe Die, he also revealed his naked front. As our recapper Price Peterson put it: "Also, he may have died, but Eric's Penis. Listen to me. Wait, what was I saying? It's kind of hard to think." Because we have respect for the maybe-deceased Eric Northman, we're not gonna put those nudies here, but you can find them with some quick Googling. (Such teases, we know.)Of course, nudity is nothing new on HBO, home of the show (Game of Thrones) that made sexposition a word that...

We asked Lily Sparks, Price Peterson and Ryan Sandoval, the creators of the Amazon original pilot Supanatural to tell us more about the show. They asked if we would accept answers in the form of GIFs. We said, “Spider, please!”
Supanatural is about two best friends who have dealt with supernatural phenomena for so long and so easily, that nowadays when some overwhelming horror like this happens
their reaction is this
Hezbah and Lucretia are not impressed by things you would consider to be your Worst Nightmare. They handle demons, ghosts, and ghouls on the regular and frankly they’d rather just clear their DVR and gossip about slutty sorceresses they know. Unfortunately nobody in the world has their knowledge or experience when it comes to apocalyptic threats, so when push comes to shove our heroes Will take care of business.
Why this world, why these characters?
Because it’s...

With the recent release of House of Cards and Hemlock Grove, Netflix has established serious interest in the original programming market. Amazon, another major player in online streaming services with Prime Instant Video, has made the first major step to follow suit. Late last week, 16 pilots were made available for free streaming on Amazon – 8 comedies and 6 children’s series. Most buzz has surrounded the pilot for Zombieland, a series written by the creators of the 2009 film of the same name. But some of the other pilots feature experienced production and acting credits (notably John Goodman in Alpha House and Jeffrey Tambor in Onion News Empire). Amazon is letting viewers fill out mini-surveys for each pilot as a means of collecting feedback to help decide whether or not a series gets picked up for a full season. Sound On Sight is here to offer some feedback for the comedy pilots:

AmazonStudios is taking a more unusual approach by letting viewers decide what they want to keep watching. The company has kicked off its screening process this weekend by unveiling its inaugural slate of 14 pilots — eight comedies and six kids shows, all made available for free on AmazonInstant Video, LoveFilm UK and LoveFilm Germany. Viewers are being invited to watch the pilots and Amazon is welcoming feedback from its audience. According to Deadline, the company will evaluate feedback from an online panel recruited on Amazon preview as well as traditional offline focus groups to decide if they greenlight a series or not. The highest-profile series is Zombieland, but the two that look most interesting are Alpha House, starring John Goodman with cameos by Bill Murray and Stephen Colbert; and Onion News Empire. Amazon has not yet decided how many of the shows will make the cut, nor when they will premiere.

LOVEFiLM have revealed that the service will host 11 original TV series test pilots for members to stream for free. The never-seen-before children’s and comedy content is being produced by Amazon Studios – the original film and series production arm of Amazon.com.
LOVEFiLM members in the UK and Germany will be able to watch the content and viewer response will then help determine which series Amazon Studios take into full-season production. The move follows the announcement of Amazon Studios’ first pilot production commitment last December which gave six original comedy shows the green light. It brings the total number of Amazon Studios pilots currently in production to 11.
The eleven pilots include:
Creative Galaxy – Creative Galaxy is an animated interactive art adventure series, designed to inspire kids’ creative thinking through crafts, story, music and dance. The series was created by Angela Santomero, creator of Super Why!, the Emmy-nominated literacy series, Blue...

Amazon Studios has ordered six pilots for Amazon Instant Video, including "Browsers," a musical comedy set at a Huffington Post-like website. All six pilots will be hosted on Amazon Instant Video and viewer response will determine which pilots get a series order.
"Since launching our original series development effort, we have received more than 2,000 series ideas from creators around the world with all different backgrounds, and we are extremely excited to begin production on our very first set of pilots," Roy Price, director of Amazon Studios, said in a statement. "The six comedy pilots will begin production shortly, and once they are complete, we plan to post the pilots on Amazon Instant Video for feedback. We want Amazon customers to help us decide which original series we should produce."

Amazon is ramping up its efforts to get an original series on its streaming service. I hear Amazon Studios, the content development division of the online retailer, has greenlighted animated comedy pilot Supa Natural. The move comes on the heels of the company also giving a pilot order to Browsers, a live-action single-camera comedy from writer David Javerbaum and 3 Arts Entertainment. Supa Natural, produced by Underground Films, centers on two outspoken divas who happened to be humanity’s only line of defense against the supernatural… just so long as they’re not busy shopping at the mall. Lily Sparks, Price Peterson and Ryan Sandoval wrote the script and executive produce with Underground’s Trevor Engelson and Josh McGuire as well as Kristen Schall and Jason Micallef. Amazon Studios signaled its entry into original series in May when it announced its plans to develop comedy and children’s programming. In addition to pilots from professional writers,...

If you're missing "The Secret Circle," don't worry -- you're not alone. Even executive producer Andrew Miller is counting down the minutes to the January 5 mid-season premiere. We caught up with him for a bit of a check-in now that the freshman series has found its footing, and he admitted that the hiatus is getting under his skin a bit.
"It's so weird!" he laughs. "We're used to seeing a response from the audience so quickly, and being able to read Price Peterson's recaps."
Miller is, of course, referring to the laugh-out-loud funny recaps that Peterson does for TV.com (they're so good, you guys). But you don't have to be a big-time internet celebrity like Peterson to catch the attention of "The Secret Circle" writers -- they're always checking what fans are saying on twitter, on forums, and in their elaborate fan videos.
